Authors Note: I know this is a small chapter but it felt like a good place to stop, I don't plan on having many small chapters but there may be more in the future. ‘A gain of 62 huh…, I could get 6 roots, maybe a stem, or level up 3 roots to level 2… (Long sigh) this is my life, stuck underground counting the hours by and each hour only adds 1 branch to my body. There’s got to be a faster way to grow a plant.’

With that thought my attention was drawn to one of my abilities and I started to contemplate what this decision would mean.

‘… Screw it let’s get some nutrients … not sure if that was dirty or weird… screw that too.’

I went to my body layout that has now been upgraded to function similarly to a map showing the presence of other trees, grass and plant life. However my view is still confined underground so I only see roots, big tree roots and small grass or flower roots.

‘Now to select a target, the closest one with a decent size is about … how do I measure distance here; meters, centimeters, inches. IL just go with root length, they all grow to the same length anyway, another fail for biology. Let’s see from myself it’s about 4 roots, so if I add 3 to an existing root we can make contact.’

With the pain that comes with having your arm ripped from its socket, blood drained followed by cauterizing of the wound, I then lost consciousness.
