After 15 hours of doing research, harvesting Viricrystallus and expanding its own capabilities in many areas, the core has finally found out a way to harvest and reclaim minerals from the Hirudocrystallus, it also upgraded itself enough to be satisfied with the current temporary body and now planning to produce a series of robot based on Pioneer's datagram and current available schematics and technology to help the machine with all the crystal harvesting, nanite producing, organic material collecting and new colony construction.

The core decides to place the new colony right where it is standing, the area is not very big comparing to the old colony chamber, it is much smaller in fact, the thing also have 3 entrances instead of 2, one of the entrance is a small entrance that only the reduced size Pioneer can enter, this will be a very hard to defend area, however, the place already have both Viricrystallus and Hirudocrystallus node growing steadily and close to each other, the place also have a lot of minerals for Hirudocrystallus node to continue growing without needing the core to feed it, the Viricrystallus is also still feeding and growing on the remnant of the bugs' carcasses, the crystalline lifeform has only eaten through half of the total biomass pile, so this place won't need any food source resupply for a while.

The core orders the nanite to cut few large chunks of Viricrystallus from the green crystal node and shapes them into a large orb that has a diameter of 100cm, then the core constructs a platform for the Viricrystallus orb to rest on by converting general purpose nanite into structural nanite.

The machine creates a dome made out of structural nanites and electrical power-producing nanite cells around the orb before applying the energy converting power cells on the dome, the core focuses on tuning and configuring the power-generating cells to make it converting magical energy the Viricrystallus orb is emitting into electrical power, an idea it got earlier by observing the Hirudocrystallus formation absorbing magical power from the environment while Viricrystallus formation emitting it into the environment, the core thought if the core could tap into that natural power source, it could help expanding the power production capability further and improves the symbiosis relationship with the green crystalline lifeform, one receives food and gives easy to process materials and energy while the other provides food and utilizes the materials and energy to help in expanding their influence and increasing their chance of surviving in hostile areas.

Now that power is up, the core turns its attention to the Crystallus Refinery, a mineral reclaiming facility that is equipped with nanites and heavy duty equipment the core designed during the 15 hours non-stop high-speed researching session earlier, at this stage Crystal Refinery is expected to reclaim at most 45 to 65% of the mineral pockets in the Hirudocrystallus and 100% mineral value from the Viricrystallus, the processed minerals can be packaged in container made out of structural nanite for further processing stage or stored away in a safe and secure manner. The processing starts with the nano harvesters cutting the crystals down into fine crystal dust before they are transported into an electrical arc furnace that will melt the fine crystal dust in a very careful manner to avoid causing a magical energy explosion from the Hirudocrystallus which stores a large quantity of absorbed magical energy inside them, in fact, the reason why the refinery can not reclaim all the minerals is because of that very reason, if the refinery push the crystal too much it would blow up the entire area.

After the melting process is finished, a large amount of high-temperature tolerance construction nanite will be released into the molten crystal pool, these nanites will handle the mineral separation and arrange them in separate order before dumping them into the refined mineral intake vents which take the hot molten minerals into a cooling chamber to lower their temperature before the general purpose nanites reshapes them into mineral bricks and packaged in a box made out of structural nanite. The waste product from Hirudocrystallus processing session will get transported into containers for storing and further studied by the core to find a way to use them as well.

Since the tunnel is only about 3 to 3.5 meters tall and about 2 meters wide, the core will have to make the refinery into modules and put them down in a straight line instead of stacking them vertically and horizontally at the same time. The core takes some measurements and notes them down first before it harvests some Viricrystallus and converts them into nanite to start the construction of the Crystallus Refinery.

As the core constructs the refinery, it also starts looking into the Nanite Hive Factory and the Data Processing Facility too, the factory will help the machine improving its capability to produce other things on a larger scale, the drone is one of many things that the core wants to build. The drone is a rather simple general purpose or specialized unit mounted on a stable quad leg platform similar to the Pioneer's legs, they are equipped with basic AI to handle the movement and carry out instructions, but lack the required power to be a standalone unit like the core so the core will have to be the one who gives them instructions like how it controls the nanite. General Purpose drone is a simple unarmoured robot that is equipped with standard Electrical Arc tool for construction works and defending itself and standard Magical Energy Arc tool for harvesting crystals, they are capable of relaying data and energy at low speed and short range which allows them to work in group, they also have some minor add-on functions to allow them carrying out various tasks ranging from transporting duty to scouting duty. Battle Drone are simplified and armoured version of the General Purpose Drone, they are equipped with a single overcharged Electrical Arc projector that will burn and shock anything standing in front of the weapon, the weapon has a range of 15 meters and it can fire a bolt of lightning for every 3 seconds for 20 times before its internal battery unit is depleted, they also lack the energy and data relaying function of General Purpose drone, to counter this problem, the machine creates Data Relay Drone and Energy Relay Drone to allow them to communicate and recharge their battery on the field without needing to return to base.

Mobile Nanite Construction Drone are made for construction and repairing duty, they are walking nanite constructor tanks which will help the machine in the facility constructing duty and carry out field repair to other damaged drones in the field given that there have resources to do so onboard or nearby, and finally Command Drone is a mobile version of Data Processing Facility, they will act as third in command of satellite colonies and outgoing drone groups in the case of losing connection to the core or the Data Processing Facility, they will also work as mobile researching facility to aid the core in developing new technology and learning more about the world around them in detail. The two last Harvesting Drone are simply General Purpose Drone specialized in harvesting and transporting the two Viricrystallus and Hirudocrystallus that will work with the Crystallus Refinery, they are also the one who will cultivate these crystalline lifeforms when given the biomass or mineral-rich location needed to farm these important resources.

As the core orders the nanites to tether power from the reactor to the refinery, the core converts some of its general purpose nanites into Hirudocrystallus nano harvester and gives them instructions to harvest the Hirudocrystallus formation to begin the refining process, at the same time it checks how much biomass there are left for the Viricrystallus to feed on, with 37% usable biomass left in the pile, the core will have to go out and kill more bug soon to continue securing a steady source of resource income and expand its base. But first, but the core will need to build some defensive before it leaves the area to find more biomass. Two Armored Arc Projecting Tower and a Data Processing Facility should be enough to get the job done, the two things are just a metal box with a big lightning rod inside to zap fry the bugs if they dare come close to the base and a metal box with data storing and processing nanites inside to keep the base up and running while the core is out hunting, nothing too fancy and complicated like the old high-tech facilities of the old Pioneer 0, but it will do for now.

The core also looks around to find a nice place to build the nanite hive factory in the future, the thing is also just a hard metal box with some open space for storing the materials and some container tanks for the nanites, simple and oddly primitive, but still highly effective nonetheless.

As the core looks back at the fruit of its hard work, it feels a surge of voltage rising in its processing unit again, the core feels happy for successfully doing its job and progressing further ahead at a rapid rate, it is quickly recovering and replacing the old technologically advanced Pioneer 0 as mysteriously effective nanite swarm leader and crystal farmer Pioneer 1, it begins thinking about making the unknown data transmitter to recognize its new self not as a remnant as Pioneer 0, but an evolved descendant of Pioneer 0, the core will try looking into this further in the future. For now, it has facilities to construct, resources to refine and biomass to gather first.
