The machine's head slowly rises out of its torso as the machine finished its booting process, it seems like the machine got lucky as the bugs haven't returned to finish the fight yet, and the assimilation power did its job well as the machine now seemingly in a far much better state than it was previously.

The machine's rusty and semi-broken hull has been repaired by infusing the bug's hard carapace with the old, but durable heavy alloy platings, the newly found material is much harder and resilient to damage than the bat's bones and skin it assimilated prior the battle. The machine's broken right arm and missing rear legs are also rebuilt a new, the new organic limbs resembles their original synthetic parts on the outside, but on the inside, there have a lot of changes, the newly formed and repaired hydraulic pipes is one of it, with the original pipes patched with the same material as the carapace protecting the machine and filled with what seem to be body fluid of the bugs, and the new pipes are made a new with hollowed out bones and had the same filling liquid as the original pipes. Although that improvised hydraulic system is nowhere as strong as the real deal, the machine is thankful for being able to use it again regardless as it will need all the strength it can muster without running the electric motors all the time.

The machine also had its muscle fibers reattached by using the bug's muscle cells, and of course, it was weakened the fibers considerably comparing to the fully synthesized one, the muscle system now probably exist only to strengthen the joints at this point by the look of it.

The machine feels confident that it can now fight other lifeforms more effective in its current state, however, the machine still wishes to avoid confrontation and combat as much as it could since its energy problem has not yet resolved, and the machine does not wish to provoke any conflict against the native living beings actively as a part of its programming.

The machine looks around itself for a moment as it evaluates the current situation and tries predicting the outcome of actions it could take at that moment. Since the bugs knew the machine's present in their hunting ground, the machine will need to plan out its energy usage carefully to avoid its destruction when confrontation occur. But then the machine thinks of a better idea, the machine looks in its secondary tasks, instead of continue exploring the place, the machine could try settling down and constructing a small base of operation for itself to help with the defense and power problem, the machine has most of the needed plans and schematics for it, the only problem the machine has is material, the machine figures organic matters are not suitable for all of its constructs, the machine needs a source of basic inorganic materials, iron, copper, nickel, titanium, silicon and cobalt are some of the most needed raw material in the list.

The machine scans its surrounding for the last time to get some bearing on its current location and where it is facing before it resumes the exploration duty, this time the machine focus more on finding the raw materials it needed than investigating other life forms it encounters on the way.

The fabricator would be the most important, yet the most basic construct it can build at this stage, the fabricator is a multipurpose mini factory, it is used for refining raw material like metal ores into pure or alloy ingots, then it can use those ingots to construct basic components needed for other Colony constructs and machinery, a power generator would be the thing the machine wanted to build next after it got the needed materials and components for it.

The machine wonders what kind of power generator it should construct, as there have no water around for a hydro-based or steam-based power generator, no sunlight for a solar power generator, no wind for kinetic based power generator, and there have no guarantee that the machine could construct a nuclear power generator.

The machine pulls up the thermal anomaly reports while walking slowly to look into it, the machine thought that if the machine can somehow create a similar system to its thermal power converter it could solve the power problem somewhat.

However the machine didn't know that the thing causing that anomaly to happen is not because of the design, but it is because of the machine itself, it's foreign existence in this world is already an anomaly like most of the summoned hero in Auraxim like Emperor Hito and the reincarnators, most of these world travellers often have the ability to draw magical power from the environment or control the flow of mana in their body much better than the native ones due to various reasons, Hito and Murphy theorised that it is because humans back on Earth were born without any or very little exposure to magical power, they thought that faint magical power on Earth although not strong enough to grant everyone the ability to hurl fireballs around, it could be the reason why some people can perform certain tricks like fortune telling, bending spoons and interfering with others' mind. Of course, both Hito and Murphy only consider this as one of many random mysteries like Bermuda triangle or alien in Area 51, it just something those two do to have fun with each other back in their adventurous day.

But in reality, the theory Hito and Murphy casually make fun of is not far fetched, and it could be considered to be 'just right'. As the Earth dimension lack of magical power, objects from that dimension could act like mini magic black holes when it comes into contact with a world full of magical power in Auraxim's world both in physical and spiritual manner, they are literally living magic magnets, and Pioneer 0 is one of those living magic magnet as the thermal converter quietly draws magical power in and turns them into thermal and electric power without logging those activities as if it is unconsciously doing it.

The machine keeps scanning its own thermal converter design and scaling it up to the machine desired size as it steps into a big dome like area in the cave, the place is littered with old, broken egg shells, rotten bug hatchlings and spider webs. It seems like the place was once a nest of some kind of some kind of Arachnid, a big one too.

The machine inspects the area for a few dozen of minutes before it decides to settle its first operation base there, the machine thought since this area was once a nest of a fearful hunter, no animal gonna wander into the area without thinking twice, and the place is quite big and littered with organic materials for the machine to burn to help heating up the thermal converter it is going to build. The machine thought there has no better place than this current spot, a little clean up would be nice, though.

The machine chooses the placement location for the fabricator carefully before putting the plan down and starting the construction by using nanite construction bots in a small armored container mounted in its right arm, the container was meant for the machine to hold onto sample of sentient lifeforms it might come across back in its design stage, but its maker modified it to become a mini construction nanobot container for its future exploration and construction duty.

Now with the fabricator built, the machine covers the construct by burying parts of it in the dirt and rotten egg shells to camouflage the fabricator, then the machine places a marker and leaves the area to search for raw materials it wanted.

Meanwhile, in the deepest part of the cave, an ominous creature is informed of the machine's existence as it 'smiles' eerily while looking at the smaller bug behind it.
