The core quickly scans the base to check its status and evaluate the current threat level that the base is fighting against. Unknown bugs recorded as 'Evolved Hiveranger', a poisoned needle spitting giant ant, 'Evolved Hivecorrosers', a big fly that sprays hot corrosive liquid and explodes upon being killed, and 'Evolved Hiveskirmisher', a type that similar to Evolved Hiveravagers that focus on leaping attacks. All of those creatures are just as dangerous as the already ferocious Evolved Hivewarriors, Greater Hivewarriors and Evolved Hiveravagers, so they yield quite a lot XP according to the satellite colony's latest report.

Pioneer quickly looks to its side as an Evolved Hiveravager leaps at the temporary body, the creature has by passed by the colony to try attacking the core as it thinks killing Pioneer will deter the base's defender and allow its brethren to cross the area easier.

Pioneer's second temporary body quickly reacts by raising its lightning rod and zap fry the bug, apparently, the output of the rod has increased by 2 times as the bug simply explodes and splatters its blood and guts everywhere after it got zapped by Pioneer. The core will have to be more careful about this in the future.

The thundering sound of the lightning rod in action also caught the attention of other bugs as they tried to bypass the base's defensive installations to attack Pioneer. The core needs to prepare itself to fight all the bugs alone as the drones are forced back into the transition tunnel.

The core suddenly thinks about the new skills it just received earlier, maybe this is a good time to test it out. The core decides to use both of them at the same time as it sends a warning message to the drones before evoking the 2 energy consuming skills.

The core observes magical energy begins to flow into itself as its arms starting to emit powerful but contained electrical sparks running along its arms and zapping the ground below, its second temporary body also experiencing the same anomaly, but this time the energy emission is happening on the entire hull instead of only around its arms. The core wonders what it should do next as it looks at its electric sparking hands for a second before looking back up at the charging bugs.

Just as Pioneer stretches its arms out toward the bugs, 10 hot, powerful lightning bolts are fired from the tip of its fingers and the bugs start exploding left and right as the 10 lightning bolts branch out into 1000 smaller, yet still equally frighteningly powerful bolts before electrocuting the bugs to the point of their body burst into flame and explode violently. The strike does not stop there as lightning struck bugs become energy pylons for other lightning bolts to enter and jump at other targets farther down the tunnel. The attack not only inflicted heavy magical damage on the bugs, but also powerful physical damage as the loud thundering sound become powerful shockwaves that knock the dead bugs around and sway the balance out of the living bugs after the lightning attack finished.

The core carefully observes the aftermath of the powerful skill, aside from killing a large amount of bugs and wounding countless others, the core also received friendly fire report as the facilities nearby the bugs got zap-fried as well, and the bugs on the edge of the colony are still alive, albeit gravely wounded by the first attack.

Pioneer quickly looks back as it notices the second temporary body has not done evoking its skill yet, the thing has created a small electron star that is encapsulated in a small drone which is made out of nanite and is hovering behind the second body.

Just as the second body picks out its targets, the hovering drone whose size is about as big as a soccer ball begins spewing out large electron balls 5 times the size of the drone at high speed, the drone is bombarding the area with the electron balls which explode upon contacting the bugs and release multiple lightning strikes at them. The attack thoroughly disintegrates them into ash and blast everything near the ground zero away like mini thermobaric warheads detonating in close proximity.

After 30 seconds of non-stop electron bombarding, the hovering drone finally depleted the electron star inside its hull as it fell off and disintegrated back into individual nanites. Pioneer has decimated its enemies and its satellite colony alike, the surviving drones gonna have a hard time recycling everything and bringing whatever usable as Crystallus feeding material back to the main colony to fix the place. But the important thing is Pioneer has pushed back its enemies and saved the base...or just whatever left of it which are broken and heavily damaged by Pioneer's attacks rather by the bugs' ferocious moves.

Pioneer does not sure if this is a fail or a win, or both even, for all it knows at that moment is its objective has been completed at least, and it needs to help the drones to rebuild the place and return to the outpost to check on the surviving adventurers there.

Meanwhile, in the deepest part of the cave, the queen has received great news, its children has devoured all the humanoid being on their path and exited the cave, they are fighting against more powerful humanoid beings, but they are confident that they will breach the defense and devour everything to prepare for a new hive.
