FATE ONLINE-DAY 1 AFTER CONVERSION
Jacob knew one thing, next time he saw Marc he was going to pop him in the jaw. Fucking Level 1, without any warning. Too late now though, it was water under the bridge nothing he could do about it. Jacob looked around, he was laying down in a bed in a room. He was in the basic starter pants, shirt, and boots were on the floor waiting for him to claim. He remembered what it felt like being a half-breed of Elf/Human, being a Vampire was definitely different. When he was the half-breed the power he felt was like a river, being a vampire felt like he was almost explosive. Enough, time to get to work. Everything was different, everything was more amplified with the FIVR he also know had all 5 senses instead of just 2. Enough, time to walk around and get used to the new body. He also had several alerts waiting for him.

That was a lot of information, hot damn no wonder guilds would break bones for this sort of thing. 8 Characteristic points per level, 2 secret Achievements, unlocking a playable race, and a Legendary Class. An established guild probably would have made it mandatory for their members to change to the Vampire race. He remembered doing some research on when the Drow had been Unlocked about 2 years ago. The player that had found it had been 'recruited' quickly after unlocking them and now the guild he was a part of #3 (Grim Reapers) in the top 10. Before he could leave Isiah opened the door and entered. "Finally, we were wondering if your body would accept the change or not. Glad to see that you are alive, now that you are up and about you will need to Feed and Eat ASAP. After that, I will take you to the Queen, where she will brief you on the current state of our Kingdom and any requests she might have of you."

Jacob just nodded his head, he would have to follow their lead for now until he figured out his new bodies needs. Isiah quickly left to get food for Jacob, since Jacob had to wait for food which he was feeling the need more and more of, he started walking around and inspecting everything. He found a chest with all his equipment that he had been wearing before he had been changed, none of it matter because he couldn't use any of it because he was a lvl 1.
Suddenly his stomach felt like he had swallowed acid, two Debuffs popped up
Ravenous: Due to your transformation you need a massive infusion of food to complete it and to compensate for the changes happening in your body. Until you eat, you will lose 1% of your health every minute
Bone-Dry: Due to Unique body chemistry, you require blood to sustain yourself. You will require at least 1 cup of blood per week, this will increase based on how much you exert yourself. Due to having not consumed any blood yet, you will lose 5% of your health per minute until you consume blood
Damn, he was hungry, and he was getting pissed because he was getting so hungry. Fuck Isiah better hurry up otherwise I am going to rip his fucking head off...WTF that wasn't him. Breathe in and out, slow and steady, it's all about control. The door flew open and Isiah rushed over and shoved a goblet at him "Drink now!!"
Isiah didn't have to tell him twice, and less then a second later the goblet was empty, "More!!!" Jacob growled. Isiah dashed out and brought a whole pitcher this time and started pouring it into a new glass, but Jacob just yanked it out of his hands and chugged it from the pitcher. After that was dry, he did he feel better and the Bone-Dry debuff disappeared. "Food please."
Isiah looked at him closely before nodding and yelling "Ok he is in control bring the food in please, have a seat, Jacob." Jacob saw two trays being brought in with both piled high with bread, meats, cheese, and fruit. Drinks included water, wine, and more blood.
Jacob immediately started shoveling food into his mouth, he didn't care who else was there he just needed to eat. Before he knew it, both trays were clear of anything that was edible. All three vampires were staring at him with almost goofy expressions on their face. "What?" Jacob asked.
"Nothing, it's just good to see the first feeding again. You are the first Youngling we have seen in 2000 years, even something as mundane as this is heartening for us." Isiah responded.
"I couldn't agree more!!" Talia said. Both Isiah and Jacob whipped around to look at the doorway where the young Queen stood. "Nothing is more important then our family and a lot of our people want to see the newest member of our people, but right now you need to gain some strength before you are introduced to...some of the darker parts of our society."
Jacob had a brilliant response "Huh?"
Isiah had a response ready "Politics, court politics to be specific, between all the dam families. Sorry."
Jacob was brilliant again "Huh?"
Talia giggled at Jacobs' response before responding "Well due to you being elevated to a Full-Blood, you will automatically become part of the Court, and the inherent politics involved. You don't need to worry about that right now. Thank you again for accepting our offer to join our people and helping us, please accept these items as a small thanks and compensation for giving up your Mortality."

QUEST COMPLETE: TO RISE AND FALL (STAGE 1)
Description: You saw the plight of the Vampire race and would not stand by and do nothing. You agreed to be changed. Not only did you change, with a little help from Queen Talia you elevated yourself to a Full-Blood. You are taking a larger role within the Vampire society and with accepting the class of Blood Knight, the military as well. Tread carefully, with a few words you could make an enemy that can last a hundred years.
Quest Difficulty: You are still fucked, you just got done with the easiest part
Rewards: Race Change, Legendary Class, 1 Scalable Artifact, UNKNOWN
Talia waved a man forward, he had a sword in a scabbard, "This blade comes from my family vault, it is nearly as old as our people. The last time it was wielded was in the War of Survival, it has gone up against Champions and helped its wielder survive against some of the deadliest beings that walk on this planet. It was left behind by our last King before he left us to face the Gods. Honor this blade and it will never fail you. The scabbard is Dragon Hide. Now, this next item is a ring that will prevent anyone from the surface from figuring out that you are a Vampire or from anyone from scrying your position. Finally, this ring will prevent the full force of the Curse from consuming you. It should negate about half curses power and prevent normal sunlight from damaging you." Jacob started with using Identify on the two rings before checking out the sword.
Name: Ring of Nothing and Nowhere
Level: Legendary
Properties: Prevents EVERYONE from Scrying your location, it does not prevent someone from seeing you with their eyes though.
Properties: If anyone Analyzes you, they will see you as Human race
Description: This ring was made for an elite thief, that was wanted Dead or Alive in 12 Kingdoms and half the Gods had sent Champions after him. This Ring is the only reason he died of old age instead of in a dungeon or on the chopping block.
Name: Ring of Undying
Level: Legendary
Properties: Provides limited protection from the Curse (50%)
Description: This ring was created from the Vampires unending refusal to bend a knee to the Gods. These Rings have been forged when the Time will come for when the Vampires will walk on the surface in spite of the Gods will.
Name: Moonlight
Level: Artifact, Scalable, lvl1
Damage: 4 - 7
Properties: Item absorbs 10% of the experience the wielder accrues to grow in strength with the user
Properties: 10% of damage dealt is absorbed as health by the wielder
Other properties will be unlocked as the Artifact gains strength
Durability: 1000/1000
Description: Moonlight was forged over 3000 years ago, a gift forged with the blood of every noble line to the first King of the Vampire nation. It has been passed down the Royal bloodline until the defeat of the Vampires at the end of the War of Survival. Due to not being wielded for nearly 2000 years, the majority of the strength of the blade has been lost. Most of the properties have been lost also, who knows what else is hidden that can be unlocked in time
Jacob pulled a little of the blade out of the scabbard to inspect it, he winced. Moonlight was pitted and rusted from disuse. Talia winced, "Yes I know it looks bad, but give it time to gain some of its former strength. It will not disappoint you I promise you that. Now we will also equip you with some regular equipment that you can use at this time. We can not have you dying yet. Now as you know we are few in numbers, but with your help, we can start changing that. Everyone except Isiah please leave." Isiah herded the servants and extra guards out. Once they were all out, the Queen flicked her hand and cast a minor spell on the door to make sure no one could listen in. "Now as far as our city stands, we a little over 2000 inhabitants at present. This city was built to house and support nearly 50000. To say the city is deserted is a severe understatement, we barely have enough people to keep basic services running for everyone. We have had to close most portions of the city, the economy is a joke, and our military isn't much better. If we were attacked by anyone even a minor power, our people would become extinct. What we need from you is for you to start creating more of our kind. Because you are a new bloodline the Curse cannot hold you here. Whoever you choose to turn, make sure you trust them."
QUEST UPDATED: TO RISE AND FALL (STAGE 2)
Description: Help the City regain its former glory by creating and bringing 10 new Vampires too the Tomb of Eternal Night and completing at least 3 quests within the Tomb of Eternal Night.
Progress: 0/10 Turned
Quests Completed: 0/3
REWARDS: 500 Gold, 1 Item from the Royal Vault, experience, To Rise and Fall (Stage 3)
"Now I have to get back to court before I am missed by all my friends there...the Captain here will give you some tasks to do to help you gain strength." Talia stood and departed. Once the Queen was gone, Isiah walked over and sat down and started talking to Jacob again. "We have several tasks that are available, some are mundane but all are critical and here is a token to pick up some basic armor and a shield if you want"
Quest: Messenger Run

Isiah listed four available quests. Jacob accepted them all. He needed to start leveling and he needed to get as strong as possible so he could start recruiting and start working toward breaking the Curse. Jacob was turning to leave when Isiah grabbed his shoulder and stopped him, "I have one more Quest for you, but you are not strong enough for it yet and you will need help finishing it. It relates to an old Ally of our people. At least he was once an Ally of our people, but once the Curse was laid upon us...things changed. Do what needs to be done, whatever that might be we will respect your opinion."

Dream Dungeon
Welcome to the dream dungeon. Ely suddenly finds himself in a mysterious dungeon accessed only through sleeping. Many people are drawn into this dream world, confused and mystified. Those in this dungeon must kill monsters to survive; maybe even each other. Join Ely as he struggles to survive a ruthless environment. What replaces his rest is untold trauma. What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
