Congratulations!
You are now a level 1 Astral Wanderer! You have 20 free stat points to distribute and gained 20 spirit. Please distribute your stats before exiting the tower.
System information
There is some information that is restricted by the system that pertains to evolved species. Please take note, as you will be unable to discuss it in the presence of anyone who has not evolved.
The higher the tier of evolution, the more levels you can obtain before reaching the cap. As a tier 4 evolution, your level cap is 100
As a tier 4 species, you are unable to further evolve. Lesser tier evolutions are able to evolve again, but will start from their previous evolution’s level cap and will not gain extra stat points.
All tier 2 and above evolutions obtain extra skill points and bonuses. In order to maintain balance, there are a few changes. You will no longer gain bonuses from classes or professions, though any bonuses already earned will stay with you. You are also not limited by classes or professions, and may learn any skill you have an aptitude for.
Stats from professions and classes that you had before evolving will be permanently added to your stats.
In order to assimilate this information, your status table will have some minor changes.
Gaining experience will be much harder as an evolved species, unless you manage to kill another evolved species.
Astral Wanderer specific information:
Major body enhancements are available every 15 constitution. Current major enhancements: wings
Minor body enhancements available bases on constitution, one is free. Current minor enhancements: Danger sense, enhanced eyesight
As a tier 4 species, you have an aura that can drastically affect those with lesser evolutions.
I did a quick look through of my status sheet, something I hadn’t done in far too long. Endurance was my lowest stat at 15, increasing by one each for agility, strength, constitution, and then dexterity. I went ahead and added ten each to constitution and endurance, as they would boost my health and health regen. After the beating I had received in the golem portion of the dungeon, I knew I would need it. I could have used an extra two to get a second major adaptation, but I liked keeping my regen in balance. Taking one day to fully recover health wasn’t too bad of a deal in my book, though I would probably need to boost it if I was going to be casting any divine level spells.

“SEAN!” A silver haired elven missile streaked toward me as soon as I exited the tower, slamming into my chest and wrapping me in a deceptively powerful hug. One that I was more than happy to return.

“Miss me?” I chuckled.
“Shut up,” she murmured, “You were gone for five days.”
“Really?” I asked.
“Yep.”
“Well, sorry. I didn’t have any control over that. Is there anything we need to do right now?”
She sighed, waiting a moment to respond. “I don’t want to, but Brian wants to see us after your evolution. He might have a few missions for us to choose from to get you some quick experience.” She leaned back to look me over, getting slightly confused.
“My eyes.” I hinted.
“Eyes? Oh!” She exclaimed, staring into my new eyes. I had gotten a glimpse in the tower, and the silver sheen was rather striking.
“Come on, let’s go see what jobs Brian has that could send us north.” I said, tugging on her hand. “Are the brothers going to meet us there?”
“North? And yes, they are already there. We just need to stop by the training yard.” She said, confused but doing a decent job following the conversation.
“Yeah. I had a hint from someone that I should head north, so let’s take that job if it isn’t too much trouble.” I said with a smile. She gave me a weird look, but we headed on our way to quickly pick up the twins. I could tell they had some questions, but were happy to wait for a while.
“Sean?”
“Hello Hides-in-Reeds. Finished my evolution, would the guildmaster and loremaster be available for a quick meeting?” I greeted the receptionist who for some reason kept me in the corner of her eyesight.
“Yes, they are waiting in his office for you,” she said after a moment of fiddling with some communication stones.
“Thanks,” I said with a nod before heading up the stairs. I wonder what she was eyeing me for? Was five days to evolve really that far off the norm? As I was wondering, we came up to the guildmaster’s office and knocked.
“Come in!” Came an excited call, and I was smiling as I opened the door. “Sean! All evolved and everything, and you brought the entire group? Excellent, excellent. Come on in. For those that don’t know, this is Loremaster Eric.”
The group shook hands and made introductions all around before settling down. Brian gave a sigh and started things off. “Now that we have that out of the way, shall we get down to business? I’m rather excited to see what evolution you have chosen. You can give us as many details as you are comfortable with.”
“No problem. I am now an Astral Wanderer. I won’t tell all my secrets, but I do get added spirit every time I level up. My cap is also level 100.” I explained.
“Astral Wanderer? Excellent! That’s a new top tier evolution!” Eric started furiously scribbling down things while Brian simply chuckled. “Are there any other evolutions you can tell us about?”

“Sure. I also had the option of Dark One, Defiant, Demiurge, Titan, and Ascended human.”
“Sean, you just said Heretic five times. You ok there?” D’Vaen asked from my side.
“Huh? Seriously? There were five different options- damnit!” I swore under my breath, “it must be protected information. All you guys are going to hear is heretic. I was so looking forward to a full set of gold tier gear.” I said the last part whistfully.
“Stupid system and their limitations.” Eric snarled, shocking us with his anger.
“Easy there, friend,” Brian said, patting his shoulder, “I’m sure Sean might have a few more from the lower tiers that could be useful. Shall we try?”
I nodded. “Easy enough to do. Angel, Cosmic being, and Celestial one are on the same level as Elemental King.”
Eric perked right up at that, scribbling away once again. “Three more for the book! Wonderful! Absolutely fantastic!”
“Well, I guess that makes four pieces of equipment we will owe you.” Brian chuckled.
“Is it really worth that much?” One of the brothers asked.
“Indeed,” Eric nodded, “Knowing that there are higher levels pushes people to truly press their limits. Many of the names can also steer people toward the likely requirements, though at the higher tiers like this there are often hidden conditions.”
“Enough of that,” Brian interrupted, “I will work with the craftsmen, and see what we can come up with for gear. While we are doing that, do you think you could give us some hints as to what to strive for? While we are working on it, there are a few quests for some high grade materials, would you be interested in tracking down some of them for the experience?”
“Sure, what do you have?” I asked.
“Well. Random monster hunts to the east if you want, but that is generally hit or miss. We couldn’t trust the normal hunting grounds for at least a year since they forced a monster wave on us. If you head southeast, there are a lot of plants that can be harvested to help out. Or, if you don’t mind the most dangerous of the lot, you could head up north.”
“What’s up north?” I asked with a grin, catching Elendria staring at me.
“Pandacorns.”
“Pandacorns? Sounds like a cute little creature, what’s the part that makes it so difficult?”
Brian shook his head. “Pandacorns are vicious creatures. The horn on their heads absorbs ambient mana at a tremendous rate, and can discharge it on a moment’s notice. Combine that with oversized claws and a body built to chase down prey, there aren’t many that like to attack them on a good day, let alone with the mayhem going on now.”
“What are they useful for and what are these issues?” Elendria asked, leaning forward.
“Powdered horn is the absolute best substrate for enchanting. Even mana crystals tend to have some sort of contamination, but these horns somehow manage to remove the elemental taint and leave behind pure mana. Since they live off of mana, they tend to congregate around places of power. This group lives on a branch of the Bog of Eternal Shadow. While you are aware that it has awakened, something else occurred recently. This is the most active it has been in at least fifty years, and the pandacorn population is exploding with the ambient mana.”
“We’ll head north then.” I nodded, probably shocking everyone.
D’Vorak nudged my shoulder and asked, “You sure about that? Sounds like it is going to be rough going.”
I smiled at him and replied, “It’ll be fine. I had someone tell me that I should head north if I got the chance, that it would be something I needed to do.”
“That sounds like there is a story in there.” Brian immediately sat forward in his chair, and I caught Eric perking up as well.
“I’m sure there is, but it’ll have to wait. How long is the trip up north?” I chuckled.
“Three days by eagzard.” Brian answered immediately.
“Very well. We will head there, and come back after a few days of hunting. As for rewards for the information, I guess gear that is going to boost regeneration of health and mana, or either of those pools would be great. Oh, and something on summoning. I learned an interesting fact in the tower, and want to explore it a bit.”
“Do you have any summoning experience at all?” Brian asked.
“Nope.” I shook my head no.
“I’ll get what I can, starting with the basics then. Can you tell us about what you learned?” He practically begged.
“When we get back. Now, if you guys don’t mind, we have a hunting trip to plan.” I said, interrupting any more questions Brian had. I somehow knew that if I let him keep going, we would spend the entire afternoon with him trying to get as much information on my experience as he could.
“I’ll start pulling together supplies.” D’Vorak interrupted my thoughts as we were leaving.
“Do you mind if I tag along?” I asked, surprising him. “I have no idea of how to plan a trip like this, and it seems like it would be necessary information.”
“Indeed. Feel free, and I’ll try and explain as we go. Just let me do the haggling.” With that agreed, we headed out to plan for at least two weeks in the wild with mounts.
