《Devil Cultivator in an Ability User World》(Rewritten) Chapter 19 - The Conclusion of the Fight

While Damien was charging at the tiger, he was constantly roaring and growling towards the tiger and the tiger returned them just as much.
The primitive part that seemed to have taken over Damien took these growls and roars as a challenge and it just angered him even further and he sped up his charge.
Those watching were watching in shock, looking at him with a mixture of surprise and curiosity. None of them understood why he had changed like he had but they had all guessed that he had a Physiology Class Ability.
Mrs. Quila looked down at Damien, wondering why it didn't say he had a Physiology Class Ability in his files but she soon came to the conclusion he was a late bloomer, but she decided to ask him after the fight.
As soon as Damien and the Tiger's charges met, there was a loud bang as the ground surrounding the place they had collided started to crack and fall apart from the pressure created. Damien had grabbed the Tiger's throat with his hand and the Tiger had started to slash at Damien's stomach in a frenzy.
This didn't seem to bother Damien, he only had a slight grimace upon his twisted face but it was soon wiped away as Damien concentrated and tightened his grip on the Tiger's throat and lifted it as high as he could and started to slam his free arm into the Tiger's midsection with fervor evening tearing at it with his own claws.
"How's it feel, Mr. Big Bad Tiger? Huh?! How's it feel to have someone slash their claws at your stomach, you impudent beast?! Hahaha!"
As Damien was slashing the Tiger's stomach, he continued to roar things like that at the Tiger and the Tiger kept roaring out its answer in pain.
Suddenly as Damien was about to go for another slash, the Tiger's tail came out of nowhere and slapped Damien back a few meters, he only stopped because he slammed his claws into the ground. He tried to use his physical energy and pushed it into the floor to counteract his momentum and stop himself but for some reason, he just couldn't control it as well as he could usually do it.
'Must be that the energy in my body is going berserk so it's harder for me to grasp at energy inside my body and to then control it. How annoying, I'll have to work on a way to fix this. Urgh...'
Letting out an annoyed growl, Damien thought about his current options.
Right now Damien could only summon the physical energy in his body and augment himself, he couldn't concentrate his strength or disperse it into his attacks either but the biggest downside was that he couldn't use the same amount as he usually could because the physical energy mixed a little bit with his Devil Qi everytime it entered his body and it drove the energy a bit berserk, making it harder to control.
'But that's all I'll need, my brute strength and a little bit of physical energy to spice things up a bit. Let's see what this Big Cat can withstand~'
As soon as he fully stopped Damien pushed off the ground and shot towards the Tiger. Damien's claws were fully extended and he was even baring his teeth as he flew at the Tiger. When he reached the Tiger he started to slash and rip and tear at everything he could get his hands on.
As he did this the Tiger started biting and clawing at Damien's body and in a few minutes both of them looked like they'd just been drenched in a pool of blood but Damien didn't look unhappy, in fact, he looked in a frenzied happiness fueled by his battle-lust. Like he was at his own birthday party getting gift after gift but because he was covered in blood it was a very chilling and eerie sight for those who saw it.

The Tiger on the other hand just looked both angered and a bit scared. It had never met a human that it felt was like it's own kin in terms of temperament before. 'Such wildness and primal brutality, it belongs to us beasts, so why does this Human have it?' is all that went through this Tigers mind on repeat as it watched Damien.
"Wow, you've really given me a good work out. How about you stop holding back, Mr. Big Cat?"
The Tiger didn't understand human speech but it could understand that Damien was asking for a bigger challenge. And a bigger challenge it would give. The Tiger let out a roar that seemed much stronger than it's previous ones.
The black stripes on its body turned as red as blood and the muscles under the white fur seemed to bulk up a bit while its yellow eyes turned red. But the biggest change was its aura that seemed to radiate a majesty and a bloodlust like no other.
When these changes happened, Damien got even more excited and his aura started to increase as well. The aura told of hunger so voracious it would devour the heavens as an appetizer and it told of wrath that burnt so ferociously it turned the earth and skies into nothing but cinders. But regardless of what it told, it was utterly terrifying.
As everyone in the class looked at Damien and felt his aura, they felt he wasn't human.
The way he looked, the aura he gave off, none of it was human even in the slightest and all but Michael backed away in fear. Michael didn't move but from his pale face, you could see that he was fearful and the only thing stopping him from backing away was the thought that Damien was his friend.
The only one who didn't show fear at all was Mrs. Quila, she looked like she was looking at a rarest of rare gems and that rare gem had just so happened to fall onto her lap.
'I was going to push you to the top before, Damien, but now? I'm going to push you further than that, ohohoh how many training plans I have in store for you~'
Earlier, she had thought he was just a raving psychopath with a little bit of potential that went to his head but now, while she still thought that he was a raving psychopath, his potential was massively above and beyond her expectations and she wished desperately to mold that potential.
While he was looking at the Tiger, Damien shivered a little bit and this made him pull a confused expression but he soon shook it off and concentrated on his opponent.
Damien felt that his power was growing. His body was changing and it was a fantastic change. He could feel his entire body improving, whether it was muscle, bone, organs or just his bodily systems in general, it was all getting better.
'The manual did say something like this would happen if I was pushed enough in my Devil Form. And it would seem my Limitless Body ability is helping increase the changes that are happening immensely. I've probably lit a few other Devil Nodes during this. Well, let's continue pushing and see if I can get a massive increase in power!'
This though was soon finished and Damien shot off towards the berserk Tiger and soon appeared in front of it.
Another round of brutality was carried out as he and the Tiger slammed their limbs into each other. There was no skill, no technique, just pure primal ferocity where they continued to hit each other and ignored the damage on their bodies as if it wasn't there.

As this carried on, Damien's body was starting to look worse but the Tiger was looking much more terrible. It was missing an eye, it's entire underbelly was ripped up like a worn out shirt and it's front legs were also scratched up and were pouring with blood like a mini waterfall.
Damien, on the other hand, had scratches all around his chest and stomach. His fists and arms were pretty torn up from constantly coming into contact with the Tigers steel-like body and limbs, hell, even it's hair was sharp and hard. But he had something the Tiger didn't really have; A Healing Factor.
While Mutant Beasts heal quicker than humans, Damien's whole body has been enhanced time after time and that includes his ability to heal and recover, plus his Devil Qi's inherent ability at nourishing and healing it means one thing - Damien is monstrous when it comes to healing.
To the point where he can even heal in battle and despite it only being a slight heal, it's still an advantage over his opponents.
But ignoring its injuries the Tiger didn't let up, in fact, it got even more ferocious and it even got to the point where it slashed across Damien's chest and left an incredibly deep gash.
After this gash, Damien was flung backward so far that he hit the Arena's wall again. Soon after he hit the wall he coughed up some blood but he still got up onto his feet and started walking towards the beast. Walking became running and running became sprinting and finally, he reached the beast.
But after that slash, his head was cleared up a little and this time he decided to use his martial art and kept dodging in between the swipes and bites and then he'd throw a ruthless counter when the chance arose and after doing this for another 2 minutes, the Tiger was completely worn out.
So was Damien, he'd lost an incredible amount of blood and thus after the Tiger had shown its weakness and was swaying from side to side he stepped back a bit and fell on his ass. But then something happened and Damien scolded himself for his foolishness.
The Tiger had tricked him. After what Mrs. Quila had said about lower ranks being less intelligent, Damien had underestimated the Tiger's intelligence and didn't expect it to have set a trap like that.
'This world has made me a bit soft. Gonna have to fix that at some point if I don't die now.'
The Tiger pounced onto Damien and lunged at his neck and tried to rip it out with its razor-sharp teeth. Damien barely caught it's jaws a few inches away from his neck and some cold sweat went down his back. And there they were, Damien pushing the tiger away and the Tiger trying to rip his throat out.
He looked at Mrs. Quila who he knew could help him but her indifferent, almost interested face, looked at Damien as if to tell him he could, and would, get himself out of this situation. A flash of annoyance went past his face.
Not just at Mrs. Quila but at the Tiger, himself and at his own weakness.
So when the Tiger started ripping at Damien's body again and he started to lose even more blood, he wasn't incredibly happy. He heard a desperate shout behind, a few actually, but right now he was getting really drowsy and he couldn't do anything to hear them or save himself.
As his eyelids got progressively heavier, Damien felt a sudden spark in his mind which seemed to cause a surge in his Devil Qi.
'I can't die. I don't want to die. I don't have to die. You do. You can die. You.Have.To.Die.'
As Damien was losing more and more blood and getting dizzier, the spark in his mind and the surge in his Devil Qi started a change in him.
Well, to be more specific it was 2 changes.
In his heart there was a pure blood red flame in it, it gave his heart a red aura and made the blood passing through his heart to burn like molten metal. Then in his stomach, his intestines and all the things related to the digestive system an orange flame started appearing in them and coating the walls of the organs in a thin layer of orange flames.
After these changes happened, Damien was hit by 2 things; A Violent and Ravenous need for Power.
Feeling this need and knowing instinctively what to do, he bit into the Tigers neck with his now hardened and sharpened teeth.
Thick, bright red blood rushed into Damien's mouth and he started greedily drinking down the delicious nectar.
Once it knew what Damien was doing, the Tiger started thrashing about but Damien's gripped was suddenly like a vice, renewed by some weird force which the Tiger couldn't escape. Soon it died, just like that. But Damien didn't stop, it was like he was drinking a milkshake and he was adamant on drinking every last drop of it. Once the blood ran dry, he pointed his hand towards where the Tiger's heart should be and pierced through the Tiger's chest with surprising ease and he soon grabbed the heart and ripped it out.
And although the students were all bright people, they never could have guessed what Damien, a human in their eyes, would've done next; He ate it. He ate the beast's heart like was the most delicious thing he'd ever had the pleasure of eating.
Soon after he finished the heart, he stood up and let out an earth-shaking roar and he collapsed soon after, leaving a group of shocked and fearful students and one curious but excited teacher just standing there.
The students snapped out of it quickly and, other than Troy, they ran towards where Damien was. When they reached him they saw that the black markings that looked like tiger stripes were switching between red, orange and black and they were growing bigger, it seemed to them that some kind of change was happening to Damien.
Mrs. Quila soon rushed over when she saw the worry on their faces. She took one look at Damien and called the infirmary staff to come to pick him up and once they had, Mrs. Quila told the students that they would carry on with the Mutant beast battles and after they could go see Damien if they wanted.
In the Infirmary~
While Damien was lying on the infirmary bed covered in bandages he looked peaceful as the changes continued to happen in his body.
By coincidence or just overall luck, he just then had lit his 15th Devil Node and because of this, blood came out of his pores and covered his body in a cocoon; A Blood Cocoon. A change was about to happen and if Damien was awake, he'd probably nervously chuckle and think about how to explain this.

Yet despite the battered prince’s failures, he has set into motion a series of events that will forever change his life. Author’s Note: This is the direct sequel to the first Dark Lands story and as time goes on I will update the synopsis to help bring further detail about the story. For now however, I hope you all enjoy what is about to be written. Eight Years Arc: Eight Years have passed since Aurelius and Iskra have first met one another, and a lot has changed since then. The vast majority of Aurelius’ family has been slaughtered by the hands of none other than his oldest brother, a man that the golden haired prince had spent the past several years to hunt down and kill all in the name of vengeance. Upon his return, the kin-slaying prince has found that some things have changed during his absence. Iskra, his first wife and love of his life, has proclaimed that she no longer cares about the events that have been unfolding in her former homeland for the last several years and states that she is solely focused on raising her children. Yet it is through learning that the High Elves have taken a keen interest in the once magically-absent lands of Ranislava that Aurelius decides that action must be taken and thus he journeys south to learn more about what his distant kin are up to in such a backwater region of the world. Who he will meet and what he will do will turn the tides of fate, but in whose favor is something that only the Gods will know. (The Eight Years arc is something that was designed to be written in a way where people don't have to feel the need to go back to the very beginning of the Dark Lands story in order to know what is going on or who the characters are.)
