《Devil Cultivator in an Ability User World》(Rewritten) Chapter 2 - Information, Choosing a Technique and Foundation Building

1 year later~
A small child that looked to be just over a year old was looking at a book with a look of concentration no child that age should own, this could be none other than Damien who is reading books for new information on the world he's been reincarnated/thrown into.
'Ever since I've been able to crawl, about 4 months ago, I've been reading whenever my Mother isn't trying to crush me with her freakish adult strength and what I've discovered is honestly quite shocking. It seems that the world I'm now in, Terra, is a world of Ability Users and from what I've read it's quite close to a Cultivation world like mine but at the same time it's incredibly different, one thing would be that not everyone gets an ability like how everyone no matter their talent could have a shot at Cultivating back in my old world.'
This caused a wave of worry to rock through Damien's body when he first found out, he couldn't help but think about what if he doesn't get an ability and becomes in his opinion, trash.
This may not seem like much of a big deal to other people because about 65% of the world's population (World's population is around 20 billion) don't have abilities and they get on just fine but when you're like Damien and you were the Strongest Devil King in your old world, it would be quite hard to readjust to being a normal civilian no matter what he did.
But soon Damien calmed down, at the time he remembered the experiment he did 2 months ago prior to reading the book regarding Devil Cultivation, to see if he could cultivate or sense any Devil energy and to his utter surprise and delight, he could!
'YES! Who needs am ability, hmm?! With my Devil Cultivating techniques I'll just become the Devil King like how I did in my last life and then I'd like to see who would dare step up to me with their puny abilities?'
He remembered the arrogance and disdain on his face back then and he could only shake his head now at how far ahead of himself he had gotten.
'These ability users, or Metahumans as they're called, are all freaks!'
As Damien breathed out a helpless sigh, he felt the cold sweat on his back as he thought about how he was in a world of freaks, as he shook his head to get rid of those thoughts about what he could only refer to as monsters he looked down at the book he was reading, it had a plain and simple title but Damien still read it fervently, it was titled "Types of Metahumans and Awakening".
As he read through it he discovered that there were two different paths that a Metahuman would be set upon when they awakened, one was the "Warrior Path" which as you might have guessed, focused on the body and would give you abilities to do with physical aspects such as Superhuman Strength or Speed or it would give you the ability to Manipulate your bones so you could either grow bone armor over your skin or make bone spikes for weapons or even just make your bones harder to resists hits better or to make your hits stronger.
'Hmm, these "Warrior" Metahumans seem to be like Cultivators in a sense as they focus on their body and try to make it stronger through training! I had to sit in cultivation for a decade before I had the strength to attempt the Death Tribulation and all these "Warrior" Metahumans have to do is train their enhanced physical Attribute until they break through their limits and even though it will eventually reach a plateau and not be able to break through anymore, they still manage to have stronger bodies than cultivators and all they do is lift heavy things or run about with heavy things? That's it....? It's easy for some, huh?'

Damien shook his head with a weird smile on his face, feeling aggravated over the easy time these Metahumans got but also happy over how many new challenges he could face in this new world.
'It's not fun if it's easy, right?'
Damien asked no one in particular but quickly brought his attention back in line, away from his battle lust and excitement over challenges.
"Ahem"
Damien coughed to disguise the fact that he just had a temper tantrum, even if it was a mental one.
Looking at how he just reacted, like a child, he remembered something else he discovered a few months ago, it is that even though he's a hundred of years old Devil he now is in the body of a baby and that immature body is making his mind and personality a bit immature and he has outbursts like that and they embarrass him to the same level as having his Mother change his diaper.
Damien's immature face darkened slightly...
...As he was starting to remember those dark times he decided to keep reading the book to distract himself from those dark memories.
As he read past the "Warrior" path he reached the only other Type that you can become, the "Mage" type, these were much scarier than the "Warrior" type when it came to pure destructive potential, even if it was a lower ranked ability such as Terrakinesis (Earth Manipulation) if they trained it to a high enough level they could manipulate all the Earth around them and use it however they want, other examples would be such as Hydrokinesis or Pyrokinesis which held similar destructive potential to Terrakinesis, in that if they were trained to a high enough level that they would have amazing destructive potential
'Although this would take an enormous amount of energy according to the book, someone out there must be able to do it, otherwise, it wouldn't be referenced in the book...'
Damien couldn't help a shiver go down his back, that single shiver, snapped something in Damien, he felt like something was stepping on his pride, even though he knew nothing was, he felt like something was mocking him, even though nothing was and it all comes to a boiling point and then he felt like something was calling him weak and even though he knew that no one was, he snapped.
It must be taken into account that you don't become someone called the Devil King by an entire world if you don't already have some screws loose in your head. Damien's current mental thoughts were more than enough to prove this--
'They think they're so powerful with their abilities that my Devil Arts can't compare? They think that I am weak? They think they can mock me...? Haha..haha..hahaHAhaHAHAHAHA!'
As he was laughing like a maniac, smiling with such Bloodlust and Excitement that it would cause even the most veteran of Cultivators to shit themselves.
'How exciting, new challenges, more battles to improve and temper myself in! How could I have been scared of these people? They're fitting opponents, opponents worthy for me, The Devil King! This seems like the first time in decades that anyone has had the guts to ever be stronger than me! Hahahahaha!'
--As Damien lost himself in his maniac-like laughing and immense battle lust, stupidly thinking that he was the only person who deserved to be strong, he heard a door open behind him
"Damien, my son, are you okay?"
Damien instantly wiped the excitement and bloodlust that should never be on a 1-year-old's face and turned to face a man, his Father.

As he looked at his Father's tall figure of about 6'1" he thought about how it's quite a dynamic between his parents and how his Mother is over half a foot shorter than his Father, then he looked at his unkempt Raven Black hair which laid freely and without much of a style on his head all the way down to his shoulders, then he looked at his Father's piercing Green eyes, that looks like a hawk's eyes, along with his well- built and toned body, he looked quite imposing but all that imposing aura was washed away when Damien looked at the carefree grin he kept on his face constantly, even when he was scolding my Mother for being, well quite frankly, stupid.
As Damien nods towards his Father to show he's okay and to seal the deal even further he smiled the cutest smile he could put together and well it seemed to work
"Hahaha! My son Damien seems to be a genius, you really shocked your Mother and I when you suddenly started reading, Damien, but it's to be expected you're my, Charles Nether's, son! You're part of the Nether's Noble Family my boy and it's a noble family of ability users, so you must live up to these expectations, okay?"
Damien nodded with so much enthusiasm and confidence that his Father was shocked further and he began laughing again
"Hahaha good, good! My Son will become the strongest on all three continents, whether it be Tyra, Krux or Esbras, well I shall leave you, Damien, have fun reading!"
And thus my Father left while madly laughing and mumbling about how his son will be a genius that will shock the world after Damien couldn't hear his Father's mad chuckling anymore, he thought back to the knowledge about the continents in the world.
'There are 3 continents, each called Tyra, Krux and Esbras, like what my Father said, but sorry to disappoint you Dad; I think I have to become strong in the country we're in first before thinking about the world~'
The continent he was on now was the Tyra, and there were 13 countries in this continent, he's in the Tanra Kingdom the second most prosperous on the continent, only behind the Latres Kingdom, Krux has 11 countries in it, while Esbras also has 11 countries in it, as Damien thought his knowledge about the continents was good enough for now he decided to keep reading the book he was reading before his episode of mania and his Dad entering the room.
'Now, onto Awakening...Hm? You go through the awakening procedure when you turn 10? That's good, I've got plenty of time to make sure my Devil Arts foundation is strong and stable enough to carry me through this world even if I don't awaken an ability, although I'm quite sure I will awaken one, it doesn't mean I'll get a good one......Should I do that?'
As if Damien had a very sinister idea, he started chuckling in his baby-like and immature way but even though it sounded like a baby, if any else heard it, they'd be sure that it came from a monster...
'If I implant a Devil Seed into my Heart now, by the time I'm 5, wouldn't my Talent for Devil Arts be immeasurable? Hahaha! I'm such a genius! Well no matter if I'm a genius or not, I should wait until I'm 2 years old until I plant the Devil Seed, until then I should try to nourish my body with Devil Qi, see what effects it has, it should make my body stronger but it most likely will strengthen even more than usual seeing as I'm a child and I'm growing still.'
As Damien was concentrating to get in the right set of mind for cultivating he discovered that a thin Red and Black piece of Qi had made its way into his body
'This is Devil Qi! Hmm, why does all the Devil Qi in the area seem so rich?'
It didn't take Damien long to work this out.
'Ah! It must be that because there are no other Devil Cultivators on this world and as Devil Qi is made through strong emotions being given form as Qi through a big enough build-up of these emotions and of course there will be a lot of strong emotions in any world! So I'm pretty much the only guy at an all you can eat Buffet? How lucky~'
As he now had the Devil Qi, he had to think about what Devil Art to use, he thought about using the one he used in his Last life but after living for Centuries he obviously picked up more and more better-graded Arts and now that he can start over he wants to use the one most suited for him, and as he was searching through his Memory, he came across one that stood out, he skimmed through it and it was definitely the strongest one he had but it seemed like the kind of Devil Art that was a bit extreme and when he kept reading, he was shown that he was right.
'WHAT!? Remove your Human Body Limiters and replace them with Devil Body Limiters, this will cast out all Useless, Weak and Redundant Human DNA and replace it with Devil DNA and depending on your talent depends on the purity and strength of the DNA given?! Hold up a minute! Doesn't this sound very dangerous? And how did I forget about having this?...But looking at the benefits this would bring me, I'm incredibly tempted to practice it, what's it called again?'
Damien looked at the Title and Description of the Devil Art and was a bit shocked by how Tyrannical and Domineering it sounded
Immortal Devil King Technique
Cast off your weak Human Limiters and give up all your Weak, Useless and Redundant Human DNA and replace them with Stronger, Better Devil Limiters, fill in your empty Genes with Devil DNA and become the perfect fusion between the strengths of a Human and the strengths of a Devil, Become a Half-Devil and then, then you can become the Immortal Devil King!
'Woah, Removing your Human Body Limiters is possible? and not only that you can replace them with Devil Body Limiters? If I could do that, plus taking away all my useless and weak DNA and only leaving the Strong Human DNA and then mixing in the Strong Devil DNA, I wonder how strong I'd become?'
The weak DNA Damien was talking about was the recessive genes in his body which held genetic diseases and even some dominant DNA which held weakness and imperfections. What the technique wanted to do was make sure the more beneficial DNA survived.
Well, Damien decided to wait until he was either 5 or 6 to start practicing the main cultivation technique, just to make sure his body was ready and until then all he'll do is basic body strengthening with Devil Qi with doesn't require a technique and just keep learning information until he reaches a suitable level.
While Damien was thinking, using a method from "The Immortal Devil King" Technique he started absorbing more and more Devil Qi and started bringing it towards his heart where he condensed it further and further until it looked like a seed.
This was his Devil Seed and despite what he thought earlier, he decided it would be better to plant it now because the more time he wastes the less chance he has to fully excavate his maximum potential towards Devil Cultivation and as soon as the Devil Seed is completed it would start pumping Devil Qi into his blood and this would, over a period of time make his body stronger and increase his aptitude towards Devil Cultivation as well.
As he was thinking about his future as the Devil King of Terra, he heard a clock signaling that it was 12:00 pm and time for lunch and thus, Damien, walked to the dining room while continuing to think about how dangerous and exciting his future path to be the First Devil King of Terra will be.
