Chapter 13 : New Trump Card
Right when the giant ape's attack was about to hit him, Ragna closed his eyes!
Anyone with a clear head would never close their eyes in the midst of a battle, let alone when facing such an overbearing attack.
The giant ape had an elated expression when it saw what Ragna was doing. This brat could finally meet his demise in its own hand.
The giant ape's attack was about to hit Ragna when suddenly his body moved in a strange, gentle, but swift manner.
His movement seemed like a single leaf in a midst of a cyclone. He looked like he was about to be blown away, yet he didn't.
No matter how you looked at it, the attack was sure to hit him, yet it didn't.
It didn't even graze him in the slightest!
One attack, two attacks, three attacks, all missed!
The giant ape punched, slammed, and swiped. But it was for naught. All of its attacks couldn't even connect.
It was Ragna's new trump card! A new movement ability taught by his uncle!
By relying on the energy emitted by other's attack, he could dodge their attack. It was akin to using other's energy to help him. Naturally, it wasn't that simple to learn.
The system hadn't recognized his new ability, but he could still use the footwork and concept he already comprehended to help him avoid the attack.
And it was a success!
Right when the giant ape's attack was about to enter its end animation, Ragna's eyes opened!
He swiftly moved through the opening. Entering the ape's inner range. Here, the ape couldn't fully utilize its long arm.
Ragna jumped and punched out a fist toward its chin. A clean hit!
But wait! Ragna didn't use his Mana Strike for this attack. It turned out that he used his left hand to punch the giant ape's chin, while his right hand was slowly charging for energy!

While the ape was still in a knocked out state, Ragna used this opportunity to hook the ape, throwing it to the spot behind him.
The ape was out of the energy because of depleting its energy for the last strike. On top of it, Ragna also attacked its chin, making it somewhat a bit muddled. All of it played a huge role in his success of being able to throw it.
The ape was now at the edge of the platform, the situation had been reversed!
Ragna didn't wait for even a bit, he quickly sped toward the giant ape while it was still in a sorry position.
Ragna threw his fully charged mana strike at the ape's stomach!
BOOM!
The ape shrieked while being blasted away from the strike. It was clear that it would fall from the platform at this rate!
Suddenly, right when it was about to fall, a strange light surged from the platform's edge. The ape slammed into the light which already materialized itself into a wall.
Strangely, the ape shrieked loudly when it slammed into the wall. It seemed like the wall brought it an indescribable amount of pain.
The ape's health was decreasing at a terrifying pace. It suddenly fell from 80% to 50% at one go!
Ragna watched the scene with a complicated expression. It seemed that the system won't let him win in an easy manner. Though, the decrease in health as a penalty seemed very acceptable for him.
Unfortunately, Ragna's relaxed expression didn't last for long. He saw a shocking thing happened to the giant ape in front of him.
Blood red magical symbols swirled around it. The giant ape was lifted into the air. Red rays of light slowly congealed toward it, forming a blood red cocoon.

Ragna felt an intense danger coming. He knew that whatever inside that thing was terrifyingly dangerous.
...
Dania typed at her keyboard with a fast yet delicate manner. She was writing her new novel.
The truth is, she was a famous author with the pen name 'Lady in a red gown'. Naturally, it was kept as a secret by her publishing company.
That night, she got lots of inspirations coming. It had been a long time since the last time she got one.
The meeting with Raka earlier that day seemed to left her with a great impression. It seemed to inspire her greatly.
Wait, no it didn't! Why on earth could her mind be inspired by a certain person? It must be because of the nostalgic moment, right?
Seeing Dania's strange expression, her friend couldn't help but giggle.
"Looks like someone is actually experiencing her youth now!" The girl had a bath towel wrapped on top of her head. It was clear that she had just finished taking a bath.
"Ugh, shut up!" Dania growled. "Don't you have anything better to do!"
"Well, the college hasn't started yet. What else should I do other than teasing you?" The girl with bath towel pounced at Dania, tickling her waist.
"Ahh! Aaah! Stop!!" Dania couldn't help but moan. The sight of two beautiful young ladies tickling each other was... Let's not talk about it.
"Hahaha whoa, it's already this late. I should start playing" said the girl. He loosened her towel, unraveling her marvelous long brown hair underneath.
"Maya again, Maya again. You should stop playing games. Study a bit more and you'll have a chance for overtaking my score"
"Boo! Who cares about studying? And FYI, playing Maya could actually improve our health by helping us enter the deep sleep!" The girl stuck her tongue out while pointing her thumb downwards. She then started grabbing her helmet, but before she could wear it, she stopped.
"What is it, Kirana?"
"Actually I just thought a great idea. I think you need to experience Maya! It would be a great inspiration!"
"Nonsense! Just go!" Dania barked. She was already close to Kirana to the point of cursing each other.
Kirana shook her head and started playing. Strangely, Dania didn't continue her writing. She seemed to ponder about something.
'Maya huh? Maybe later', she thought while smiling.

However, there are several moments that are extremely violent. I've always loved shows/movies such as, (The Expanse, The Boys, Banshee, Kingdom of heaven, Vikings, Attack on Titan, Baccano, etc.) I am descriptive of the scenes with violence. So be warned :) I've worked long and hard and have finally finished my third draft. Still needs work but everything storywise is complete. There are still a few things I need to add and tweak. Grammatical errors and flushing out the characters and dialogue still needs work. If you see any errors or plot holes, please feel free to point them out. It helps me improve upon the story.
