Upgrades your roots and stem to level 6 you also gain the ability to move trunk and branches but lose the possibility of future growth, intelligence is also reduced to that of a stroppy child.

‘Fuck that, next choice, let’s try the Undead Wood.’

Upgrades roots and stem to level 4 also gains the undead attribute, immunity to magic and immunity to status effects, however you lose your growth potential, Life Blessing and sentience.

‘Blasphemy, now I know how those church freaks in novels feel, there is no way on this planet will I choose to throw away a gift bestowed upon me by my goddess, what about the shroom?’

Giant Shroom 20,000N

Upgrade roots and stem to level 4 and unlock all fungal parts and abilities in the Growth Menu, your growth will be limited with this option.

‘That’s not as bad as the others, but my future is set in stone with this option, maybe some of the more normal looking options; queens out, spawner nope, Chocolate Tree… really, guess my only option is the Mystical Sakura.’

Mystical Sakura 25,000

Upgrade roots and stem to level 5, grants Calming Aura, increase in Fairy Attraction and Healing Petals, unfortunately this form cannot gain nutrients from the sun.

‘Winner, might be expensive and a bit limiting but definitely a better choice for growth, especially since my root farm will still have use, it was expensive to make.’

POV: Ellie

‘I led the others to where the master actually resides and waited until he was ready to show his true form. It didn’t take long, after a few minutes a bud sprouted from the ground in this small clearing.’

[Tia] “Isn’t it a bit small?”

[Maria] “I expected more from something with such abilities.”

[Aria] “Maybe it’s still hiding?”

‘The others think it’s all over, but I know better he’s just testing us, after he’s satisfied he will then surprise us with a feat that should be impossible.’

The ground started shaking with the sapling at its center, the sapling had begun to grow and fast like climbing a ladder towards the sky. While going up it started to thicken its light green colour started to lighten and its flesh became harder. The bud started to separate into limbs, spreading out as if to grasp the sky. The growth finally stopped and there stood a white barked tree that stood above its surroundings, branches then began to shake as buds appeared and blossomed into beautiful petals, the tree then began to emit an aura signifying the end of its growth.’

‘The others have frozen with shock, I expected this he does enjoy surprising people, even I’m shocked by his form.’

[Ellie] “Hmmm, did I get it wrong, I thought from his attitude and actions that he would be a guy, but could he actually be a girl?”

‘This grabbed the others attention.’

[Tia] “What are you talking about?”

[Maria] “Yeah, how can a tree have a gender?”

[Ellie] “Not physically, but she does have a soul which means a personality and they lean towards one side or the other, even gods do it, and from what I saw I thought it was a male but guess I’m wrong.”

[Aria] “Even with a personality it’s still gender-less.”

[Ellie] “But how do we refer to her, we can’t call her an it?”

[Tia] “I’m… okay with her being female.”

[Maria] “It does make things easier.”
