POV: Mystical Sakura

‘Well that was fun while it lasted, after the nymphs got an upgrade I was immediately bombarded by questions from the other fairies about what happened. After answering them it was obvious which question would come up next, well that’s what I thought but I wasn’t too far off the mark. The pixie with flame coloured hair that I’ve taken to calling matchstick demanded that I advance her class. I told her I could only do it if she swore her loyalty to me, really I’m not very sure but this is how I’m going to do it. Of course she did not take too kindly to that statement and left the clearing leaving behind what I’m assuming are curses from a pixie’s perspective. They included a lot about my lack of sparkles and that I wasn’t pink enough, how should I react to that, I’m mostly curious as to how she thinks that will affect me.’

‘Moving on the four nymphs who I helped to advance now have different appearances, honestly I thought the three guardians would look exactly like Ellie since all low rank nymphs look the same. While they do resemble one another there not identical anymore but could still pass as triplet sisters. Maria has short spiky green hair and her features seem to have changed to match her cheery and cocky attitude, with big round eyes and a grinning smile. Her clothes have changed from a leaf one piece skirt into pants and sports bra which is doing a good job of keeping those assets of hers in check not quite up to Ellie’s size but decent oranges. She also grew a little not by much; if I were to think of the standard nymph as 10 years old then Maria is about 12 early stages of puberty. Tia confirming my suspicion has grown to resemble a young princess with long smooth hair reaching her knees (still green) and strict features containing straight eyebrows, oval eyes and puckered lips. Dress is still a one piece though its length has gone below the knee only revealing her feet. Height… well she got shorter (8 years old) and somehow her bust decreased from buttons to a board, happy days for some people out there in the world. Lastly we have Aria, who has no changes apart from her face which has a more calculative expression like she’s plotting something. Her lack of change in the body department could be to trick her opponents; they would never know she has evolved.’

‘Finally we have Ellie who has changed the most out of the group, but considering what rank she has reached that shouldn’t be a surprise. She has grown taller and no longer resembles a child but a teenager I would guess around 15-16, her chest still carries those melons. Overall I would say she has matured assuming this pattern continues her next upgrade would make her look like an adult. I do hope we don’t have to deal with Ellie going through a rebellious phase because of her appearance. Let’s see what the status screen has to say about these new improvements.’

‘They have all become forest nymphs meaning there range of travel has just increased, their class has also improved Ellie is now a normal nature spirit meaning her spells are probably even more destructive. All there levels are low but after a rank up it’s expected, except for Aria but she had almost reached the maximum level on her own so the extra points I gave her just carried over. With their new bodies I probably should have them train a bit, I have no doubt that we will see some intruders in the near future I’m expecting the elves but humans are also a possibility. I probably should look into increasing my own attack power I haven’t got any real attack skill. My roots can be used for improvised punches but are not actual weapons my passive skill steel roots just makes them harder to damage and break. As for my mana manipulation skills although I was originally hopeful I can’t use my skills like I wanted. I can move mana, focus it into an area or take it away but I can’t take away another’s mana only reduce the amount a person can absorb and slightly sabotage some of the mana heavy spells, support stuff really. This means I will have to buy more skills, status screen please search for attack skills.’

‘Ok need to narrow it down, something I have learned from this search engine is that it finds all the abilities related to the criteria I mentioned. However even when I purchase it does not mean I can use it or use it effectively anyway, I mean how does a tree use sword skills.’

In his mind a knight had approached a normal oak tree and challenged him to a duel, surprised when there was no reply the knight seemed to face the screen and sweat dropped.

‘Yeah those skills are out of the question, so I guess my first search should be attack moves that plants can use.’

Certain abilities have merged due to their nature cooperating. Chomper Buds have become Carnivorous Chomper Buds.

Looking to an empty part of the clearing the being proceeded to attack thin air with a variety of jabs, slashes and whips with his roots before finishing by bringing four of them down at once onto the ground. Shocking the 4 nymph spectators that have recently recovered the final attack left a large dent in the earth. Withdrawing all but one of his roots, the root then grew a flower bud which split in half revealing rows of sharp canine teeth with a leaf tongue.

[Ellie] “Master is truly amazing.”

The other nymphs nodded their heads in agreement while the being couldn’t help but get cocky which in turn revealed something that will change his current existence.

[???] “Of course, what else would you expect from a being created by the great goddess of life Irena.”

After those words were spoken by a cocky yet neutral gendered voice the clearing was silent as everyone stared at the source, the carnivorous flower bud spoke once more.

[Flower Bud] “Well fuck me.”
