Authors Notes: Well that's the introduction out of the way, and before Christmas as well, it's unfortunate to say but I probably won't release another chapter until after new year, however i'l still be writing so who knows I might release multiple chapters to start the new year.

During the battle involving a pack of wolves and two nymphs, none of them realised that another presence was observing the fight. Once the battle was over he returned to his body to contemplate what he just saw through the eyes of Aria’s tree.

‘That was… anticlimactic, don’t get me wrong I’m glad no one was hurt but still a few words and pack of what I’m guessing were monsters got eaten. I guess that’s the power of magic for you, but who knew it would be so effective, why don’t we see what else those four have up their sleeves.’

‘Ok now we can start to make sense of things here, for starters although Ellie has a lower level the others have weak in their class names. With this I can assume that Ellie is naturally stronger though their current levels might make them equal in fighting potential at the moment. I can’t see their abilities but I have a rough estimation from their titles; I have seen Ellie use magic and her title suggests she specialises in high damage AOE spells. I didn’t see Aria use magic but I saw the tree she was holding bend to her will and with her title I’m guessing she is able to manipulate objects possibly people and beasts as well. Tia seems to use poison but her title suggests she uses it in a special way, and finally Maria well her title says it all, Crusher no further explanation necessary. With their powers explained it’s time to ponder something else I have noticed, Aria’s status, compared to the others she’s older and if not for my intervention she would be the strongest. Her titles suggest she was capable before I showed up and she seems to be suspicious of me, need to pay attention to her I don’t think she will go against me at least not without a good reason so it’s fine for now.’

As the being was thinking he pictured the movement of scratching his head only to be repaid with the feeling of having the back of his head slapped like an angry parent would do.

‘What the heck was that, am I under attack how the hell did they get past the nymphs, I need to see this…’

The being turned his attention to outside his body and was surprised by what he saw. All around his body roots had broken through the earth and were now pointing towards the sky while swaying from side to side as if waiting for a command.

‘Nooo it couldn’t be.’

As the being was imagining his arms crossing each other the roots attempted to mimic the image by intertwining with one another only to create a mess but the main point was seen.

‘There mine, these roots are mine, ha ha ha this is brilliant forget attack and defence this is all the fire power I need.’

The being proceeded to manipulate his roots in a variety of ways; waving, curling, smashing the ground, he was giddy with anticipation.

‘What about the Root Network, if Mobility is this overpowered what about the other one, if I remember it requires root on root contact. Anyone who just thought of a dirty joke screw you this news is too good to be ruined by bad jokes.’

The being made his roots burrow beneath the earth and stretched them out each one attempting to contact a single tree, when contact was made.

‘Oh goddess in heaven I offer you a prayer for this is the greatest day of my pathetic existence.’

After the being made contact with other trees he noticed he was able to control them like it was another part of his body.

‘If I’m right in my deduction these abilities make me some kind of hive mind and every tree I touch becomes another extension of my being. He he he this is going to be fun with my new powers the world is at my fingertips or at my roots, ha ha ha look out world here I come.’

In the future the Forest of Wolves would later come to be known as the Living Forest and its danger rank would be raised from F to B with an added notice stating ‘Beware the tree’s, they see everything’.

POV: Goddess of Life

In another dimension looking over the world of Floeria, two beings have appeared to discuss current events.

(Fila) “Hello Irena nice to see you too, so how’s it going with your new follower?”

(Irena) “It’s been so stressful, does everyone have this much trouble with their followers.”

(Fila) “Well some more than others but considering your follower is broken in every sense of the word it’s bound to cause trouble.”

(Irena) “He offers his thanks to me for the smallest of things it’s a bit distracting and his plans for the future are embarrassing.”

(Fila) “Maybe you should consider making him your champion, those two are starting to make their move and others are already preparing ways to reduce the damage but your elf’s are currently defenceless.”

(Irina) “He has rejected them completely elf magic can no longer be used around him.”

(Fila) “I guess he didn’t take their desertion likely, what about his abilities I sure they were helpful.”

(Irina) “It’s horrible, why did we give him those abilities, each one of them has caused problems. My blessing was too powerful in his hands, the extra growth almost caused a paradox and the status ability no longer responds to me.”

(Fila) “That’s definitely problematic perhaps you should think about killing him off that’s what some of the other gods do.”

(Irina) “But that’s not fair, it’s not his fault Alena gave him an ability that caused a time paradox when he grew too fast.”

(Fila) “Speaking of that paradox how did you deal with it without alerting the other’s besides Alena?”

(Irina) “I was very surprised when I noticed it I started panicking but then it sorted itself out.”

(Fila) “Sorted itself out.”

(Irina) “Yeah.”

(Fila) “I’m afraid to tell you this but that’s impossible.”

(Irina) “Whaaa… But then what happened.”

(Fila) “Something very interesting and very scary.”

Meanwhile in another dimension outside the understanding of the two gods another being was observing there conversation.
