《(Dropped) Crown of the martyr and martyr of the Crown.》Vault number 10 (03-05)

Irwyn still held Elizabeth in his hands as he found himself appearing in front of a gargantuan vault door with Golem by his side. Unlike Irwyn, Golem did not specialise in a certain type of magic, an impossible exception for someone with his power. Normally a creature would be unable to properly awaken unless they focused on a specific Truth to comprehend, however, Golem possessed a basic comprehension of nearly all the truths created by the aspects, instead of an immensely powerful specialisation. That made him the greatest jack of all trades in the universe, as he could use basically any magic there was, with the exception of the most powerful and specialised spells, or the most eccentric types.
That way it was no wonder that he could casually teleport both himself and two other beings in an instant without causing even mild discomfort.
"Let's enter," Golem nodded solemnly as he waved his hand and the giant door began to unlock itself. There was, of course, a reason why they had to enter through the front instead of appearing at their destination. Although Golem's powers were impressive, even he could not tread where the aspects did not allow. And that magic guarding the Treasury of Logos was nearly unrivalled when it came to being impenetrable.
Slowly the large door opened, and Irwyn entered. In front of him appeared a long hallway with no walls, instead, both sides of the room were covered with uncountable small safes. Besides some anomalies, countless safes roughly large enough to store something like jewellery were stacked upon one another, towering as high as Irwyn could see. Each of those safes was numbered, however, whenever Irwyn's eyes tried to stumble upon those numbers, his vision was involuntarily averted by powerful magic, preventing him from reading even a single one.
"So, what is the deal with the girl anyway," Golem asked as he began to walk. They both knew their stroll would last for a bit, "I thought you had abandoned the notion of creating relationships with the mortals a long time ago."

"That hadn't changed," Irwyn shook his head and glanced at Elizabeth, "However, this is the first time I got to meet a Herald this incredibly young. The main reason why I have given up on recruiting mortals was because they could not keep up with my advancement speed and maintain long term usefulness."
"But as a double Herald with your personal guidance, she just might," Golem nodded in understanding.
"Yes. Moreover, I am rather interested in that quest: Meeting of fate. Just the name itself makes me curious," Irwyn explained further. There was no such power as fate or destiny in the universe, nothing which determined the future or dictated what's inevitable. Since that was the case, why was there a quest named like that? Moreover, one crafted by Logos himself.
"It is curious indeed," Golem could not refute that "has Overseer revealed anything?"
"No," Irwyn shook his head, "When I attempted to peek into the future objectives and rewards I was denied access."
"Since that is the case, I probably won't be of much help," Golem sighed, even he only possessed the same access as overseer "The least I can do is connect her profile with yours, and make it highly confidential. Just in case."
"That would be ideal," Irwyn nodded, "I will fill up the formula later."
"Don't worry about it," Golem waved his hand, "Don't hesitate to ask me for anything you might need."
"In fact, there are some things I need your help with," Irwyn said, "First of all, I need to know whether there are any awakened healers currently alive."
"Healers you say," Golem said, closed his eyes, and was silent for a few seconds before he spoke again, "Unfortunately none, only Freya and the sapling, and those two won't leave the Valley even for you," he delivered not so great news. Unfortunately, Golem himself did not possess the abilities of an awakened healer, he could be considered to be merely at the peak of 4th tier as a healer because of the immense excentricity of healing.

“Your body,” Golem frowned, likely scanning through Irwyn’s body, and finding out about his internal injuries, “Do you need me to send someone to help you deal with a situation?”
“No,” Irwyn shook his head, “Despite my careless mistake I was born into an extremely good background, and those things that caused me to become like this are already in order. Moreover, I will be heading to the academy very soon, and will naturally have access to everything I need once I contact my people there. What you could do for me, however, is to keep an eye on a couple of individuals.”
“Their names?” Golem agreed without hesitation.
“Minet Bloom, Alice of Steelmire, and an incubus called Desir. All 3 of them at the very least seekers,” Irwyn named out. Golem once again closed his eyes for a second, before speaking, “I see, so that is your solution. You will raise an awakened healer yourself. However, what about the other two?”
“Since I will already be training a healer, I might as well raise his bodyguards for him. That way I will have a group of loyal and powerful helpers on my side in the future,” Irwyn explained, "Moreover, since I can't use teleportation, it will be convenient to have access to a capable spatial mage earlier than usual. And about the demon, well, as you already know, he is quite curious."
“Not a bad plan,” Golem nodded, “I will have someone gather any information not shown by Overseer for you before you leave. But for now, we are here,” as Golem announced. For a while now, there were no longer just those small safes, but actual large vaults covering the walls. Now that they reached this deep the vaults were no longer stacked upon each other, and there was a large distance between them. Although Irwyn could still not read those numbers, he followed Golem’s lead and stopped by the vault.
“Now then,” Golem raised his hand towards the vault. Immediately violent winds coursed through the hallway, almost knocking Irwyn off his feet. A sound of thunder ringed in the distance while the temperature seemed to suddenly rise, only to plummet the next moment, and vice versa. As those event were happening, the vault’s door also began to change. Countless cogs and wheels appeared on its surface, and began to move, emitting clear noise despite the roaring thunder. This continued for an entire minute until it all suddenly ceased. The area recovered its former stable temperature, while it was enveloped by an almost eerie silence. At that point, the vault door finally began to slowly open.
Irwyn and Golem were looking on with interest. Whatever was inside a vault like this must be an immensely powerful artefact of the aspects. Usually, neither of them would dare to use something like that, as it would be considered nothing short of heresy, however, this was a gift granted by the aspect of Logos himself. They both did not doubt that his judgement far surpassed theirs. Only the aspects themselves were worthy of granting something like this.
Finally, the door opened wide enough to reveal what was inside. But to Irwyn’s surprise, it did not appear to be an artefact of great power or any power at all. Instead, there on a pedestal lay two plain looking steel short swords.
