The machine kneels down in front of what seem to be a dead giant lizard and pokes the warm carcass curiously, it wonders what kind of creature is this and what killed it as the machine performs basic inspection on the carcass by touching and observing the thermal signatures on and around the carcass, then the machine looks around slowly as it tries to see if there have any kind of collateral damage around the area as it slowly gets back up.

The machine kicks the dead body gently a few times as it tries to get the assimilation notification to pop up, but all the feedback it get is the carcass get nudged around as its entrails fall out of its body through the gaping holes on its body, it seems like the evolution core does not allow the machine scavenging the dead body for its own use.
As the machine finds no reason left to stand around and it does not want to bury the body in case there have some kinds of scavenging creature live in the cave too, but then the machine wonders if the bat creature in the cave is a type of scavenging animal or not as the dead lizard would be an excellent bait to gather the bats around for the machine to score an easy hit on them with a big rock or something. Normally the machine would not consider that idea a good idea as killing other life forms could have a lot of indirect impacts that is harmful on the environment that said life forms live in, and if the bats are capable of intelligent and sentient thoughts to some considerable extent, harming them actively would be no different to provoking a war and going against the machine's protocol. But since the bat does not seem all that smart and keeping itself operational to continue its mission is more important. The machine has no other good option that it could think of to take at this point.
The machine quickly picks up the dead lizard carefully by holding onto its shredded tail with its left hand and raising the lizard's mangled head with the machine's right wrist before walking around to find the bats, the machine seems somewhat excited about this, not the carrying carcass nor the mass murder it is about to commit, of course, the machine is excited because this would be its first time actively interfering with the wild life's life, the machine wonders how the bat would react to the dead lizard, would they eat the dead body immediately or the machine would have to step back away from the carcass and make some distance?. The CPU piles up quite a lot of questions as the machine continues looking for the bats.

After 15 minutes of walking, the machine finally spots a small group of bats hanging around on the ceiling, they aren't numbered as much as the machine wanted, but it will do for now as the machine begins its little experiment.
The machine rips a bit of meat from the dead body with its left hand and tosses it at the flock of bats gently, and the bats just simply ignore it.
The machine waits for a moment before it tries throwing another piece of meat at the flock of bats, again, the bat just ignores it completely. The first try of luring the bats in has failed by the look of it, the machine slowly looks down at the carcass on its hand quietly as it spends a few seconds picking its next move. The machine decides to drop the dead lizard gently and walks away quickly to find a place to conceal itself as it assumes that the bats will start dropping down on the carcass for a meal soon.
5 minutes later after the machine went hiding, the bats begins crawling around and dropping down on the dead lizard to eat it, the machine has succeeded in luring the bat in, now it just need to wait for a little more to make sure all the bats are focused on their meal before the machine moves out and starts the killing with a bunch of rocks, the machine won't be able to make any bat explode with the rock it can hold and throw, but it's still enough to knock those bat unconscious or wound them considerably for the machine to move in and finish them later.
*Screechs*
[/New_lifeform_discovered]
The bats quickly flies away from the body before the machine could carry out its plan as a group of giant bugs appears, the bug looks a lot like scorpion with its curved pointy tail on its rear and a pair of sharp pincers next to its mouth, the bug only has 4 thin long legs, but they looks quite strong as it is able to support a body as big as a horse and the bug's movement speed is much faster than a normal oversized scorpion could move in theory.
The newly appeared life form scare the bat away as they move in to capture the carcass, the machine notices that the bugs seem more intelligent than the bats as they display teamwork ability far better than the bats, and they probably stronger too as the bat seem to be afraid of them, and the bugs can also be seen dragging the dead lizard away from where the machine dropped it earlier.

[/Lifeform3_rename: Scorpion1]
One of the bugs seems to spot the machine as it raises its tail up and stands in a threatening manner, the bug although can only see in infrared light like the machine it seems more sensitive and has sharper sense than the machine's damaged optics. And as soon as the machine moves its arm slightly, the bug begins to screech loudly to call for its allies' attention and charges at the machine, it seem like the bugs thought the machine to be a hunter waiting for a chance to attack the bug or just a hiding pray, either way, the bug are the one who take the initiative in the attack.

The machine once again stands ready and waits for the bug to attack first before it retaliates however it sees fit according to its programming, but this time as the bug seems more dangerous than the human it met previously and the machine could try to assimilate the enemy it defeats to repair itself, lethal force would be unavoidable.

--------------------------------
Emperor Mitsuki Hito, leader of Azuria Empire.
Emperor Mitsuki Hito is one of the founders and also the great leader of a great nation, the Empire of Azuria, and today is the Emperor's birthday.
Or rather, it is the day Mitsuki Hito first came to this world 50 years ago.
Mitsuki Hito was once a simple 21st-century Japanese salaryman who was summoned to this world by the Human's king and princess as a hero to fight the great demon god. Hito was 24 years old on that important day.
Hito was reluctant and shocked when he learned the duty resting on his shoulder, he agreed to help the human king and became the human's champion, a fighter for humanity's sake, only because at that time, Hito was naive and only want to go back to Earth as soon as he could, he believed that by defeating all demon and the demon god Hito could find a way back to Earth, but as time passed, Hito's goal began to change, the more time he spent with the people in this new world, the more Hito wanted to slow down and help them little by little, sometimes he slain demons harassing the villagers, sometimes he brought back belongings of the dead to inform the family of the fallen member.
As Hito slowly went astray from his original path to destroy the demon god, the human's king began to lose his patience, and after Hito refused to marry his daughter who loved the hardworking hero madly and wanted to manipulate him. The human's king banished Hito from his Empire and erased all records about Hito, to make matter worse, the king began to summon another hero and called Hito a heretic and betrayer of mankind, Hito was forsaken by the Empire he tried to save.
Fortunately, the people of that Empire refused to believe their king and secretly helped Hito as the newly summoned heroine began her long journey to hunt down Hito and the demon god, unknowingly that Hito was innocent as she was tricked by the king and the princess.
Meanwhile, the demon king tried summoning a champion to fight the human's hero as well, however, instead of calling forth beings from another world, the demon king was able to open a spiritual rift to both Demon and Human Empire, this brought in the first wave of 'Reincarnator', a group of demon, demi-demon and human who were all once wandering souls of dead being from another world.
As the balance of the spirit world tipping off suddenly without any warning, the slumbering gods and goddesses now find themselves awaken to interfere with the world, all have their own plans to remold the world as they see fit to become the dominant deities. This day is remembered in history as 'Judgement Day' by all humans as well as most demons and other races.
In the midst of chaos, Hito emerged and started venturing around the world to gather reincarnators and subdue rampage gods and goddesses with the human heroine. The story of how Hito cleared all the lies and misunderstanding stories created by the human king to persuade the heroine remained a mystery, however.
Hito's journey to save this damned world took 12 years to finish, the legendary hero managed to slay the insane Human's king and pushed back the demon god as his heroine companion delivered the last blow to finish off the demon king and closed the rift. The girl sacrificed herself in the process, however, she was, and still mourned and remembered to this day as Azura, the goddess who saved the entire world from total destruction as Hito steps down as a sidekick only.
Now stuck in this magical world as a demi-god who managed to slay many gods and goddess and to even pushed back the great demon god, Hito decided to abandon all hope to return to Earth, and instead call this place his new home as he rallied his reincarnator companions once again for a new mission, to establish a great nation that is equal to all races, a place that the native races can enjoy a better life while reincarnators can experience their old life in a new world and new events, a place to serve as the greatest achievement of Hito and his companions' journey, a place to announce a new age is coming for the entire world.
And now, 10 years later after the kingdom is established, Emperor Hito feels something great is going to happen once again as he turns to the North of his castle and looks at the unexplored region of his kingdom, the Dark Land of Arcanis.

This is honestly a side show to my current webseries despite how much I love it. And once again this story features characters belonging to those friends I mentioned earlier, but this time I'll wait to reveal who is who. The cover art was done by the fantastic Teamoon!
