《The antagonist's daughter》Chapter 11 did lady Charlotte get possessed!?

Today is the day her home education officially (re)starts!

Expecting that that young lady would be taking her time in coming here and in a flamboyant dress at that, when professor Steins opened the door, he almost thought he was hallucinating.

Sitting there properly by the desk, Charlotte dressed in plain clothes held a book in her hand as she seemed immersed. The perfume that usually hung around her was replaced with a natural fragrant, she didn’t wear any make-up and her hair was tied in a simply bun.

When the professor opened the door, charlotte slowly put down the book and slightly frowned as she looked at the man in front of her. With a slightly displeased tone she said “Professor, I find your stare rather rude.”

Again, it was like someone was looking at a ghost when they looked at her. She was sure that her skin wasn’t pale anymore. What was wrong with people of this world?

“Ah, apologies lady Charlotte. I hadn’t expected that you would arrive before me...”

The young man of around twenty placed his bag on the table.

“I had nothing else to do and I was bored, that is all.”

(So that’s the professor Stein the maids keep gossiping about.)

While she had a calm and straight expression on her face, her thought were completely different. Lately, she had picked up a new hobby; eavesdropping on the servants. At first, she did so to gather information that she had needed to know but didn’t, but later on it was just to pass the time.

(With no Wi-Fi here, what else is there to do?)

That was also how she came to know of her professors’ names. As for this guy, Professor Steins, he was a genius scholar that graduated the academy with incredible scores despite being born a commoner. That wasn’t all that made him popular. His face was also something that girls would dream about.

(Also, I think I saw him in one of the scenarios where the hero’s party went to visit the academy one time.)

“Well then, we shall continue where we left off.”

“Understood.”

But, amongst the rumors she heard in the mansion, it was that they pitied the professor. Well, all of the professors actually. With such great prodigies as her tutors, the person in question always refused to study. But with the duke as her father, none of them dared to complain and could only endure as they patiently tried to teach her.

(Hmmn, I pity them as well)

“Alright, the last time I gave you some homework. Turn to page #13 paragraph #2. Can you please explain it for me?”

Charlotte turned the page, then secretly let out a sigh of relief as she had already studied that part just yesterday. After going through it once more, she fluently explained detail by detail aloud.

“That is all.”

“…………”

“Professor Steins?”

Charlotte tilted her head as she looked at the professor with his mouth agape.

(If you keep that up, a fly will eventually enter.)

“Is it perhaps incorrect?”

“Eh...? No, no. that was splendid!”

He seemed to have finally come out of his daze and for some reason, that strange look in his eyes was replaced with sparkles.

(…I hope I didn’t just activate this guy’s Sparta mode)

(Please spare me from that)

She had enough of those in her previous life already.

He didn’t know what had happened to that young lady to suddenly change this drastically, but it sparked the flame in his heart. He began to enthusiastically teach her the history of the country piece by piece. He felt like the time he had to teach her was somehow shortened as it was already time for her magic teacher’s turn.

He reluctantly left.

The one to enter next was a young woman also in her early twenties and also top of her year in magics. Before she entered, she had heard the rumors about Lady Charlotte from the servants that she had been acting strange and to be cautious of her. And just before she entered, professor Steins, her colleague, said the same thing, but with a completely different manner. That guy was practically sparkling!

Karin braced herself as she pushed the door open.

And indeed. The young Lady Charlotte was indeed sitting there with plain clothes, no make-up, no perfume and was actually reading. Was that a study book or something that the young girls of nobles have recently gotten addicted to?

She really couldn’t help being this paranoid.

In the past, Karin had slightly lost her temper when Charlotte kept on complaining and complaining while filing her nails. The end result was devastating. That young lay’s temper was beyond her control! It could be said that she even had a trauma of that child 11 years younger than her!

Ah, she really needed the money, so she had to keep this well paid job. All she hoped for was that that nightmare wouldn’t repeat itself again. Cold sweat dripped down her back as she entered the room.

Again, Charlotte noticed that strange look in this teacher’s eyes as well. This time however, it was pure fright!

(Sigh, Lotte Lotte my dear, what did you do to these people!?)

But, whatever had happened to the real Charlotte, even she didn’t know and would sometimes just speak to herself like that.

“Hello Professor Karin.”

(First, let’s reestablish our relationship, shall we?)

It was a pure smile without a trace of the usual Charlotte she always saw. Yes, it made her feel even more uneasy.
