《Infinity Loop》Loop 81 Abyss - Loop 82 Year 10 Day 2

Hey guys! Caelus is back! You know those voices? The ones I sometimes hear in the black space? Want to know more about them? NO!? Too bad!
Loop 81 Abyss
The voices are louder now. I can clearly hear them. They speak. They don’t speak to me though. They speak about me. Or through me. There are too many voices to make out. There are thousands, millions. I can’t count, even with my perfect memory, there is no way to distinguish them.
I pick up on something though. One of the voices seem louder than the rest. It grows more and more overbearing. It soon completely overpowers the other voices.
It is repeating the same few sentences repeatedly. I don’t understand them, though they are in plain English.
It’s like I have a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy, but with sounds instead of images. Like that guy from fight club. It feels the same for me. I am trying to make out the voice, but it is so indistinct. It feels as if my mind wishes to avoid it.
What are the voices? Why do they only appear in this abyss? Why can’t I communicate with them? They seem to know of my existence, but refuse to speak to me. Why?
The answers, as always, elude me.
I can make out one phrase from the voice though. It is blurred, somewhat muted, and mostly indistinct, but I can hear it.
‘Atomic Propulsion Gel’.
Loop 82 Year 1 Day 1
What does it mean? Are the voices able to read my mind? See my memories? Why did I understand that phrase? I had never understood anything else.
Is it because of the amount of time I spent studying APG in the last loop? Do I get more information the longer I live in a loop?
No, that last one isn’t right. Until recently the voices didn’t always appear. So, it shouldn’t have to do with the length of time within each loop.
Maybe it’s the number of loops? It has gotten more frequent recently.
I decide to drop it for now. The only way to test my theories is to die. I have a few other experiments going on right now. If I kill myself too early, my entire plan will fall through.
I decide to win the lottery again. That initial boost is all I need. Every single mineral deposit, every precious ore, even locations of gems, I know it all. There is basically nothing I can’t get to in a few years of work.
Loop 82 Year 1 Day 45
I already have a full set of satellites up and running. Only 45 days in. Heh, it’s great. I didn’t just use the US this time. I have several high tech schematics in my mind. Just by selling off a few, I am easily able to get many people to send up my satellites.
My satellites are a bit upgraded though. They are now equipped with a tech I traded Russia for. An ‘Atmospheric Ionization Ray’. It excites the electrons in the air, and creates waves of ionized atoms. The atoms are so positively charged, they suck away the electrons of other atoms.
Like the opposite of what happens in an atomic explosion. It creates a form of EMP that gets sustained over a wide area. It doesn’t even leave any radiation, just kills off all electronics.
That made me think. Why hadn’t I ever really investigated the anti-matter bombs? I’m going to fix that. I still have most of the year before they drop.
Loop 82 Year 1 Day 200

I still have 165 days before the bombs drop. I’ve been working on the anti-matter problem for a while now.
Using the ion ray as a base, I find out some basic info for the anti-matter bombs. The closest thing I can make works using both atomic explosions, and ionic explosions. It basically tears the atom apart, and renders it into pure energy.
At least, that is what it is supposed to do.
Loop 82 Year 1 Day 240
I finally make a prototype today. Most of the money I made from the lottery went to building robots, and making my usual things. The new satellites took up a lot of resources. Even with my knowledge of all of the locations of deposits in the earth, I still need to pump tons of money into the project.
I can’t reach the diamond and other materials right away, so I need to buy some that others already have. It costs a lot to jumpstart the project.
The prototype I made is a simple cannon. It can shoot out a small bomb. The bomb, according to the simulations, should delete all matter within several feet. I have the whole thing set up in a remote area in Nevada.
I bought it with some of the funds I got from playing the stock market. It’s scary how identical the stock market is every loop.
I test the cannon out.
The small sphere flies out of it. As soon as the bomb impacts with the sand, it goes off. Everything within ten yards is instantly gone.
The explosion was only supposed to extend for a few feet! What’s all this!?
Loop 82 Year 1 Day 265
With help from AI, I finally figure out the deal with the anti-matter. The energy itself acts as a sort of propulsion and continues the process of decomposition far beyond what it is supposed to do. So technically it’s not anti-matter, it’s just matter negation.
It still works the same way as the bombs that will fall in a hundred days.
The bomb explodes in a bright light. After the explosion is over, there is a crater in the shape of a sphere left. If this really is the way the bombs work, a simple Ion ray into the atmosphere would destabilize the ignition and stop the bomb from working.
Loop 82 Year 1 Day 365
The bombs drop today. Now here is something I didn’t think of looking for in the last loops. I watch the entire planet, and have AI reverse track the bombs after they register.
Of course, I am still having the Atmospheric Ionization Ray, codenamed AIR, shoot to disarm the bombs.
AI shows me the bombs. The result of the tracing is nothing short of disturbing.
The bombs are dropping, and going to explode any second now. I am so far underground it won’t matter though. I can’t feel anything.
The bombs all come from an area in the Atlantic Ocean, somewhere off the coast of North America. When AI zooms in to the exact coordinates, that is when the disturbing part kicks in.
Above a small island, the island of Bermuda, thousands of bombs appear. They don’t come out of the ground, they aren’t shot out of missile launchers, they simply appear. By going over the video of that area before the bombs appear, I discover something horrible.
There is a completely void looking hole above the island. The void seems to be spewing something. AI can’t tell what. Whatever it is spewing is completely invisible.
The only reason we even know it is spewing anything is the distortion around it. It seems to be slowly pushing the air and water around it, only in 360 degrees though. In other words only horizontally. It doesn’t spew up or down at all.

We go over all the videos from that spot. It wasn’t noticeable before, but it has been there at least since I put the satellites up. It has been slowly spewing stuff since then. This is disturbing.
I look at the world outside of the void area. The bombs have all been nullified successfully. That’s great. The AIR only lasts for a few minutes before it dissipates.
Four hours after I foil the bomb drops: Another volley of bombs come.
In fact, every four hours after I foil the bombs another round comes. The cities are getting beaten just by the hunks of metal hitting them.
I decide to let the 12th volley of bombs do their job.
Loop 82 Year 2 Day 16
The bombs destroyed everything. I got something good out of it though. I am on my way to the Bermuda. I am flying in a self-made plane. Well my robots did the work.
It’s piloted by AI. It is only a matter of a few hours to get to the island.
When we get there, I put down my condenser machine.
The condenser machine is what allows me to make APG. Remember? Back in Loop 8 Year 4 Day 229, I was able to create a thick liquid. The liquid moved very slowly, and was extremely heat resistant. When combined with radioactive Uranium, it is able to create APG.
The condenser machine simply takes all moisture out of the air, and condenses it into liquid form. It then separates the liquids based atomic structure. The HRL (Heat-resistant liquid) is one of those liquids.
I am hoping that whatever the hole is spewing out, can be harvested by my machine. Then I can have a liquid form of it. With that I’d be able to intently study it.
We arrive very quickly. As soon as I turn on the condenser, it begins making a huge amount of liquids. Mostly water, but also some of one other liquid. I am going to study the second liquid when I get back to the base.
Loop 82 Year 2 Day 17
I put the liquid through my diagnostics machine.
I get the results in only a few minutes. When I see them, I can’t believe it.
HRL!? The heat resistant liquid? What? How? The liquid I refined from the void is an extremely pure version of HRL. None of the molecules in it are connected to anything but HRL atoms. What is this?
It must have something to do with the reason I never could recall how I got the idea for APG. I don’t even know why I made the condenser in the first place. In fact, why did I think it was a good idea to take it to the void? That makes no sense.
I didn’t think it was gaseous, so why would I think it could be turned into a liquid?
Loop 82 Year 3 Day 1
I have millions of samples, and thousands of experiments going on right now. It is all based on the HRL I got from the void. It only takes one molecule of that ‘pure HRL’ to unlock the power of the APG.
When it meets the uranium, it will fuse with it. The resulting APG is somehow even more powerful.
I have been siphoning off energy from the first ‘Purified AGP’ particle for almost a year now. It seems to have a never-ending supply. One molecule of it powers my entire base. It isn’t possible, but there it is.
The void is still there. I occasionally get samples from it. I’ve noticed something about it. When I stay there for extended periods I start to feel euphoric. The result is very similar to drug abuse.
I want to be there always. I’ve become addicted. I seal myself in a room, and don’t let myself out. I do plan on having my death be there. I want to see how long I can endure it without being completely consumed by it.
Loop 82 Year 8 Day 1
I have basically done nothing but experiment on the void, and liquid I get out of it. Five years of intense studying, and I am no closer to understanding it now then I was before.
Today the Chinese brat gets his power. It’s funny that I get a full seven years on him. Poor bastard has no chance of winning. My nanites are already inside him, and everyone he loves.
As soon as he gets his powers he starts cussing. I am listening in on him. Even though the start of the loop was slightly different, he followed almost an identical path as last time.
I have listening devices set up all around his camp. I want to see how he reacts to the fact that I killed him in the last loop.
He doesn’t. He curses me for killing him on his boat. Seems like even though his past loop changed, he doesn’t know it.
This gives me a good idea about why I can’t have a kid. What if… What if my kid has a Looper type ability? Maybe that’s why I can’t have any. It has to be that Looper kid. Even though I haven’t had a kid before, the future is already set.
Maybe not, that doesn’t make much sense.
Loop 82 Year 10 Day 1
Little Emperor has gathered up a small army to assault me. He is going by land this time. Not like that matters. I have been playing an enjoyable game.
Starting with the people he sort of cares about, and going to the ones closest to him, I’ve been killing them off one per day. It’s all very amusing.
He cried himself to sleep last night. Well I killed his mother, so it makes sense. He knows he is next. I’ve been sending my flying drones to announce how many days he has left. Today said 0.
I wait until midnight. At that point, I activate the nanites in everyone in his army. Starting from those furthest away from here. They are already demoralized, from the hundred or so people I’ve killed. They go crazy when they see their imminent death approach.
I only give Little Emperor a few seconds to enjoy the show, then I kill him as well.
Loop 82 Year 10 Day 2
Some of my experiments are showing promise by now. Using the enhanced APG to coat rooms, makes it impossible for any power users to use their powers. Except those that manipulate APG.
I’ve also started to consider cloning. I’ll have to wait until the next loop the grab the info the world had, but I can do a bit on my own. I want to see if there is any difference between those that have APG powers, and their clones that don’t.
Maybe I can see how that ties to the void area. That’s my next task.

The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.
