Swordmaster and General Nadal Despval walked through the camp checking on the 100 different things he had to do to make sure the 2,000 slave soldiers and the 300 others were ready to leave. The Council was already pressing him to march, but they only had enough supplies for 1 week and it was 2 weeks to get to Fortress Ill'Gargon. The Council of Damnation had ordered them to destroy Darkfang Hold then find out what had happened at the Fortress of Damnation and destroy those responsible.

"Master General Despval, the Lady Do'und is waiting at your tent. She said it was an emergency." a messenger reported after he saluted. Nadal cursed as he strode away to his tent and to hear the latest demand of why he was still there. The guards on either side of the entrance of his tent immediately stepped aside as he approached, they knew not to mess with him when he was pissed. Having to deal with the local nobility always left him pissed. Sitting waiting for him was Lady Ilmdra Do'und sat in front of his writing desk. She was the Reagent of Fortress of Baereghel, the current fortress he was trying to marshal enough supplies to support the army he commanded.

"Lady Do'und, what is the reason for this visit?" Despval asked the Reagent.

"Fortress Ill'Gargon has fallen, the Council wants you to march no later than tomorrow. No more delays." Lady Do'und said as soon as Nadal sat down.

"How and who?" General Despval asked.

"Who is unknown, but they somehow blew 3 holes in the outer wall and the army that was stationed in that area was destroyed piecemeal when all the outposts fell. What remained of the army was slaughtered when Ill'Gargon fell. They took all the slave stock and the army that captured the fortress has already departed. They left only a small garrison of a couple hundred." Lady Do'und told him.

"We have only enough food for a week if we give out half rations we can make it stretch. The army might make it to Ill'Gargon, but it will be weakened from lack of food. We can probably reach Ill'Gargon in 14 days if I press the army hard, but we will have to leave the siege engines behind." General Despval responded.

Lady Do'und drummed her fingers on the travel desk, "Do what you need to do General. Right now the Council's priority is for you to recapture Ill'Gargon, then follow the rest of your orders. I will leave you to your preparations General, good luck." It was going to be a long night to get everything to do so they could march tomorrow.

Fortress of Midnight

Jacob dug the shovel into the ground, he and 20 other men and women were digging out a foundation for the new primitive keep. Jigibs was overseeing two work crews that were working on the primitive keep. With the two teams, the keep would be finished in 4 days. 1 of the outer walls of the keep was almost done already and the foundation of the keep was half done, Jigibs was apprentice was leading the work crews at upgrading the Cabins to Homes. The new recruits were working hard drilling with shields, swords, and formations. The last battle had exposed that weakness in his men, they had not drilled enough with formation movements and the Sister forces had almost caused heavier casualties then they had received.

Cathrine was off to check in with her family and to see if she could dig up any information about the Sisters, she hoped to be back within 24 hours. She was worried about their response to losing a fortress but they knew an army was coming, just not when. Jacob had already dispatched a messenger to Ineford that he would be calling on them for military aid, sooner rather than later. No word had come from Clan Darguun though.

Alert...

The Bone Barracks has received 20,000 units, the Bone Barracks now has 23,560 units.

Alert...

Jacob smiled at the alert, with those bones processed Jacob could queue up more Undead so they could better defend the Fortress of the New Dawn. Jigibs bellowed out it was break time and the work crews started making their way to their homes to eat and sit for a little bit while Jacob made his way to the Engineer. "Master Jigibs, we are making good time. I was wondering after we build this would we be able to build a Portal Pad?" Jacob asked the Goblin.

The Goblin whistled at the question, "If you can acquire the necessary materials, yeah. We do not have the blueprints though."

"I have the plans queued for research, and we will have them after the Bathhouse. Can you at least tell me what materials and amounts you would need?" Jacob asked the Goblin who immediately shook his head.

"I can guess mylord, but I would rather not," Jigibs said as he moved away. Jacob considered the Goblins words as he moved toward the hall and his thoughts for future construction.

The Council of the Fallen usually convened once a month at most for updates and for planning sessions, today was an emergency meeting, "Hyperions Avatar was destroyed, it will be a month at least before he can manifest himself on the mortal plane. We must respond, we cannot let this slight against the 12 stand without a response. What options do we have?"

"You forget that they also acquired Hyperions information on the Cult of the True. All of our assets in the Tomb of Eternal Night may be compromised. We either have to use our assets there, or they will be lost for no reason." Another figure responded.

"So we use the assets before they are compromised. Have the primary targets killed, I am sure our assets in the palace can accomplish that before they die." The leader of the 12 said and the others agreed, "See what our assets need and make sure they get whatever they require to complete their mission." The Council of the Fallen rumbled in agreement as they planned what to do.

General Nadal Despval watched as the long line of troops as they departed, it was not the largest army he had ever commanded, but its mission might be more important than any other he had ever led. The priests were worried though, Lolth had not blessed their campaign and apparently, she had been strangely reluctant about this new enemy. The scouts had already departed and were already over an hour ahead of the main army if the army was to encounter any trouble, Nadal hoped they would trip it.
