Spiritual power test:
I was completely ecstatic when my testing was done, though I felt a bit sad that I did not have extraordinary talent in magic, as this continent of Asgard had a large number of strong mages even if the mages themselves were considered a rarity.
Mages who were truly strong were those who had extraordinary affinity for their element, they had such monstrous talent that they usually trained to ninth rank or might even reach the tenth rank to go beyond the limits of mortals.
It is not that I do not wish to become a immortal, but it was just that it is almost impossible for a normal person to become a immoral else there would be many immortals but in reality there were only a handful of them in the entire continent each possessing a power rivaling a entire kingdom.
Our dukedom of Reinfield is in the kingdom of Darci. Even if we are a powerful dukedom we only hold a small territory of the kingdom. If we saw the continent as whole, the territory that we hold will be like a pond compared to a mighty ocean.
The continent of Asgard is so huge that it is not even completely explored, there are five great empires ruling the continent each having territory ranging to several thousand kilometres, they are Britannia,Great Northern empire, Nygar empire, Great Alliance and Asgard empire.
Our kingdom of Darci was a member of Great alliance, this was a unique empire formed by the alliance of eight kingdoms. In the vast Asgard continent, only strong are venerated and worshipped.
Thinking of such things I went to the centre of formation which tests one’s spiritual power, it is just a single large mana stone held in position by a staff with a eighth ranked spell of light magic called soul pierce engraved into the crystal. This mana for this formation is supplied by mages of church.

The spiritual power is a entity in itself very important for a mage as this is the standard if the entered into next order or not. It measures if a mage has mental fortitude to cast spells. There is no particular method for its cultivation except meditation. It is thought that it is also predestined by birth. Usually all mages with high affinity had at least average spiritual power.
The eight ranked spell soul pierce is given mana by a mage of lower rank to reduce the intensity of the spell. These are usually mages of third rank, this soul pierce when applied, directly transmits to the consciousness of soul making one lose control over their body.
It is measured by the number of mages required for the success of spell, when one mage is enough for the success for spell, it represents poor capacity, when three mages are required it represents average spiritual power, when about ten mages are required this represents high spiritual power.
It is already very rare to find a person with no rank to with stand a spell charged with ten mages, the cases of extraordinary spiritual power were recorded in history only happened a few times.
After I went towards the magic formation a mage came and charged mana into the crystal, I felt a light itching sensation but that’s about it, so the mages started increasing in number until there were about eight mages, I only felt a heavy suffocating feeling but was still alright, when the number increased to ten I felt as if I was crushed by a heavy weight but was still conscious of my surroundings.
Head priest’s POV :
I came from my office to the testing hall as I was informed that the Duke’s family came for the testing, as local hegemon’s came for the testing it was only right that I had to preside over the testing, I did not expect much as the Elsevier family though famous for their warriors did not produce a decent mages in decades.

When the elemental affinity test was completed I was shocked that the third young master of family not only had dual affinity but also has high affinity in one of the element, so it was highly possible that he will become a mage of seventh rank in a few decades as it was very difficult for a person of high affinity to train for higher ranks, though possible it would take a long time.
Feeling shocked as well a little jealous I waited for the testing of spiritual power but was startled when he was still fine even after eight mages started inducing mana, I was on my feet looking dumbly with an open mouth at what is happening in front of my eyes as the mage count reached ten.
Soon I ordered more mages to start inducing mana since such a situation never arose we only had about eighteen mages of third rank at hand, sure we had higher order mages but if their mana is induced and soul can be damaged because of the increased intensity of the spell.
The mage count went up to eighteen but the person was still standing, not knowing what to do I announced that he had extraordinary spiritual power.
The mage count went up to eighteen but the person was still standing, not knowing what to do next, I announced that he had extraordinary spiritual power.
Inwardly I was sighing because I knew exactly what benefit this will give to that child and how his future is going to be, I have to inform the head quarter of this matter as soon as possible.
Riddick POV:
After the test I collapsed completely soaked in sweat, but was so excited that I did not even see my brothers approaching me, after I was lifted by the guards I was given a potion which restored my stamina a little.
My brothers very happy with my results and immediately decided to return to the castle to inform our father of my results.
I was walking towards the carriage when I noticed that I could feel the stares of people, their reactions and even those people’s thoughts as if they were spoken words, I could feel their awe, fear, jealously, and even anger towards me, I was baffled about what was happening. Why did my sensitivity to people’s thoughts and emotions became this clear? It is as if my sensitivity was multiplied after the test.
When I was observing peoples thoughts suddenly I felt a overwhelming presence behind me, it was so great that I thought I would die this very extent, slowly turning my head I saw nothing but the presence was still present, finaly resolving my self that whatever it was if it did not want me to see it then I would keep quiet. Slowly resolving myself I finally tried to ignore it but the next second a voice sounded in my brain.
“Boy, so you can sense me!”
I froze upon hearing this voice, it was a voice bearing the majesty of an being as if he is looking at a amusing insect.
