《The Making of a God Slayer》Chapter 23: The Birth of The Blackstone Three (Part 3)

(1.000 years until the day of the summoning, 3° person POV)
Lilulana observed the crystal while waiting for Yukari to wake up. The storm stopped a few minutes ago, and the wind stopped. The earthquake stopped as well, but the sky is still dark. The crystal where Akatsuki is inside cracks from time to time.
Lilulana thought that Akatsuki would come out, but just more blood oozed out and crystalized again, only making the crystal bigger. Sometimes, it would just crack leak a bit, but sometimes it would burst in a small area, gushing blood.
The blood crystalized in the air, making a bizarre crystal formation. Lilulana was really worried, even after crystalizing, the blood still had a strong stench. Even if she could feel Akatsuki’s life force pulsating inside the crystal, he wasn’t moving.
She wanted to touch the crystal, but hesitated. She won’t be of any help if she gets stuck there as well. After hours, Yukari finally wakes up. She immediately jumps to the crystal, but Lilulana holds her by wrapping her waist with her arms.
(Yukari): “Get your hands off me! I have to save Master!”
(Lilulana): “Yukari! Calm down! You won’t be of any help to darling if that crystal sucks you too!”
After trashing for some time, Yukari falls on her knees, crying. Lilulana also wants to cry. If whatever happened to him made Yukari like this, then it was something grave. However, she must persevere through this!
She grabs Yukari’s shoulders and shakes her, getting her attention and screaming:
(Lilulana): “Hold it together Yukari! He’s still alive!”
Hearing that, new light comes to Yukari’s eyes. She looks at the crystal, with tears in her eyes. She looks at Lilulana and says:
(Yukari): “We HAVE to protect Master! We MUST help him!”
(Lilulana): “I know, Yukari, but now we can’t do anything! We don’t know what that crystal is, so we must discover how it works first.”
She said. Yukari nodded, wiping out her face and getting up. She looked at the crystal with a heavy feeling. Lilulana hugged her from behind and said:
(Lilulana): “We will save him, don’t worry.”
She said, holding back her tears. They have a long way ahead, although they are not aware.

Eventually, they discovered that they could touch the crystal without any problem, it didn’t do anything. However, it never stopped growing, and it grew fast. After a few years, it was visible from the horizon, the bursts of blood turning even greater, creating formation that looked like branches.
They stayed there for twenty years, waiting and investigating. Also, they discovered that it wasn’t Lilulana’s impression that the Forbidden Continent turned smaller. It has turned to the size of the other continents, and they believe that it’s related to the sphere that Akatsuki found, the one that Yukari saw him touching.
The Uchiha siblings also didn’t knew anything. They got there in the next day that Lilulana got there. Their eyes that they gave to Akatsuki stayed on his pattern, although they could deactivate the Sharingan. They tried to use they Sharingan to look through the crystal, but they couldn’t.
The crystal blocked anything that tried to peek inside and any kind of magic and Spirit Arts. They also couldn’t break it no matter what they tried. Their only option was to wait. After a hundred years, while Yukari is sitting below the giant tree-like crystal, with Lilulana by her side, heard a sound like an explosion.
Looking up, they saw a giant burst of blood, that crystalized quickly. However, what surprised them is that a large branch, around the size of a bus, fell down and crashed on the ground not too far from them. they looked at it surprised.
Since the crystal appeared, it never broke of let any piece fall. Even when it bursts, it’s just a crack that opens when the gushing blood comes out. they couldn’t collect a sample while liquid either. They approached the fallen chunk, touching it.
They felt something from it, but it was too weak. It still had the presence of Akatsuki, while still smell of his blood. Eventually, the crystal turned completely black from the years, like the liquid that they doubt that’s blood coming out from the crystal from time to time.
(Lilulana): “There is something off about this crystal, but I can’t figure out.”
(Yukari): “I can feel Master’s will from it, but it’s really faint… I guess that we are too strong to be influenced by it.”

(Lilulana): “Do you want to give it to a weaker being to test it?”
(Yukari): “We could do this, but let’s test the properties of the crystal first. We can’t just give everything to the weaker races.”
(Lilulana): “Yes. This might give us an insight in how to release darling from the crystal.”
(Yukari): “Yes.”
They talk, and then they start testing. First, they try to break a part of it. and goddammit, the thing is tough, almost impossible to believe that something that tough exists. They barely are able to break it by cooperating, taking out a good chunk of it.
Yukari, with the material in hands, absorbed it in her body, and started to analyze it. Lilulana, already knowing Yukari’s nature, asked:
(Lilulana): “How long it will take?”
(Yukari): “Few minutes. But this is impressive, even while I’m strong enough to resist its effects, I can still feel it trying make me seek this place…”
(Lilulana): “So do you think that it will be a bad idea let it loose in the world? It may start making people come here…”
(Yukari): “No, it will be the best idea. By attracting someone strong enough to reach here, we could do some brainwashing on them. they will be good subordinates for Master when he comes out. if they are strong enough to get here, they surely will be useful.”
She said. After Akatsuki got the black sphere, the continent changed. It only didn’t shrink, the monsters also mostly disappeared. The bizarre creatures also disappeared, leaving behind one the “weal ones”. Well, they are still strong enough to be a challenge to dragons and demons, but still weaker than the ones that Akatsuki hunted.
After a few minutes, Yukari finished analyzing the crystal.
(Yukari): “It’s highly magical, more than anything that I ever saw in my whole life. It also has some metal mixed to it, and the properties of the crystal allow it to be molten and forged. We could use this to make some ingots and give it to some master smiths.”
(Lilulana): “Let’s do that.”
They decided. After a quick discussion, they decided to leave a few ingots where they are sure that they will be found, in all the continents. After the decision, Yukari, using fire magic, melts the crystal inside her body after gathering more of it.
However, the temperature needed to melt the crystal was absurd, and there will be few living beings that can melt and forge the new alloy. Yukari was certain that the dwarves could do it, but only their most supreme master, as well the dragons.
Maybe the demons, but definitely not the humans and elves. After discussing the plan with Lilulana, and after transforming the whole branch in ingots, se teleports back to the human continent while Lilulana stays behind to keep an eye at Akatsuki.
Their plan worked, and they found out a lot of things, but these aren’t for this moment. Eventually, with their plan, they created a whole new race around the crystal, being called the Tree of God’s Blood.
Also, with the monsters weakened, and with the continent smaller, campaigns from the demons managed to dive deeper in the continent, eventually reaching the center. Not only them, humans, elves, dwarves, dragon, almost every race found a way to enter the continent and try to reach the center after the earthquake that hit the whole world at the same time.
And then, they found the giant tree, but never were able to climb its natural wall, eventually calling it Blackstone Tree.
Lilulana and Yukari, with the help of the Uchiha siblings, managed the society that formed on the walls, like a vertical city, a unique sight. Of course, the city, now named by the outsiders as Blackstone City, had its houses and stores built stuck to the walls with ramps and bridges connecting everything.
Secluded, it’s citizens are highly aggressive to invaders, and almost never come down from their city, shooting black arrows that can pierce even the toughest dragon scale, reaching the highest clouds, flying farther than any ballista or any elven bow could fire.
They are a fearful force, and not even the demons dare to mess up with them. And then, a thousand years later, the demons are almost destroying the humanity. in their most desperate atempt, they summon heroes from another world.

Legend of the Seven
Humans were cast out of Eden for committing the original sin. Now Seven will answer, should Humanity live forever? But first, join Team Six in their rescue mission turned daring prison break from death. Author's Corner: Welcome to the Legend of the Seven series #LOTSseries, my Guardians. This is my first novel turned webnovel. I'm returning to this fictional world after a 6-year hiatus with a lot of personal growth and insight. Insights gained from being a lifetime reader.I was the kid who read Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. I was the new adult who read I Shall Seal the Heavens and Ark. I've lost count of how many fictional worlds I've visited and lived through for I grew up on western novels but discovered eastern novels in my college years. This is my attempt to marry those two literary styles. It's my hope that this journey becomes more than just a book. If you're reading this simply expecting an ego power trip then turn back. There'll be action but with a lot of metaphysics and discussion on life with its accompanying issues. I strive to ground and make this webnovel relatable with verisimilitude. This webnovel is about choice. Freewill and its consequences. I give my characters autonomy to do and be themselves which sometimes leads to me rewriting and replotting because of pleasant surprises from my characters. Even the character who dies within the chapter they are introduced can have a massive impact with several ripples. So, there'll be stories on love and loss, hope and despair, but most importantly, it'll be a story. Release schedule: M, W, F - I aim for afternoon (1pm to 6pm) MST. I'm working on a project, codenamed "Guides' Sanctum", to make LOTSseries even more alive with special voice-overs, extra stories, behind the scene stuff, and so much more. But it can only come online when certain benchmarks are reached. The listed goals will help us get there. Saga of the Jewels VOLUME ONE COMPLETE
Prefer to listen to rather than read Saga of the Jewels? I'm also releasing it as a free audibook serial podcast on iTunes here! Epic YA JRPG-influenced GameLit progression ensemble-cast steampunk romance fantasy! When Ryn’s hometown is destroyed, will he be able to gather together the twelve Primeval Jewels in order to defeat the evil Emperor and save the world of Mid? A fan novelization of an amazing Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist, that currently releases at least one chapter a month. Epic in that this will be very long. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint!” (-Kandaj) YA in that this should be enjoyable to~13-year-olds and upwards. Some gore, some swearing, some sex, but nothing more than PG-13. JRPG-influenced / GameLit in that it uses lots of JRPG tropes, particularly from Final Fantasy. I’ve read a lot of fan Final Fantasy novelisations and you can basically think of this as a fan novelisation of its own Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist as a game... Progression in that the characters level up over time (though not with visible litrpg stat boxes). They grow in ability through training and experience, gain new skills, individually and as a party (think Chrono Trigger) and spend time discussing and stratgeising about how to defeat their opponents. Main protagonist from book three would definitely be able to defeat himself from book one! Ensemble-cast because we've got quite the roster of misfits here. The first volume is all from the main protagonist's POV, but it starts dancing between his and different POVs thereafter. Steampunk in that we’ve also got airships, steam trains, pistols and ambiguous ‘amber bars’ that function a bit like artificial lights… Romance in that there is lots of shipping here, a few love triangles, and you may be kept guessing as to who will actually end up together... Fantasy in that we’re in a vaguely pre-modern setting. We’ve got swords, magic, dragons, dungeons, monsters, all that good stuff. * "This story captures that Final Fantasy quality perfectly. Kiddy but also grim. The characters are great... Severely underrated and needs more favorites/follows. I look forward to seeing how this story will unfold." -Gilgamesh9999 "Starting at the end and jumping backwards is not a writing style seen every day. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but you've executed a fairly crazy idea very skillfully so far. Overall, a strong start to what could be a very strong story." -RandomFF.netUser "You definitely have my interest piqued. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes... It definitely has an 'old school Final Fantasy' type feel to it, which I appreciate...Good job! I am glad you are going into more details about the story you laid out in the prologue...of course the big burning question is 'You know they lose in the the first chapter, so how will they end up winning?' That of course, is the story you're writing...so we'll see how it goes! #Following." -KyleQuicksilver (quotes are from reviews on other sites) * If you enjoy it, don’t forget to boost Saga of the Jewels on topwebfiction.com! Falling Through the Cracks
After falling through a rather unexpected crack in the universe that spawned under his bed, Alex finds himself in a world filled with monsters and magic. Now instead of worrying about SATs and college applications, he only has demons, magic and rips though the very fabric of the universe to occupy his mind. Quite a bit easier in his opinion. This story has abuse, trama and brushes breifly on suicide. I`ll try to include warnings on chapters that deal heavily in any of those. I’m also a very new writer, so please let me know of any mistakes you see! Updates Mondays and Thursdays Image credit: Credit: NASA, JPL-Caltech/S.
