Darguun Hold

Jacob watched as various beings of Clan Darguun walked around Darguun Hold, Jacob was constrained to the ring until morning. The rule was anyone who wanted to challenge Jacob's right to marry Sosa could challenge him for the right. Only one Orc had stepped into the ring, and his cooling corpse still lay there after he snapped his neck.

It was a tradition for members of the clan to stand in wait for anyone to stand to wait for any challengers until morning. Most of Alog Tor'akon's Chiefs had seemed disinterested in the marriage or Jacob's status. None of them had any idea that he was now King of the Empire of Night. Considering how weak his little Empire was at the moment, it would be unlikely his change of status would not impress them.

As he waited, Jacob reviewed his expanded Skill tree that had expanded after he hit level 35 after acquiring the 4 more pieces of the Blood Lords armor set.

Common Warrior Skill Tree

Description: Anyone can swing something with a sharp edge, with this Skill you gain instinctive Intermediate Knowledge on how to use a blade (Increases Damage of 1-Handed Swords by 5%, Passive)

Description: Decreases the weight of all items in your inventory by 3% (Passive)

Tier 2 Name: Steel Skin (Rank 1 Available for Purchase)

Description: Increase Armor Rating by 3% (Passive)

Description: Increase Attack Speed and Damage by 5% for 1 minute (Instant, Cost 100 Stamina, 5 Minute Cooldown)

Blood Knight Skill Tree

Description: A Blood Knight is a master of Blood and at a cost of 25% of your life, you can command the enemies blood around you to burst major arteries (Deal 300 Damage) and cause bleeding (20 DPS for 15 Seconds) throughout an enemies body. (AoE up to 10 feet, Cost 25% of Health, Cooldown 5 Minutes, Upgrading will decrease cost and increase damage)

Name: Blood Rain (Rank 1 Purchased, Next rank Unlocked at level 35)

Description: The Blood Knight can absorb the life of failed enemies to fuel his health. (5% of defeated living enemies health is absorbed by the Blood Knight, Passive)

Name: Blood of the Originals (Rank 1 Purchased, Next rank Unlocked at level 35)

Description: You can trace your lineage back to the very first Vampires and other Vampires will treat you as such. (Doubles the Social Gains while dealing with other Vampires and Halves losses, Passive)

Tier 2 Name: Strength of the Elders (Rank 1 Available for Purchase)

Description: Increases your innate strength and speed (Passive)

Description: Compel weak-minded foes to do your bidding (Cost 300 Stamina, 1 Hour Cooldown)

Defender Skill Tree

Description: This ability negates some of the weight of Heavy armor so the wearer may move faster during battle. (Decreases armor weight by 25%, Passive)

Name: Strength of the Brotherhood (Rank 1 Available for Purchase)

Description: When fighting with other Defenders, your strength of Arms and Armor will always be more than any foe. (Increases Damage and Armor Rating by 5% when fighting with other Defenders, Passive)

Name: Renowned Legion (Rank 1 Available for Purchase)

Description: All Defenders are known for Honesty, Honor, and Integrity. Uphold these standards and you will always benefit from the Legions Reputation. (Increase Social Gains and Decreases Social Losses by 10%, Passive)

Tier 2 Name: War Bound (Rank 1 Available for Purchase)

Description: A Defender is at home in the heart of battle and will gain more experience (+5%) from encounters (Requires 500 Opponents, Passive)

Name: Iron Will (Rank 1 Available for Purchase)

Description: Attacks, Abilities, and Skills that would leave the Defender Stunned or incapacitated are ignored (Duration 10 Seconds, Cost 100 Stamina, 5 Minute Cooldown)

Name: Battle Master (Rank 1 Available for Purchase)

Description: The Defender is invigorated by battle, resource regeneration is increased by 10% during combat(Passive) Jacob immediately purchased the second rank for Shield Bash and Hemorrhage, then looked at all the new skills that were available. He immediately purchased Battle Stomp, Strength of the Elders, Battle Master, and Iron Will. Any interrupts and anything that could make him immune from the same effects were invaluable for tanks. The next Tier of the Skill Trees would not be unlocked until level 50, so Jacob had plenty of time to consider his choices because he still had 6 Skill Points left after his purchases.

The laughter of several Orc's nearby pulled him from his thoughts, they centered from an Orc that was looking at Jacob with amusement. Jacob merely looked back at the Orc and smirked while gesturing at the empty ring. One of the Orc's companions stepped forward but was then restrained by others of his party. "The whore is not worth it. Let him marry the little twig, I doubt any spawn from their union would survive." The lead Orc stated before turning away.

"Big talk for a coward that won't enter the ring," Jacob replied and bringing the group to a dead stop.

The lead Orc sneered at Jacob, "Why would I challenge you for something I do not want?"

"It wouldn't be a challenge, your clanmate died easy enough. I am sure you would die just as easily." Jacob retorted while staring at the Orc in challenge.

The Orc looked at his dead clanmate, "He wasn't a Warrior, I am. If I entered the ring, I wouldn't die as easily."

"So, not only are you a coward, you have no honor. I will make sure to never call upon you to fight with." Jacob said before turning away and bringing his skill trees back up. A roar of a challenge brought Jacob's attention from the skill trees and back toward the 5 Orc's. One of the Shaman's nearby that were bearing witness to all Challenges, nodded at the group.

The Orc that had reacted to Jacob's taunting, started running toward Jacob with his arms outstretched to grabble with Jacob. Jacob smiled and darted forward to intercept the Orc and kicked out causing the Orcs knee to dislocate and cause the Orc to stumble and fall. Jacob immediately jumped onto the prone Orc and wrapped his arms around the disabled Orc and wrenched his head to the side before the Orc could do anything else. The snapping of bones brought a silence to the nearby Orcs, "Next!" Jacob called out as he turned at faced the boisterous group.

"That was my Spear Brother!!" The lead Orc responded as his eyes started to glow in rage.

"Now, he is your dead Spear Brother. Are you going to keep talking or do something about it?" Jacob asked the Berserker and bringing a roar of rage from the lead Orc and smirks from the other three. The Berserker didn't even wait for the Shamans approval, he just rushed forward at full speed.

Jacob waited until the last second before dropping down and punching forward with his full speed and strength. The scream of rage and pain as Jacob crushed the Orc's testicles brought a dark laugh from Jacob. As the Orc dropped to his knees Jacob gripped the Orc's throat and let his talons grow as he ripped the offending Orc's throat out. The Orc's former companions quickly walked away.

"That was a little brutal brother?" Dolbrug asked from next to the Shamans.

"He called your sister a whore, he is lucky all I did was crush his nuts before I killed him," Jacob told his future brother who turned his gaze toward the retreating Orcs.

"Crude, but it's not the worst insult I have heard my sister called," Dolbrug responded.

Jacob snorted, "I don't let idiots insult my friends or family. We might not be married yet, but we will be soon. So I might as well start educating your clanmates on etiquette. If I hear your clanmates insult her like that, I will respond."

Dolbrug snorted, "That is admirable, but your opinion will not change hundreds of years of discrimination and hate. Orcs in general, do not like High-Elves even if they are mixed with Hobgoblins."

"Guess a lot of your clanmates are going to have broken bones then whenever I visit," Jacob responded before turning away and kneeling down waiting for the next challenger or for the morning.

Darguun Hold

Jacob woke as Snaggletooth prodded him awake. "Time to get up, I know you had a long night but lunch is prepared and you must be ready for your wedding within an hour. I would recommend you wear your armor over anything else." Jacob nodded as he wiped the sleep from his eyes.

Jacob wished for coffee or an energy drink, but this world offered neither so he settled for water with fresh fruits in it. Alog suddenly walked into his room causing Jacob eyeball the High-Chief. "How are you feeling?"

The older Hobgoblin smiled, "Yes they have and they are behaving themselves. I am guessing you are not a morning person?" Jacob growled at the High-Chief's question and caused him to laugh again. "Well finish eating your food then get dressed. As soon as you are ready we can get the ceremony started." Jacob nodded before taking a bite of the steak, only half the day was done.
