Kevin was walking back to the Spire after running the block. Cathrine had insisted that Jacob take a full hour to rest and relax on Earth before coming back. Jacob noticed a couple of security drones hovering within a couple hundred feet of him, Jacob quickly waved at the two he could see before continuing. "I said STOP!!" Jacob heard up ahead and the voice made Jacob roll his eyes. Miss princess was in trouble.

"Come on, I took you out and took care of you. Now it's my turn!!" The guy stated as he pushed Hayley up agianst a nearby pillar. Jacob rolled his eyes again as he moved forward and grabbed the guys hair yanking his head back before slamming a fist into the guy's kidney.

The suit guy went down like the sack of shit he was. Jacob grabbed the guys flailing arm and wrenched it behind him until Kevin was sure his arm was about to pop out of its socket. "STOP PLEASE!!" The guy screamed.

"Oh, so you do know what stop means. Well, you got what you wanted, now its time for me to get what I want, which is to pop your shoulder out of its socket and ripping all the connecting ligaments. I can do it becuase thats what I want, right?" Jacob asked softly in the guy's ears as he started to apply more pressure.

"NO!!!" the guy screamed and Jacob let off a little bit.

"So have we learned our lesson?" Kevin asked sweetly and the guy nodded his head spasticity in response. Kevin sneered at him before shoving him away.

The other man glared at Kevin, "I will sue you for this!!"

Kevin snorted in contempt, "You see those security drones, they have been monitoring me the whole night and have recorded this little incident. So feel free to admit that I stopped you from raping someone and hurt your shoulder in the process. Please be a bigger idiot." Jacob replied causing the suited man to pale and turn away.

"Everything all right Mr. Jones?" Jaime asked as he walked up with a couple of other security people.

"Jaime, please call me Kevin. Miss Jackson is the one that had an interesting end of the night, she is the one that needs assistance." Kevin replied as he headed toward the building entrance and completely ignoring her.

Fifteen minutes later, Kevin was freshly showered and eating a quick snack before heading back into the FIVR Pod when Juno notified him the Hayley was at the door. Kevin sighed as he finished putting on the body suite before heading to the front door and opening it but blocked it so she could not just get in. "What?" Kevin asked bluntly.

Hayley flinched, "I just wanted to say thank you for helping me and sorry for being a bitch to you the other day. I was wrong." Hayley quietly said without looking up.

Kevin studied her face and body language and nodded, "I am sorry for being a dick. You should spend time with family or friends. Someone you trust right now, you shouldn't be alone." Kevin responded.

Hayley gave him an indulging smile, "You have seen the way my father treats me. I remind him too much like my mom. As far as friends go...they are not deep or real like you or your friends." Hayley replied downcast.

"Juno, how much time do I have?" Kevin asked the V.I. as he continued to study the girl.

"Five minutes sir." June promptly responded.

"Get on the line with Bree, let her know I need her here ASAP. Let Jaime know to expect her. Hayley, you may come in. Bree will be over shortly. Ok?' Kevin asked her and she nodded woodenly as Kevin closed the door as she came in.

"So you understand my concerns?" Jacob asked Lady Mona Conrad who nodded in acknowledgment.

"Yes, I understand. I just don't understand why you don't warn her directly. If you are actually worried about Lady Winters, tell her. She deserves your warning." Lady Conrad responded.

"I don't know if she will believe me. I don't know who to look for up here, you do. I have some eyes on here watching out for her, but I also worry about her daughter, so I am asking you to keep an eye out for both of them while they are here. Eventually, we will take Cliphis, but until then she and her daughter are your guests. Please, will you do this." Jacob asked the older women.

"Yes, I will. You really do not plan on taking her as a lover?" Lady Conrad asked with interest.

Jacob chuckled softly, "No. I can understand why people find her attractive. However, I respect her too much and I need her as a Governor more then I need a lover. Plus I think she deserves to find happiness more than some occasional lover that is hardly ever there." Jacob replied honestly causing Lady Conrad to smile.

"You are one of the good ones Jacob. How the hell did you ever become a ruler, they are usually more jilted." Mona asked as she studied him.

"I have hope. I have not given up on this world and I am not trying to take everything for myself. I am trying to build something that will last. I also never wanted it. I am doing the best I can in a situation I never wanted." Jacob replied honestly causing Mona to gape in surprise before she schooled her reaction.

Suddenly she smiled, "Get out of here my Emperor before I piss your wife off by tying you to my bed and never letting you leave." Mona replied with a wink before walking off.

Alexi glared at the commanders, "I don't care about excuses or other operations. I want the army I requested assembled. See that it is done, NOW!!" Alexi roared out as he glared around him as they filed out of the control room.

"You are coming undone brother." a voice stated behind Alexi causing him to freeze and turn to face Grimlock.

"I have everything under control. I have the forces I need to crush the upstart and very soon he will be back under my thumb." Alexi stated causing the larger Chaos Lord to snort in derision as he removed his helm. Alexi studied the former Beast Kin, he had been an impressive specimen of the tiger verity before being recruited. Now Grimlock was even larger and more powerful after his Ascension.

"You were given a task, recruit the current leader of the Empire of Night. You managed to get him here, but you played your games. You empowered him and from what the Lady of Chaos says, he is on the brink of activating his Mantel of Divinity. If he does this, his conversion will be that much more difficult. So you are to stand down and move on. Someone else will get to him and turn him." Grimlock stated and Alexi glared at the other Chaos Lord.

"NO! He is mine to do with as I will. I will bring in Jacob Longstrider broken and turned to our task." Alexi replied quickly causing the other Chaos Lord to frown before darting forward and grabbing him by his throat.

"No boy, you will not. Whatever plans you put into motion, you will stop. The Lady has commanded this, if you have a problem with the plan, you are more then welcome to go before her and plead your case.' Grimlock stated as he threw the Vampire away. 'Now, I have my own problems to see too on Jingoon. If I have to come back here brother, I will be coming to drag you before the Lady, am I understood?" Grimlock asked staring down the Vampire who nodded.

"How is everything going?" Jacob asked as he entered the private box.

Cathrine turned and smiled at him as he entered, "Everything is going well husband. How was your trip north, has everything been updated to your satisfaction?" She asked.

"As best as can be expected. Have you enjoyed yourself, Cathrine?" Jacob asked her as he approached her. Gloria offered Jacob a goblet of wine while she bit her lip and made sure to brush her abundant chest against Jacob's arm. Before she could retreat Jacob grabbed her arm and whispered in her ear causing the other Vampire to blush and nod before moving away.

Cathrine smiled in amusement, "What did you tell her Jacob?"

Jacob blushed a little this time, "I told her if she continued to flirt with me in front of everyone here, I would bend her over and see exactly how she would like being used like a wanton slut in front of thirty thousand people...I did not expect her to actually like the idea." Jacob replied causing Cathrine to laugh.

"That is because your new Seneschal is a bit of an exhibitionist. Yes, husband, I understand you are not." Cathrine stated before Jacob could reply.

"Now that would be an interesting showing I wouldn't mind seeing, and maybe even participating if a Vampires stamina is no lie." Lady Nisa Stovrelzide put in.

Governor Saltrake cleared his throat while his wife laughed softly, "Well as interesting as that is. Some of us are here for the show."

Jacob blushed but saluted Nisa with his cup, signifying she had won the round. "It seems our guest does know how to play with her whits, not just her knives." Jacob quipped to Cathrine.

"Indeed, I wonder how talented her tongue is? Have you had a chance to find out yet?" Cathrine asked innocently, causing Jacob to roll his eyes while Gloria coughed.

"No, I have not. I am sure you know that. I have no idea how talented Gloria's tongue is either. Now how is Glagor settling into his new home? Has he written." Jacob asked and Cathrine frowned at him before nodding.

"He is settling into his new home and chair quite fine. His extended family absolutely adores the new home despite it needing extensive work. The friends you left have made sure that no unwelcome guests have entered the home and he is grateful for the assistance. He says that two or three members of his extended family will arrive there within the next couple weeks." Cathrine said causing Jacob to frown.

"I see, and do these family members understand the arrangement we have made?" Jacob asked as the prospect of two or three new Dwarven clans moving into the Obsidion Kingdom daunting with it being so close to the Valley of Origins.

"They are very aware and have been told if they do not respect the rules, they will be quiet forcibly kicked out," Cathrine replied and Jacob nodded his head.

"Now, who is the next Governor that will be coming to visit?" Cathrine asked and Jacob smiled.

"Governor Hightower has been invited, I have no idea if he will come. It was an offer and not a request.' Jacob replied as he considered other things. 'Why are you trying to get me to bed other women?" Jacob asked her softly.

Cathrine fidgeted and Jacob could tell she was feeling...anxious and nervous. "I wish to talk about this...when we go home, but we will talk about it." She responded awkwardly. Jacob just squeezed her hand and kissed her cheek trying to comfort her.

Palace of Night- Master Suite

"Everyone out!!" Jacob stated as they finally made it back to their rooms for the day.

The few servants and guards quickly left. Gloria hesitated and looked to Cathrine. Jacob glared at her as he moved in between the two. "Get out, I won't say it again.' Jacob softly told the new Seneschal. Gloria nodded and bowed before turning to go. 'Gloria, don't ever second guess a command I give. Especially not in my own rooms, is that understood?" Jacob asked her.

"Yes, my apologies Emperor." Gloria bowed one more time and left through the door.

"She was just concerned for me," Cathrine told Jacob, causing him to look at her.

"Am I a threat to you dear wife?" Jacob quietly asked her

Cathrine gave him a smirk, "Never, she is concerned on how you will take what I will say."

Jacob gestured for her to go on, "I am concerned that your eyes will wander as the pregnancy progresses. I will not be able to have sex as often and I will be more...prone to anger and disagreeable. I think it best for us to have someone in our lives that can assist both of us as time passes." Cathrine explained.

Jacob frowned as he started the bath, "Whatever you decide I will support. I want you to know though that you are more then enough woman for me and if it's destined to be just you and me, I will be very happy. I want you to know that. However, if you need another body to be a buffer between us when you feel catish, ok. They better understand that if I tell them to leave or not interfere between us, they better not or they will be learning to fly out of a nearby window." Jacob told her causing Cathrine to smile and gently kiss him.

"No one will ever come between us, I promise that. At least if they want to live.' Cathrine said as she started stripping out of her dress causing Jacob to smile as his eyes roamed all over her body. 'Hurry up!! I need company in the bath to make sure I don't drown in all the bubbles." Cathrine joked as she quickly made her way into the bath.
