KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*
"DAMIEN! Get up, you need to get ready for the awakening procedure!"
As Damien rubbed the sides of his head from being exposed to such loud noises this early in the morning, he looked over at the digital clock on his bedside table and saw that it was 6 in the morning.
He sighed as he reluctantly got up and replied in a sleepy tone to his Mother "Okay Mom, I get it, I'm up..."
As he got up, he got dressed in a simple white t-shirt, some black track pants and put on some white trainers he usually wore. Luckily, as he had loads of growth spurts, his mother, as a precaution, had it so most of his clothes could either stretch a lot or she just had multiple sizes of each different item.
So even after the changes in the size of his body from the recent change, his clothes still more or less fit him.
He walked to his door and opened it to see his nervous Mother and his sleepy sister, as he and his sister shared a look of mutual suffering, he looked towards his Mother and asked in a slightly annoyed voice "When are we actually go then, Mom?" to which she innocently replied with a smile on her face "We're setting out at 7:30 am sweetie" she quickly turned around and started to lead Sara and Damien downstairs towards the dining room, completely missing the siblings eyes twitching in annoyance.
'Hmm, so I'll be awakening soon, huh? Well, let's hope it all goes to plan...'
Damien winced as he thought this.
'...I should probably stop jinxing myself shouldn't I?'
As he nodded his head at his own question, they had arrived at the kitchen where a healthy breakfast was placed on the table.
Suddenly a question came to Damien's mind "Mom, why'd you wake Sara up? Is she coming or something?" he asked this with a questioning expression.
His Mother, who was talking to his Father, turned towards Damien and said "Yup, she's coming with us, I want to show her what to expect from an awakening procedure and what better one to watch than her beloved brother's?" she smiled while giggling like she was the child in the family. As soon as she heard the last part of what her Mother said, Sara got embarrassed but did nothing to refute what her Mother had said.
'You're not going to say anything Sara? That's not like you, how odd...'
He thought about something for a while before his face paled at his thoughts.
'Wait. I just thought, while I've been here on Terra I've been using the Internet quite a lot when I've been resting from training, to gather information at first but then I started to find it fun and I remember that there was a term for what Sara has been acting like recently, oh god no, please--'

"Well yeah, Big Bro is my favorite person, after all, I don't want to see any else's awakenings." said Sara with a bashful expression while looking in Damien's direction.
This ended in Damien to nearly choking on the Orange juice he was drinking, clearly not ready for what she said.
'Oh god, isn't this a budding Bro-con? Oh please fade with age, please fade with age, please fade with age.'
As Damien was chanting what seemed like his new mantra, his Father looked over to him "Damien, Son, are you excited?" he asked with a carefree and loving look on his face, as Damien was snapped out of his mantra, he turned to look at his Dad saying "Of course I am Dad! I'm gonna awaken the best ability in the world obviously" he joked towards the end because he knew his parents were worried about him being too nervous, so he dropped a joke to show that he was fine and it wasn't really affecting him.
Like he intended his Dad laughingly replied "Of course, you're my son after all, you wouldn't be fearful of a small awakening procedure haha!"
Damien finished his breakfast and orange juice before he standing up and looking at the clock on the wall of the room and saw that the time was around 6:13 am.
Seeing he had some time to burn, Damien went to his room to look on the internet for facts about awakenings, just to make sure that he's ready for it and everything.
'Hm, there's a 5% death rate for the procedure? Ohhh it's from people who took too much Metzlit, makes sense, from what I've read, it's quite a tyrannical substance, too little and nothing will happen even as you feel the pain from the Metzlit going around your body and too much and even though you'll most likely awaken your ability, you'll probably die from the pain of the medicine going through you're body.'
Damien lay back in his chair and looked at his ceiling while pondering about the information he'd found.
'What a thin line. Well, I'm 99% sure that my body could handle it, not many kids who are 10 years old can lift over 5 tons, so it makes sense their bodies can't handle it while mine can.'
As he jokingly thought, Damien started to start researching a new topic - [Technomancers] - they seem incredibly dangerous in this world ruled by technology, proven by their S+ Rank, so Damien thought that he should do some research on technology so he knows how to combat them.
'Technology in Terra puts the formations in my old world to shame, they have weapons of destruction that normal people can use, they have guns that can kill Warrior-Type Metahumans and they also have things that can incapacitate a Mage Type's abilities and the user themselves. Shame the technology is so expensive.'

Damien thought about it all for a moment while leaning back into his chair.
'What an adaptable world, on my old world ability users would have ruled with an iron fist but on this world, the normal people came up with ways to use technology to subdue them and stay on the same level as them. Obviously there are incredibly strong Metahumans who can get past these things but still, the majority of Metahumans can't, so technology seems like something I should learn about. As a wise man once said "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not to fear the result of a hundred battles" '
As he thought this he kept reading about Technology and time flew by and it was already 7:10 am, so his Mother came to drag him away from his computer and they set out to the Awakening Facility.
About 20 minutes later~
Once they arrived here, Damien looked at the Tall White dome building and thought about how weird the architecture of Terra's buildings are. As he shook his head to get rid of any useless thoughts he walked into the building with his Mother and Sara following after him, they went to the receptionist and before his Mother could speak, the 20-something-year-old man sitting there looked up and flashed a charismatic smile.
"You must be Mrs. Nether, you're right on time for your son's appointment, follow me and I'll take you to the private Awakening room you booked."
As he got up and motioned them to follow him as all 4 of them walked to a staircase and walked up one floor to a pure white corridor where the receptionist just walked while still leading them, when they reached a black door with the word 'Private' written in white on it, as the receptionist knocked on the door someone answered it at the same time, this didn't seem to faze the receptionist as he smiled and told the female doctor that Mrs.Nether was here to have her son awakened.
"Ah okay, come on in Mrs.Nether, you can call me Dr. Yuka" The doctor greeted his mother, as Damien, his Mother, and Sara each sat down. His Mother nodded with a smile on her face in a sign of greeting.
"So how are we getting started Doc?" said Damien with a grin on his face, to which he Dr. Yuka smiled back at him and gave him two small blue pills and a glass of water and told him to take the pills, Damien complied and ate the pills and drank some water to wash it down.
As soon as the pills entered his stomach, a warm flow of energy started passing through his body which came as a surprise to him, mainly because he didn't expect it to be energy so similar to Qi going around his body.
As soon as she saw the surprised expression on his face she smiled slightly and said "Can you already feel the energy from the pills? Looks like you're quite talented Damien."
Damien answered with a soft nod of his head. Hearing that her son was even more talented than she knew before, his Mother's smile beamed even brighter than before, while Sara nodded her head like she expected her brother to be talented.
'Can you two stop having such blind confidence in me?! One of these days it's gonna get me into huge trouble...'
Damien couldn't help but mentally react to his sister and Mother's confidence like this, the amount of familial love and pride being thrown at him being something he wasn't used to.
Dr. Yuka stood up and took all three of them to where the metal sphere he has to enter was and told Damien's mother and sister to go behind a big screen that seemed pretty durable and hard to see through from the side that Damien was on.
But alas with Damien's incredibly strong senses that he got from the Blood Cocoon, he could see that it had screens with live footage of what was inside the metal pod.
'Well, at least they'll know if something goes wrong, gotta look on the bright side of things, right?'
He nervously chuckled mentally as Dr. Yuka told him to sit down on a chair and administered the liquid Metzlit in 7 separate places; His chest, his lower spine, both his legs, both his arms and finally one to the back of his head.
By now Damien felt a bit dizzy because of how much Metzlit was in his body, as she saw that it was already taking effect, Dr. Yuka spoke out.
"Damien, go sit in the pod now and get comfortable"
Damien simply nodded and walked into the pod and sat down as a door slid down and covered the only entry for the pod.
As Damien was getting comfortable he heard a low buzz start, most people wouldn't hear it but he could, it started low than when higher, than lower again and it kept switching between the two, it was quite annoying to Damien's now-sensitive hearing.
When the buzzing was switching between both low and high pitched sounds, he felt a wave of weird energy hit him. Damien guessed this was the radiation used to spur on the awakening.
As soon as this energy hit Damien, he felt a change in his Brain, like something just unlocked and entered his brain but at the same time, he felt something leave as well. Whatever left, it's absence made Damien's head feel incredibly empty.
Somewhere else deep in his body, a chain snapped, it didn't change anything with his body but it let something in, an ability, an ability that most mortals will never have.
