[/Collision_occured]
The machine kicks the attacking scorpion-like bug with its left feet after it received an attack from the same bug, the bug crashed into the machine's right leg hard and craved a bit of metal off the plating with its sharp pincer, the machine is surprised how strong the creature is as the bug only need a few seconds to regain its balance and continue the attack with other bugs in the group.

[/Warning_low_power: 20%]
The machine activates the eerie plasma blade module on its left arm and swings it sideway to cut the bug down, and to the machine's surprise, the blade just harmlessly moves through the bugs without doing much damage aside from slight burn marks although the rock and dirt melting effect still occurs normally when the blade touches the ground or the wall.
The machine remembers the previous fight against the other electric-shooting and striking robots, the machine did not receive much damage when it was shocked by the Archons, so could these bugs are similar and have resistance against thermal damage?.
Whatever it is, the machine has no time to slow down and think about it, if the blade has no effect on the bug, the machine will turn it off and start striking the bugs to dead with its fists and foot, fighting with its own bare hands, as its makers called it.
The machine quickly blocks a charging bug by holding and twisting its pincer with its left hand as the machine wrestles with the bug, the machine then notices the bug is about to use its tail to strike the machine head as other bugs jump onto the machine's back and legs to attack the taller enemy.

[/Warning: Primary_power_module_destroyed]
The bug on the machine's back penetrated the machine's rusted back plate with its tail and destroyed some of its internal components, the old, inactive hydrogen fuel cells array is one of it.

[/Warning:Critial_damage]
The machine now lost its left rear leg as one of the bug severe the joints off with its pincers, and the list of damage increased once again as the tail of the bug in front of the machine strikes its neck joint, jamming the vertical motor inside as the machine returns the attack by pouring all the reserve power it has into its left hand to break the pincer and use it as a dagger to stab the bug's head, but the bug is not dead yet, like a headless roach the bug still able to thrash its tail and its remaining pincer around violently as it tries to help its allies finishing the machine off.
The machine steps back and jumps backward at the wall to shake off the bug on its back before stomping one of its pincers, then it throws a punch at the bug hanging on its leg a few times before it tries to rip the carapace off with the same hand.

[/Warning:armright_is_offline.]
The machine pays no attention to the pop up as it steps onto the bug's tail to hold it down before it gives the carapace a strong pull, ripping a part of the endoskeleton on its back off before the machine stomps the softer part inside.
[Pioneer 0 defeated Evolved Hivewarrior| +950XP]
[Pioneer 0 assimilated Evolved Hivewarrior| Lesser Evolution Core gain 70 XP]
The bug died immediately after the strong attack and become material for the machine to repair itself through assimilation, but its death also makes other bugs to go frenzy as they put all of their minds and efforts into striking down the machine only.
The machine also does not intend to be destroyed here as it continues the fight, starting with the brain dead bug by grabbing its tail and throws it away for now as the healthy looking one hanging on its right leg is more dangerous than the brain dead one.
[/Warning_low_power: 10%]
As the bug makes loud screeching noise at the machine, the machine drives its hand into the bug's mouth and grabs its fleshy bit inside before pulling it out violently, inflicting a critical wound on the bug as it falls down on the ground and screeches painfully.
The machine looked at the creature for a second before it stomps the bug until it becomes ground meat on the ground to finish off the bug and assimilate it.

[Pioneer 0 leveled up]
[Pionner 0 is now level 13]
[Pioneer received 1 unallocated point]
[Pioneer 0 assimilated Evolved Hivewarrior| Lesser Evolution Core gain 70 XP]
The machine picks up the leftover pincer on the ground and slowly walks toward the thrashing bug, the machine has no second thought on finishing it quick and clean by using the pincer as a crude knife to stab the bug until it stops moving and assimilation process begins*
[Pioneer 0 defeated Evolved Hivewarrior| +900XP]
[Pioneer 0 assimilated Evolved Hivewarrior| Lesser Evolution Core gain 70 XP]
The machine takes a few steps back before falling on its butt with a thud, this is the first time the machine feel 'tired' since its awakening, the machine's motors has burnt out and worn out considerably, its reserve power is still dropping quite fast too, the machine also notices that one of the bugs has escaped during the latter stage of the fight, but it is too late for the machine to get up and find the fled bug. Now the machine is only able to shut itself down for a while to stock up some power and let the assimilation process giving it some much-needed repair to the worn out machine.
[/Setting_reboot_timer: 4:00:00 0/0/0/0]
4 hours of resting should be enough for now, or at least the machine think it would be enough for the machine to stock up a bit of power and the assimilation process to finish. The machine tries running a few more simulation checks to make sure 4 hours is optimal first before it shuts itself down and rests.

--------------------------
Emperor Hito, leader of the Azuria Empire.
The Emperor steps into the meeting room in his castle, today the Emperor won't be doing any normal meeting like he often does in the palace, instead, the Emperor is going to have a secret meeting with his trusty advisors.
"4 minutes early."
The Emperor murmurs quietly to himself as he waits for his advisors' arrivals diligently, he is a responsible man and a fair, busy king despite his young looking appearance, the Emperor's physical age is only somewhere in his mid-thirties, but his real age is about 76 years old. And most people knows how the Hito is able to stay young and healthy like that by reciting the tales of his journey to save Auraxim and become a powerful demi-god in the process.
"As soon as always. aren't ya?"
The Emperor is greeted by a tall, bulky white male as the man opens the door and steps into the room quickly.
"Indeed I am, Kliment. I take that as a compliment?"
The man is one of Hito's most trusted advisor, Kliment Voroshilov, or Koloss Voroshilov back in his adventuring time, Kliment was the grandson of a famous Russian Marshal who had the same name, and he is also the one supervising the country's grow in both civil and military side. The strong Russian once said that he was brought to this world when he was in his forties by a water deity to become its champion, and after finding himself saved by Hito, Kliment vowed to repay Hito's favor one day and becomes a close friend with the compassionate Japanese savior.
"Emperors don't come soon, Hito, they come in just right, if ya know what I mean."
The man replies with a chuckle as he sits down on the chair and leans back relaxingly, the large chair although seemingly reinforced with expensive woods and metal still makes a lot of creaking noise as it got bend backward a bit in respond to the man's leaning action.
"Kliment, it's rude to say such thing in front of the king and his secret services, you know?"
The conversation is interfered as the second advisor comes in with a confident smile on his face, unlike Hito and Kliment, the man seems to have a more lean build and his formal clothes is a bit messy.
"Murphy."
"Since when you 'murican care about rudeness, Huh?"
Murphy was once a conspirator and wiki editor back on Earth, the man had a lot of experiences with dealing hidden and secret information, and his ability to cover such information is also peerless in this world. Hito does not really like Murphy much due to his oddly laid back and wacky attitude, but he is reliable and can amaze everyone with his detective skills. Due to this reason Hito appointed Murphy to be his Chief of Internal and Foreign Affairs, tasked with the duty to grasp the flow of information in his hand and carry out special espionage or sabotage missions to ensure the safety and freedom of Azuria's citizen. Murphy claims to be a reincarnator and not a summoned champion.
"Since I came here with a lady, not a monkey."
Murphy replies with a smirk as he takes his seat, then the fourth and final member of the secret council meeting appears, this time from the window instead of the door.
"Such ferocious maids..."
The figure complaints to her king quietly as she climbs in and closes the window gently, then she gets to her seat and sits down as well.
"I believe it's the Japanese culture to blame, obsession with ideal cute cartoon 'waifu' heh?"
"Murphy, I personally request, no, order you to use the correct term when you mention our waifu, ani~me~~"
Hito corrects Murphy with a long sigh in the end as Kliment and the girl chuckles lightly.
"But with all seriousness, Egva, please be nice with the maids, some of them are not yet able to get used to this world, let alone keeping calm after seeing a perfectly charming girl."
The girl's name is revealed to be Egva, the only member of the council that is not a summoned champion nor a reincarnator, but native to this world. Egva real identity is unknown, what Hito and others do know is she is a subspecies of Vampire-Succubus hybrid, and she has lived and studied long enough to be able to use a wide range of magic and deeply understand thoughts and emotions of other races, she is also a pacifist and she once had special feeling for Hito. Egva is one of the prime minister and administrator of Magic Research-Education Department, she is also a part of Internal and Foreign Affair who dealt with conflicts by peaceful methods such as negotiation.
"And now without any further ado, let's begin the meeting, Kliment, Murphy, Egva. I expect a good discussion today."
The Emperor says with a prideful smile on his face as his advisors look at each other and nods before they start exchanging information regarding many aspects of the country and proposing or expressing ways to deal with those problems. And near the end of the talk, Hito noticed one special piece of information as it is presented by Murphy.
"...A roaming ancient undead in the Dark Land of Arcanis."
The Emperor mumbles quietly to himself as he remembers that bit of information seriously and continues the meeting as diligent as he could.
'Perhaps this is a warning from the god...Is it you, Azura?.'

They Are Our Smols
You’ve read They Are Smol. You’ve enjoyed They Are Smol (if you haven’t, well, prepare to not enjoy this one either). But this is smols like you’ve not seen them before. This is extreme smolness with a lemon twist: smols fucked up big time in this one, and Earth, well… Earth is empty of smols. At least the ayys hope so, because it’s fallout time back there. The ones that got away — and let’s face it, it was all of them that were left — had no place to go. Homeless, smol and needing protectings, they were taken in. For the lucky ayys out there, they’re our smols. This is a not-so-serious slice of life alternate universe where the entire population of Earth, what was left after the dead man’s switch was flipped and the nukes successfully irradiated the planet, were evacuated en masse and then taken in by the galactic civilization at large. I’ll probably write a few more in this silly, comfy alternate timeline to expand on what’s different, but don’t take it too seriously, okay? I do not take credit for the original setting, this story is set in an alternate version of the 'They are Smol' universe, written by the one, the only u/tinyprancinghorse.TPH takes many forms and is known by many names. He is like Nyarlathotep, only smaller and cuter and more prancey. TPH also has a Website and a Patreon.

The Lucky Secret
Five years ago, the Tower appeared in the Arctic circle, and people started to disappear. Not that any of this affected Cillian James, who was too busy keeping the lights on with webnovels he didn't want to write to really concern himself with some omniscient tower kidnapping people at random. That is, until Cillian is kidnapped himself, and now he has some very big problems on his hands. Namely, surviving the Tower and its homicidal salamanders and zombies and weirdly affectionate cats, and learning the truth behind the existence of the amulet titled "The Writer's Secret". Cilian isn't particularly athletic, given he spent six years glued to a computer chair, and the Tower can only give him so much strength before he's considered a lost cause, and he's not prepared in the slightest for this. He's a bit weak, he hates killing, and spends more time screaming than he does actually fighting, but if there's one thing he's got going for him, it's his impressive self-perseveration skills.
