《An A.I Is Such A Cheat In The Martial World!》Chapter 24 - Complications

The party huddled around, consuming Elixirs to alleviate the pain caused by their injuries against the King Ranked Ferocious Beasts. While Cesar had not been injured, that was not the case for the younger generation. Even General Calix had been injured during his fight.
“I knew it! We should have asked those Grandpas for help! Look at me! My face is now scarred! I'm ugly! Hideous! No girl will want me anymore!” A young male complained.
“Scars are the battle wounds men wear with pride! Don't be a sissy. Women don't like flowery and girly men.” Another young male said.
“Women like men with strength and character. You lack both.” Lisa said.
Hearing such words, the first male dropped to his knees in despair. Cesar just looked on in silent amusement. The younger generation had just defended against a King Ranked Ferocious Beast while most of them were in the Houtian Profound Realm. That was a accomplishment worthy of praise. Blake, Lisa and General Calix had fought another King Ranked Ferocious Beast together and had gotten off with light injuries.
Desmond however, had easily killed a King Ranked Ferocious Beast by himself. He had his Imperial Families advanced techniques and even though his Cultivation had stagnated, his killing technique was still sharp. Tens of thousands of hours worth of killing and tempering himself was not lost because he had become a Village Head.
Desmond looked at Lily. “Are we traveling alone or should I ask the Lords for their assistance?”
Lily thought for a moment. Their primary objective was to get to the Capital to negotiate for the Space Meteorite. She alone was enough to ensure their safety, even against Desolate Beasts. She also wanted to hunt Desolate Beasts... “We'll be fine Desmond. There will be no casualties against Desolate Beasts if that's what you're worried about.” Lily said with confidence in her voice.
At the Elementary Profound Realm, a Cultivator was titled Lord, or Human Lord. Transcending to the Elementary Profound Realm was a monumental achievement. There were only 100 or so figures in the entire Capital. Each one was either an Elder of a powerful Clan or Family, or belonged to The Floating Cloud Imperial Family. Seeing two Elders in the same place, Desmond knew it was a moment of opportunity.
Hearing Lily's words, Desmond didn't hesitate and nodded with agreement.
Cesar couldn't help but think something was wrong. His instincts were yelling at him to run. Thump! Thump! Thump! His heart was rapidly pumping blood in his veins, preparing him.
Cesar went through his memories, trying to find out the outlying piece of information. “The LORDS!” Cesar yelled in his mind! During the entire fight, the Lords ignored them! While that might look normal, it wasn't!
Then it happened. While everyone was resting and treating their injuries, two crushing Auras enveloped them.
Time slowed down... It allowed Cesar to react. He coated himself with his own Aura, counteracting the Auras trying to crush him. If it hadn't been for Jasmine slowing down time, than Cesar knew he would have died. Yet he didn't move. He grit his teeth and waited. He acted like the suffocating Auras were still affecting him. His eyes became blood shot, his hands tightened in a death grip because not everyone had been as lucky as him. He should have listened to his instincts and regret not doing so. Now, he looked at the consequences of his lack of actions in front of him with an ice cold calm.
“Haha! We should treat this as tempering ourselves. After this, we'll all be great Cultivators with a great futur...” The young Cultivator with aspiring dreams couldn't even finish his sentence as his dreams, mind and body were crushed into oblivion.

The unassuming and chattering Houtian Profound Realm Cultivators were crushed to a pulp in a blink of an eye. Liquid Blood, pulp meat and powdered bones they became. The younger generation of the Floating Cloud Village... gone... just like that. No screams, no struggle in their deaths. Their deaths were peaceful, sudden and gruesome.
The Xiantian Profound Realm Cultivators were better off. Their Cultivation was oppressed, they couldn't move an inch, couldn't breath, but they were still alive for the moment.
“What? What just happened”? Lisa couldn't comprehend what happened.
“....” Blade's mind was just empty. He just stared into the blood and mangled body parts lying on the ground, still thinking that this was just some sick joke. That they would all just start talking again. That he was asleep and would wake up at any moment! He didn't want to accept reality...
Blake and Lisa were shell-shocked at first, their fellow companions blood and guts were on their bodies. Then reality hit them.
They wanted to vomit seeing the brutality. They wanted to cry and mourn at the loss of their friends but they were unable to move a muscle. Only tears of sadness flowed down their faces. Then fear. Fear overtook their bodies and mind. They couldn't breath. Their lungs wouldn't inflate due to the immense pressure on their bodies. Their bodies started to spasm, but the pressure around their bodies was so strong that their bodies just vibrated... The fear that their own lives were in danger filled them with dread. Their own fates were no longer in their own hands.
In their young lives, this was the first act of human brutality they had seen.
Desmond and General Calix were in the same state but their faces were calm, their eyes sharp. They knew how the Cultivator world functioned. They both had instantly figured out why the Lords had attacked them. There was only one treasure on them that Elementary Profound Realm Cultivators would covet. Desmond vowed, that if he lived, the traitor in his family would be killed!
"Even if I die, my ghost will curse you from the underworld! Desmond cursed in his mind.
The two King ranked Ferocious Beasts suffered the same fate the Houtian Profound Realm Cultivators. Their absolute loyalty towards Cesar was rewarded with death. They put their fates in Cesar's hands, and he let them down!
Lily and Mother Wolf were the most unaffected by the situation. Lily had released her Aura around himself and Mother Wolf, causing the Auras of the Lords to become useless. Her face and expression was still calm, but her eyes were filled with disdain for the situation. "Treasures make Cultivators blind with greed. She clicked her tongue.
She alleviated the pressure on the Cultivators still alive, allowing them to breath, but still not move. None the less, their faces and eyes showed their appreciation.
Four cold eyes looked at them from high in the air. The Lords looked down and said “Hand over the Space Meteorite.”
The Lords didn't want to kill anyone but their control over their Auras didn't reach an expert level. Naturally, if the person they had accidentally killed had the Space Meteorite in their Space Ring, then it would lost forever. But they made sure those over the Xiantian Profound Realm survived, since they would be most likely to carry the Space Meteorite.
“Do you know how many people depend on you two? Do you realize how stupid you are? You are risking your entire clans future on the off chance that we are not able to protect the Space Meteorite. As lords, as Protectors, you should be ashamed of your behavior!” Lily berated the Lords.

Being insulted by the beautiful young girl, the faces of the Lords became tomatoes. Even in their embarrassment, they noticed that Lily wasn't effected by their Auras. They gave secretive glances to each other and released Auras without reserve, and looked down at Lily with superior looks. They waited to see the young girls face writhing in pain but that didn't happened. She just looked back in contempt.
“Stupid. Have you two lost the will to live? I warned you. I warn you to think about the future and tell you to put the lives of your clans members, children and wives before yourselves and what do you do? You try another shot at me.” Lily said. The disdain on her face was slowly becoming anger.
Her reason for not immediately killing the Lords was simple. Their objective value, compared to Houtian Profound Realm Cultivators was thousands of times more. She didn't have a strong emotional connection to the Houtian Profound Realm Cultivators of the village that had just died. They were destined to die regardless. Without Lily and Cesar, 95% of those Houtian Profound Realm Cultivators would have died in The Boundary Of Death. The 5% that survived, would die if they joined The Exhibit. Not to mention, the Lords value to humanity was even greater. Also, the Lords hadn't attacked them, just used their Auras. One can only blame themselves for dying because they are weak. If the Lords had used their weapons and Energy, than Lily would have killed them without a single thought.
Lower Elementary Profound Realm Cultivators weren't her equal!
But that didn't mean they were going to get off Scot-free. When the weaker side angers the stronger side, and in this case the Lords were without a doubt the weaker side, and the stronger side doesn't want to kill the weaker side, than there were different levels of punishment that the stronger side could force unto the weaker side. A child that angers an adult would naturally get spanked!
Lily thought about the punishment. Crippling their Cultivation was too severe, killing them would be better. They might just kill themselves if their Cultivation base was ruined. Taking their Medium Quality Space Rings was an idea, especially since Cesar could access their Spacial Rings. But when she saw the Lords faces turn ugly and vicious with killing intent, her expression changed.
The Lords, for their entire lives were Gods to the people, but this young girl was holding them in contempt?! They became enraged.
Two powerful swords radiating the Aura of Elementary Profound Realm came out of their Spacial Rings. Their Yang energy came out in full force, causing ripples in the air!
Lily turned serious at the sight of their swords. "Elementary Profound Weapons!"
“Little girl! Don't become conceited! Give us the High Grade Space Meteorite or DIE!” A Lord said with anger in his voice. They no longer cared about her beauty or Cultivation. Calling her a little girl was more towards their age difference than how she physically looked. The Lords didn't believe that with two of them attacking at full power, that she would be able to defend! She didn't have a Space Ring, so she could be killed!
BOOM!
The Yin energy exploded out of Lily's Dantian at the same time the Lords released their Yang energy! Her teeth clamped down and a venomous look appeared of her face. She didn't seem the least bit frightened by the Energy released by the Lords. If words cannot solve a problem, than resort to violence!
She didn't know how the Lords knew it was a High Grade Space Meteorite but her patience was beyond limits with the two idiots.
The Lords focused on Lily with extreme amounts of mental concentration. They were too experienced to let their guard down, even against someone of the younger generation. While the Lords were paying full attention to Lily, Cesar made his move!
BZZZ! BZZZ!
Two Lightning Bolts coated with Yang energy instantly shot wards the Lords. They were with-in his Heavenly Mirror range, meaning the attack was near invincible!
At 1/3rd the speed of Light, the Lords and no chance to dodge. They didn't even see the attack coming towards them. Two holes appeared in their heads, and they became headless humans. They dropped to the ground like flies without their wings. They didn't put Cesar within their sights, and it was the death of them! No matter how strong, a single mistake could cause death!
Cesar grabbed the Spacial Rings as well as the colossal amounts of Energy in their Dantians. Seeing the massive amounts of Energy, Cesar knew it was enough to reach the Xiantian Profound Realm! He also swallowed some blood for decoding purposes, which went straight to his Blood Pill. Since Jasmine was always reading his mind, it happened automatically!
Lily turned the Lords bodies into two giant crystals which exploded into infinite fractal snowflakes, to hide the evidence of killing but not before taking each ounce of their blood along with the treasures on their bodies.
The two Elementary Realm swords, protective amulets that the Lords didn't have time to use, as well as their protective garments made of spider silk were taken!
Yet, they didn't stand still. Both Lily and Cesar moved, not wasting time. The Lords were training the young Xiantian Realm young masters!
Those young masters were looking in horror. They had no idea had just happened. Their Elders died, just like that? When they saw Lily and Cesar speeding their way, they lost all composure and feared for their lives. The Lords, who were their Elders, had always protected them. Their entire lives were filled with safety... And now they had to fend for themselves for the first time.
Cesar and Lily naturally didn't want there any witnesses who had seen their crime. The young masters could send Sound Transmissions to their Clans and Families which would result in huge amount of pain and headache for the couple. Since killing Elementary Profound Realm Cultivators was a sin against the city! Against humanity! The couple might as well make the entire Capital their enemy. So eliminating the witnesses was priority number one!
"Spare us! Please!"
"We will trade our lives for any price you demand! We are from powerful families! Have Mercy!"
"Mommyyyyy!"
A few Lightning Bolts and Ice Spikes were enough to take care of the Xantian Profound Realm Cultivators. Cesar had already killed human Cultivators inside his soul, so he was no longer hesitant about killing Cultivators in the real world. No matter what, killing or fleeing, either one had to be done with absolute determination and without the slightest hesitance.
"You all were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you want to blame anyone, blame your Elders who had forsaken you for their greed." Cesar said.
Lily hesitated when the young girl cried for her mothers help. That hesitation was short lived when Lily realized that their lives were at stake.
Thankfully, in their moment of fear and panic, the young masters ran for their lives and didn't use their Sound Transmissions to inform their factions.
Since they were young masters of powerful clans, they were quite wealthy and all had Medium Spacial Rings filled with treasures and money. Cesar also took the Energy in their Dantians. Seeing the amount of Energy, he noticed killing Cultivators was a better method of gathering Energy than Alchemy.
Lily gathered their blood and erased the evidence of their crime. The layer of ice, which would soon melt and evaporate, was all that was left.
"Let's head back." Cesar took her hand and led her back to the waiting party.
Desmond, Lisa, Blake and General Calix had frozen expressions of their faces. From their perspectives, Lily had released her Yin energy and the Lords had died in an instant. "Th..., Thank you." Lisa managed to squeeze out. She wanted to add 'Lily' but didn't think that she was qualified to mention her name anymore.
Desmond and General Calix both had Mental Barriers placed on their minds so they couldn't reveal any information about Lily or Cesar, but Lisa and Blake didn't. That was rectified.
Low quality Spacial Rings contained 1x1 meter of space. Medium-quality Spacial Rings contained 10x10 meters of spaces. High-quality Spacial Rings contained 100x100 meters of space. The number of High-quality Spacial Rings in the Capital couldn't be more than 12; all of them in the hands of The Floating Cloud Imperial Family. They were absolute treasures of the Kingdom. The High-quality Space Meteorite that Cesar had found was the size of a bowling ball. This meant that 50 to 70 High-quality Spacial Rings could be made from the Space Meteorite!
This complicated their plans. With the actual price of the Space Meteorite, even if the Imperial Family sold the entire Kingdom, they wouldn't be able to afford the High-quality Space Meteorite.
"The plan has to be changed. We can no longer go to the Capital without our lives being in great danger." Cesar said and everyone agreed.
But value was relative; subjective to say the least. Neither Lily or Cesar were going to be greedy with the Space Meteorite. Doing so would just be asking for death. They were in a difficult position because the other side, the Imperial Family had leaked information about them and the Space Meteorite. The entire Capital might as well be a snake den, and walking into the snake pit with treasure might just be asking to get bitten by thousands of poisonous snakes.
Desmond could not have known that sending information about how they looked, their approximate time of travel, the King Ranked Ferocious Beasts and other information would be used like this.
They could no longer go to the Capital for the trade. There were simply too many dangers. The Imperial castle should be riddled with Formations, and walking inside would seal off their fates, leaving their lives in the hands of strangers.
Their identity of being part of the younger generation was no longer an incentive for the couple, but a deterrent. With the price of the Space Meteorite, they would no longer gain 'face' for being young, inexperienced, weak and other associated ideas that come from being called the younger generation.
Even with the couple being associated with the word 'genius' wasn't enough. A genius is just a person with huge future potential. It just tells the enemy that they were currently weak. A Cultivator that has achieved their potential is associated with the words 'strong' and 'powerful'.
But the reality was that the Couple was strong, about to become stronger. They were in the position of power. Cesar could enter the Xiantian Profound Realm at any moment. Not to mention, with the Lightning Bomb, the Lightning Bolt with an unstable coil of Yang energy around it, was by itself enough to demolish the Capital. Cesar had killed thousands of normal Desolate Beasts inside his Soul using the Lightning Bomb. With entering the Xiantian Profound Realm, he would become even stronger. But mass genocide would be the last absolute option. Exerting his will however, wasn't outside his options.
"Desmond. Send the Sound Transmission to the your family stating that we will no longer be doing the trade inside the Capital. If they don't know, tell them that information about us and the Space Meteorite has been leaked." Lily said.
"Also, send more than one Sound Transmission, the recipient being more than one person." Cesar suggested. If there had only been one person that had received Desmond's Sound Transmissions, then it was likely that it was that person that had leaked the information. But it was unlikely. The entire Capital might already know about them and the Space Meteorite. This meant that the Boundary of Death had become even more dangerous, since entire Clans and Families might have sent their forces to intercept them.
His mind flashed back to the war inside his Soul. Two people cannot fight a war. If entire armies were sent to capture or kill them, than they had to prepare.
----------------------------------------------
Am I going too fast with Cesar's Cultivation and strength? Yes. But there is a reason. I will amp up the world around Cesar to challenge him. Like the story had mentioned before, they are cheat characters still in the tutorial. It's suppose to be easy for them. This is a universe of Cultivation and magic. Hell. Desolate Beasts haven't even been introduced. The Desolate Beasts inside Cesar's mind have been fabrications of Jasmine's hypothesizes. Lily's Cultivation is still a secret, but not for much longer.
I will also be rewriting my other novel. I realized that I haven't put in the same time and thought into it as I have with this novel. So, I will recreate it as Reincarnator (the Korean web novel) 2.0 with my own ideas and writing style. Same concept however. Most of my time has been spent thinking about it.
