Today I was up early. Yesterday's party had been wild and most of the “staff” were still sleeping off their hangovers somewhere. Luckily PigFace was perfectly fine and operational for my daily breakfast which I engulfed like a black hole.

I needed to begin preparations for my upcoming trip to the elven land and before doing so there were some things that needed to be completed. The poison of our little flying squirrels had finally reached rank S and the antidote was currently being produced in reasonable quantities.

As I was handling the dangerous venom some fell on my hand once again. This wasn't a rare occurrence and was the reason why I forbade the others from doing this work. I had a rank S detox spell so it wasn't too big of a deal for me.

Ho? Does that mean there are no rank SS poisons ? Thinking about it, chances are the only rank SS poisons had to be magic based just like my [Death Stare] skill so it wasn't too surprising to receive immunity at rank S.

That was a great start to the day. Next I decided to go get the items at the bottom of the lake after all. Who knows, maybe there was something great. I walked down to the lake and took my dranix form before slowly walking into the water in a cloud of vapour.

The more I walked, the deeper it got and I was not totally under-water in an steam bubble caused by my extreme heat. The water couldn't reach me but the deeper I got, the smaller the bubble around me became. It was due to the water pressure fighting against me.

When I reached around where I had seen the monster sink, there was no longer any sunlight reaching me. The only light was from my fiery body shedding light through the darkness. The bottom of the lake was mostly sand and small rocks, nothing impressive.

After looking around for a few minutes I finally found a big pile of meat. I grabbed everything and placed it in my inventory. Under the meat were a few useless items but among them was a pair of silver earrings.

Uhh... Not bad I guess. These various limitation are preventing me from being overjoyed but it's not bad at all actually. Monsters lower than me should see me as hostile or simply be coerced from attacking me is what I think this earring does.

What this message also says is that if I am highly outnumbered, level won't matter to them anymore eh. I immediately equipped it and began to make my way back out the lake. I still had various things to do and still needed to tell Mendy and Nargaroth they would be coming with me.

As I was walking back something strange suddenly happened. I felt some weird shift backward and felt as if my body shrank in a split second. What the hell is going on? The water then suddenly rushed toward me and engulfed me in its darkness.

Urggg*. Wait.. I can breath? Ho yea amphibious passive skill. I can stay a long time underwater and also go to the surface but what was going on. I looked to see if my ring had activated, but it hadn't. Getting worried I quickly opened my status window, trying to understand what was happening to my body.

I was boiling with rage when I finally arrived at the character customization interface. I looked around for my sister and saw her cowering in an nonexistent corner, hidden behind a nonexistent chair. She clearly had something she was scared to tell me.

“LUCY!!!!!!!! ARRRRRRRRrrrrrrrr* WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!!! A TADPOLE? WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!” (Kneeko) I yelled with my face the same colour as the Ferrari I used to own back in the days.

“H-hi ni-.... ni-chan...” (Lucy)

“ANSWER ME! Da fuq is going on?” (Kneeko) I said still boiling, steam coming out of my ears.

“Uhhm... Well first, don't panic okay? It's not as bad as it looks...” (Lucy)

“Not as b-... You are fucking kidding me right? RIGHT? YOU ARE PLAYING A FUCKING JOKE ON ME RIGHT?” (Kneeko)

“Kyaaa! Don't be mad alright!! The GM detected an error code and I failed to delete it before they got their hands on it. But it's ok alright, I can fix this ok?!” (Lucy)

Knowing I wouldn't accomplish anything by yelling I calmed down and sat on the floor. I kept staring daggers at my sister involuntarily which definitely made her feel uncomfortable.

“Explain... EVERY FUCKING THING!” (Kneeko)

“Hhuuuuu alright. Back then when you were about to die, I... kinda... messed with the code a little... I unlocked an evolution you shouldn't have had access to due to missing a few DNA fragments. But if I hadn't you would have died and lost your new “family” for good.

So I hacked into the system to give you a rank up allowing you access to resurrection abilities. The problem with that is that the system automatically sent an error code to the GM that I failed to intercept. Sorry ni-chan...

Then seeing that you had ranked up abnormally, the GM decided to reset your EXP-DNA completely. Still, you are lucky since they would have normally deleted you completely.” (Lucy)

Your data is contained in over 15 satellite servers connected through a backdoor to the Alterlife system. So each time you are deleted, you will be automatically re-uploaded into the system.

Obviously all this is done in an anonymously coded way so that if you are being re-uploaded, there is no way for them to tell that it is you and not another random NPC. And then again, if they find a way to prevent you from being re-uploaded, you will still be living in Alterlife2 but on a private satellite server.” (Lucy)

“Which means?” (Kneeko)

“Ummm a parallel world similar to this one. There would be your dragonesses there as well and everything you know about this world with one major exception.” (Lucy)

“Which is...?” (Kneeko)

“No more connection to the outside. Which mean no more internet, no more players. Your own private world where you would gain your powers as observer. Just like me... By the way, I am not all powerful in here, I am highly restricted.

Father presented me as a highly advanced AI to run the system from the background but my real purpose is to protect and guide you. In a private server, we would basically be like gods... “Hiiiiiii okok! It's a chimera egg... The creature that will hatch from it contains all the EXP-DNA you had gathered up till the phoenix rank up. I gathered it all here and made a chimera with it. That way if you kill the creature once it hatches, you will regain all your EXP-DNA up to the basilisk form.

You will be able to use chimera forge to reactivate them all and quickly regain what you lost. Excepted the phoenix ability of course.. But for that problem I have another solution which still won't break the game rules.” (Lucy)

She then handed me a piece of paper with some kind of grocery shopping list written on it.

“And what's this?” (Kneeko)

“Remember I told you the chances of ranking up past level 200 were highly limited?” (Lucy)

“Yea..?” (Kneeko)

“Well this is a list of all the DNA you will need to rank up into something I know you profoundly desire.” (Lucy)

“Ho well, the chances of you being deleted are extremely slim now. As long as you don't attract too much attention on yourself, you can do whatever you want without alerting the system administrators. Hihihi such a weird NPC you are now hihihi*” (Lucy)

“You mean I could destroy entire kingdoms and as long as no one sees or identifies me they have no way of knowing I was responsible ?!” (Kneeko)

“Exactly! They couldn't even tell you were there. They can use the system to get a list of all the entities present at a certain place at a certain time but you would never appear in that list. Like I said, you are a ghost!...” (Lucy)

Huhuhu well it's getting weird and interesting at the same time isn't?! I placed the egg and shopping list in my inventory and exited the Chimera forge interface. I still felt like crap for being back to being a tadpole but if this was to be what I am, I would be the best at it.

I will create utter chaos in this world until this game goes to shit. That's what they get for messing with me! I will rain fire upon the entire world! Looks like I need to become a demon emperor once again. Dragon God, Demon Emperor! Is that even possible? Mehh I'll find a way.

But for now, I was a tadpole... But I don't care anymore, this is only temporary. While I'm a tadpole I might as well do it right. I will be the strongest, meanest... The dragon devouring tadpole! I will become THE MIGHTIEST TADPOLE!
