POV: Mystical Sakura

‘Well that was disappointing; humans, elves and even my nymph guardians were hopeless in combat, or was I expecting too much. Looking back over my encounters the past week let’s try to analyze the events, no doubt they will send more so I need to learn what I can from these encounters even if I crushed them. First we have the elves, twice they attempted to breach my barrier and both times they fled after encountering minimum resistance from my part. Their first time I can assume they were a scouting party whose purpose was to gather information, while they didn’t seem high rank they moved as if they had a goal. They were able to penetrate the barrier but fled before I even initiated any sort of combat, I will assume the information about sentient trees was enough for them at the time.’

‘The second encounter with this species they came with an elf dressed in brighter coloured and more comfortable looking clothing. I was confused at first as he advanced towards me without the others however the next thing I saw definitely grabbed my attention. Mana was flowing, he was using magic but whatever he was attempting did not seem to happen as anger creased his face when the mana flow stopped. The mana flow came again only this time it controlled the winds and shredded some of my roots, fair to say that angered me and when he turned away in his arrogance I paid him in kind. They left soon after dragging the man behind them, taking from that experience I learned what wind spells look like and assuming his first outburst of mana was nature magic. It didn’t really look impressive more like he released his mana without giving it a purpose kind of like I’m doing to permeate air with mana for my new residents.’

‘Next we have the encounter with the humans, their first encounter almost didn’t happen as I could see them moving along my border kept back by my barrier. That is until they stopped for a moment before coming straight towards me, I decide to test them with my little barrier to gauge their reactions. Overconfident at first which let me get an easy hit but they quickly wised up and fled knowing their limits. I’m giving them the benefit of a doubt that they left because they were smart and not just cowards as if that were the case they would probably have left their friend behind.’

‘My next encounter with the humans I decided to let my nymphs have a go defending, good news I learned a valuable lesson early before any serious assaults. Seriously it was like looking at children fighting, Maria while being strong enough to crush her attacker could not touch her opponent. Ellie was not any better though in hindsight I did kind of ask for a magic user to be on the front-lines, when the group reached the clearing I decided enough was enough and chased them off.’

‘I’m not too disappointed this was a test anyway for the nymphs and to gauge the strength of my opponents this was the first group that made any real attempt at an attack even if it was simply to scout the area. With the results in I now need to strengthen my forces; the nymphs need more nutrients and perhaps a way to test themselves, my nutrient generation needs to be boosted and I should probably add some more action related skills to my repertoire.’

‘First order of business my current stats, haven’t really checked the whole thing for a while now.’

‘Wow almost a month already, haven’t really noticed all the time going by, …eh it just means more nutrients to spend a good thing really. Now the first thing I want to do is expand my current root system not only for extra nutrients but to increase my range and damage for when I use mobility to swing my roots like a club. ‘Steel Root’ already ensures they have a decent defence so I won’t lose durability by doing it this way. Now then I currently have 100 roots at level 5 each individual root generates 16N per hour and the roots themselves are as thick as the arm from a bodybuilder of the extreme kind. I could add more or increase the level of the ones I currently have, I also need to think about a skill to stretch my own reach currently I have the clearing under my personal control but the rest is held via proxy of other trees.’

‘Start with the costs, a new root costs just 10N but needs double that amount for each level up, at level 5 that’s 310N each. To extend the reach of my current roots that’s 31000N which is … surprisingly affordable.’

Do you wish to purchase 200 roots and upgrade them to level 5 for 62000N?

‘Yes, now adding them to my current 100 and I’ve just tripled my personal reach enabling to personally assist my three guardians without using a proxy. Next their level, to increase 300 roots to level 6 I would need to pay double the amount it cost to reach level 5 multiply by 300 and we get, 96000N which is acceptable to me.’

Do you wish to upgrade 300 roots to level 6 for 96000N?

‘Yes, … you know it really is weird to suddenly grow bigger and instantly adapt to it, not like the times were I suffered immense pain from some of my other decisions. I guess it like when you grow as a human adapting as your body grows but accelerated as if time was manipulated. Anyway moving on, current stats please.

‘Nice that’s almost 10000N per hour that is definitely going to help boost my strength in a short amount of time. Now on to my guardians, if Ellie’s experience was anything to go by then their first power boost should be easy. That said I also need to talk with them about their power, for a being with weak in their stats there power could crush the best from my original world. Against this worlds fighters I’m not entirely sure they only battled one human scout group and no one actually got hurt in that battle. Ellie did take out those wolves but they were considered weak as well able to be handled by normal townspeople in the right circumstances. Perhaps that is what I need to focus on, a civilian with some training as a hunter is more likely to survive than a new adventurer, basically my guards need experience.’

‘Looking over them they have already started to focus towards a type of combat profession. Tia uses various poisons with different methods of delivery, Maria has focused on brute strength but nothing else really definition of muscle head. Aria is a manipulator, kind of like a puppet master she can use her magic infused words to control things like the trees around her, except me of course. Ellie focused on magic but apparently her nature magic was limited to simple attack spells like spike grass, root strike and leaf dart. Since she got an upgrade to a lesser nature spirit her magic has become more potent and deadly not that it wasn’t deadly before.’

‘Which brings me to this class system they have, unlike other sentient creatures that get classes like archer, warrior the typical RPG classes. Fairies have a fixed class when their formed and it behaves like a jack of all trades however the advantage is its ability to evolve. Unlike other sentient races when fairies reach a certain level they have an increase in power followed up with a class upgrade and a change in appearance. This is similar to how monsters and beasts get stronger, when I asked the nymphs they were unsure but my theory is that they are more primal that the other sentient creatures. Take Earth history as an example around the time of the dinosaurs creatures were always adapting and changing to the environment. But sentient creatures like humans don’t adapt to the environment they change it to suit them. Now when I said before that a member of the other sentient races can’t get dramatic changes that might have been incorrect, they can it just takes more effort for them than it would a fairy, effort they aren’t usually willing to give. I am told these power increases do not have a limit it is just hard to achieve heck it took Aria who is the closest to achieving it naturally 322 years to get where she is, lucky for them I have a shortcut.’

‘Ellie would you bring the other nymph guardians to the clearing.’

Couple of minutes later a group of four nymphs arrived still as indistinguishable as last time except for the leader with long hair and big assets. They stopped in front of the large sakura tree at the center of the clearing waiting for their leader to speak.

‘Okay girls because of the recent incidents I have decided that we need to strengthen our defences any questions?’

[Ellie] “Wonderful idea master.”

‘She may still be slightly traumatized from that punishment I gave her, she’s so eager to agree with me.’

[Aria] “What type of defences are you suggesting master, perhaps another barrier or maybe using Tia’s and my own strengths to create one.”

Tia was nodding ecstatically at the mention of herself being useful to me.

‘That’s not a bad idea but I was thinking about upgrading my protectors.’

At those words in their heads the Tia, Maria and Ellie began to shake and their faces showed worry, Aria stared at the tree with a suspicious look before asking.

[Aria] “Do you mean to replace us master?”

‘What the hell gave you that idea, no I wasn’t planning to get rid of you I was going to help you advance to the next level like I did with Ellie.’

At those words the three nymphs turned to look at Ellie, seeing this she took a pose with her head high, hands on her hips and chest out flaunting her generous assets.

[Maria] “Does that mean you will give us big boobs as well?”

‘If a plant could spit take I am pretty sure that is what I would be doing right know. How you will change I am unsure but I do know you will get stronger by me doing this.’

[Aria] “Master how are you going to do that, many methods have been used to increase a beings power, while some were unsuccessful there are others I cannot condone.”

‘You don’t need to worry; I assure you it is not dangerous, gruesome or evil. I’m just going to stuff your bodies full of my nutrients until glow with power.’

[Nymphs x4] “WHAT!”

‘I am so evil, transfer 1000N to Tia, Maria and Aria, yes I agree to the transaction.’

After the message disappeared the three nymphs collapsed on the floor holding themselves and shivering in a very erotic fashion. Tia and Maria seemed confused of what’s going on while also enjoying themselves. Aria while suffering the same fate seemed to enough control to glare at me before a large wave hit her. Ellie was standing at the side gazing down at her fellow guardians recalling her own situation then looking towards the sakura tree.

‘Don’t think I have forgotten about you, you will need some extra care and nourishment to grow, I really am an evil bastard. Transfer 35000N to Ellie, yes I agree to the transaction.’

When the words spoken finally reached Ellie and her face gained a look of surprise she collapsed in a heap shaking and moaning with pleasure. All four nymphs were now suffering from the extreme pace at which nutrients were pumped into their body. The noises which escaped their bodies drew attention from some of the other fairies in the clearing. The stares grew as light started to escape from their bodies signifying their growth to the next level.
