The machine finally got close enough to receive proximity notification data from its head after spending another hour of wandering around in the dark tunnels very slowly, unlike the first half of the trip the machine did come across some unidentified lifeforms, and since the machine did not want to fight at all since it would be suicidal to try fighting in its current condition, the machine just turned around and took the roundabout way to avoid all the unidentified lifeforms all together.
The machine was a bit surprised that it could manage to sneak pass all those unknown creatures, the machine assumed that those creatures were busy doing something with each other, fighting was one of the things first to appear in its mind since the machine did notice something similar happened before with its Lesser Magic Sense skill.
But whatever it was, the machine decided that it wouldn't put too much thought into it as securing its missing head is more important, the machine could always return to the area at a later date to investigate after all.
[/Proximity_estimation: 100m]
The machine begins slowing down its pace slightly as it carefully traverses the area while listening to the proximity notification as it does not want to step on its head by accident, the machine also checked its power reserve level to see if it has enough spare power to use Lesser Magic Sense, the machine thought that skill might make the searching a bit easier by highlighting its head or something.

The machine scans its surrounding with the skill it just casted while walking very slowly, the skill did return better navigation images, but sadly it still not enough for the machine to notice its head as the skill did not highlight its head, it seemed like Mana is not really the same as Energy as the machine assumed.

The machine now takes small, gentle steps in a slow pace as it is now in very close proximity to its head, the machine carefully lowers its stance a bit and sweeps its hands around slightly above the ground to look for its head, and as gentle and careful as it was trying to be, the machine accidentally knocked its head around a few times before it managed to get a grip on it and pick it up with its right hand, the machine finally retrieved its head, now all it has to do is to check the connections' condition for any damage before it could put the head back to where it belongs.
The machine spends a few minutes 'feeling' the damages done to the connectors with its metallic fingers by touching and tapping its head, the machine also tried to raise the head up and keep it near the radar to take an image of the damages, but it did not work very well. The machine presumes the main joint and connectors have been damaged beyond basic repair and require replacement, so, for now, the machine won't be able to use its head. It can supply its head with power by using a power cord to keep the head's emergency power reserve full and allow basic low-quality image wireless transmission through the transceiver antennas inside the head and a wireless datacoms module in its hull. The quality would be comparable to a 480x272 resolution camera running at 22 frames per second as both data transmitter and receiver modules are not yet fully repaired, and the crude radar antennas couldn't be used for basic multimedia data transmission at all.
As bad as the situation could be, the machine once again glad that at least its severed head won't become deadweight and cause more problems, and it now can see and hear the world around it again, albeit at much lower quality comparing to the data feed it used to have before it head got cut off by the bug. The machine carefully removes the old power cord stuck on the base of its head and does the new cord wiring by itself in the dark as usual, then the machine waits for the head to do the booting process before it starts the wireless configuration process for both the head and the hull.

The first thing the machine can see is the thermal signatures of its own body, the machine's body is quite warm comparing to the ambient temperature around it, but it is not warm enough to make the machine stands out too much from its head point of view. The machine slowly moves its head around to check the refresh rate, it seems like the machine won't be able to see anything that is able to move fast clearly, but it's better to see something blurry dashing around rather than seeing them just 'teleport' from one place to another due to the slow refresh rate.

The machine holds its head on its left hand tightly as it turns around and begins backtracking all the way back to the colony chamber as quickly and safely as it could, the machine has lots of things need to be done and it does not want to waste any more power lingering around idly.
Another one and a half hours passed, and the machine finally at home, the colony chamber.
The doors were smashed open and the interior was extremely messy, it seems like the bugs got in and tried to find the machine during the machine's blind adventure to find its head. Luckily the bugs did not bother touching the metal container and the fabricator in the chamber, the machine is still able to build the needed items and constructions needed for its survival and exploring the unknown world .
[/Warning_low_power: 5%]
The machine looks around quickly for a moment before it decides to fix the door first as simple steel construct can be repaired by the nanite constructor on its right arm, the machine can just deconstruct the damaged part and build it up again, after 15 minutes of work, the doors are now good as new.
Now with the doors is rebuilt, the machine returns to the fabricator and powers it up to load it with a constructing queue, basic spare parts for the neck, the air rifle, the electric sword, and the prototype power generator are the 3 first things the machine decided to build for now. Then the machine sets up a 'to build' list next to the constructing queue before the machine goes to sleep, the headless machine holds onto its head tightly as it powers itself down quietly.
On the upper area of the cave, a loud, angry screeching of a frenzied creature can be heard, the Hiveravager's rage has not yet to quell as it madly follows the faint scent of its attackers to seek vengeance on the killer of its lesser brethren.

The Supreme Cultivator
This story is a parody for xianxias, and some litRPG, where our protagonist, Bòhé chá, faces no problems at all in his life controlled by the evil author... Is the author actually evil? (This is not a rhetorical question, I'm actually curious.) PS : this is only written as a method of wasting time, so don't expect me to upload regularly. Edit : removed the LitRPG and replaced it with Satire since that is more accurate.
