(Akatsuki’s POV)
(Lilulana): “Keep your eyes closed, and focus.”
She said. I’m sitting inside the cave, with my legs crossed and eyes closed.
(Lilulana): “What do you see?”
(Akatsuki): “……… Rain… it’s raining…”
I see a vision on my head. Raining… strange, it shouldn’t be raining… why?
(Lilulana): “Why is it raining?”
(Akatsuki): “I don’t know. It shouldn’t be raining…”
(Lilulana): “Why?”
(Akatsuki): “I couldn’t see it. I couldn’t see the rain coming. It just started to fall…”
(Lilulana): “Do you like the rain?”
(Akatsuki): “No.”
(Lilulana): “Why you don’t like the rain?”
(Akatsuki): “Because it soaks my wings, and I can’t fly.”
Suddenly, a strong headache hits me, making me lose my focus. I hold my head.
(Akatsuki): “Argh, it hurts! When you spoke about spirit arts, I didn’t think that it would be this hard…”
(Lilulana): “Well, I didn’t say that it was easy either.”
(Akatsuki): “Don’t worry about it. I have time and patience.”
We are inside the cave, sitting down on our pelt beds. It’s night, and has been two days since she got here.
(Lilulana): “Hey, Akatsuki.”
(Akatsuki): “Yeah?”
(Lilulana): “Where you got those red eyes? That power?”
(Akatsuki): “Why do you want to know it?”
(Lilulana): “it’s because I fought two users of those eyes once, and I couldn’t win. I was wondering if I could get that kind of power as well.”
(Akatsuki): “Ah, you must have faced Shino and Shina.”
(Lilulana): “So you know them…”
(Akatsuki): “Of course I do. I’m their teacher after all.”
She made a surprised face and I could feel a bit of fear coming from her.
(Lilulana): “Geh! You’re their teacher?!”
(Akatsuki): “Yeah. Don’t worry. I’m not mad at you.”

She sighted in relief.
(Lilulana): “Sorry for that. We had a small conflict, and ended up fighting, it’s not like we are enemies or something like that.”
(Akatsuki): “Don’t worry about that. I’m relieved in knowing that they both are fine. But I hope that you guys get along next time, ok?”
(Lilulana): “Yeah!”
(Akatsuki): “Haha. Anyway, that eye power isn’t something that I can teach you. The condition for it is special, so you won’t be able to acquire this eye power.”
(Lilulana): “So they weren’t users after all…”
(Akatsuki): “Yeah. It’s something exclusive for me and them. Well, you will most likely to go out from here more powerful than them.”
(Lilulana): “Thanks.”
(Akatsuki): “Don’t worry. Anyway, can you explain for me what are those visions again?”
(Lilulana): “Alright. When you focus inside you own, you will see a vision that shows you your essence. This will be the star of your spirit art. When you can see the whole vision, and understand, you must accept these feeling and they will make your spirit art.”
(Akatsuki): “Although it looks simple, it’s extremely hard to do. The pain that comes together with the vision…”
(Lilulana): “Yeah. I went through a lot before being able to unlock it. Anyway, the key is to persist. You want to talk about our vision?”
(Akatsuki): “… Sorry, it’s a bit personal.”
She smiles.
(Lilulana): “Don’t worry, the visions are certainly something that only has a real meaning for those close to the people and the person itself. Even if I’m helping you with your vision, I can’t understand a thing.”
I smile to her.
(Akatsuki): “Thanks. Go sleep, I’ll be sure to tire you out tomorrow as well.”
(Lilulana): “GUH! I-I-I’m counting on you.”

She says, trembling a bit. The Uchiha siblings had the same reaction. She lays down to sleep, and so do I. she falls asleep in the moment her head touches the pelts. I stay awake, thinking about the vision.
The rain. I couldn’t feel it coming, it soaks my wings, stopping me from flying, huh. I close my eyes, and sleep.
(the next day, night, after training)
I sit again, focusing on my vision.
(Lilulana): “What do you see?”
(Akatsuki): “It’s the rain again… I couldn’t see it coming…”
(Lilulana): “Does it still soaks your wings?”
(Akatsuki): “Yeah. I can’t fly.”
(Lilulana): “Do you want to fly?”
(Akatsuki): “Yeah, I want fly back to my nest.”
(Lilulana): “Where are you right now?”
(Akatsuki): “A cage.”
(Lilulana): “What kind of cage?”
(Akatsuki): “A bird cage.”
(Lilulana): “What do you feel?”
(Akatsuki): “Fear.”
(Lilulana): “What do you fear?”
(Akatsuki): “The rain. I can’t predict it.”
(Lilulana): “There are others with you? Other birds?”
(Akatsuki): “No, I’m alone. The other birds aren’t here right now.”
Then, my vision ended, and I woke up from that state.
(Akatsuki): “It’s over, that was my vision.”
She smiled to me.
(Lilulana): “That’s great! Now you only need to understand you own vision! Tell me when you spirit mark shows up!”
(Akatsuki): “My what?”
She smiles and take of her jacked, turning her back to my direction. From the base of her back, the tattoo of a rose stalk full of thorns grows, dividing itself in six “branches”, which in three of them three roses are in full bloom while the others are empty. Those three roses are white, blue and black roses.
(Lilulana): “When your spirit arts awake, they will give you a Spirit Mark, that brands you as spirit arts user. Mine are these roses, since that’s what my powers are related at. I’m curious to see what your mark will be.”
(Akatsuki): “Me too.”
She goes to sleep, and I lay down again, thinking about the vision.
A lonely bird, that’s afraid if a rain that it couldn’t predict, stuck on a cage with soaked wings, craving for the other birds. The bird is literally me. When the vision ended, I was sure of it. It’s my situation, afraid of the future, the rain that I couldn’t predict.
I was a swallow that couldn’t predict the rain. I’m afraid of the day when the barrier goes down and I will be able to meet my friends again. Will they still accept me even though I became like this?
This cage, this continent. I really want to get out from here. See the world again, and be free from this cage that is this world, and soar the skies of my world again.
My soaked wings, the fear that the rain pours on me, making me afraid of flying again. The fear of the unknown future, making me unable to go back to my nest, my friends and family, as well my world.
But… these are just my actual feelings, that I have accepted and the feeling that I have right now. I don’t need a mystical vision to tell me this. So why I had this kind of visions? Wondering this, I went to sleep, thinking about my vision.

How the Stars Turned Red
Announcement as of 05 July 2022: I've been diagnosed with some pretty severe nerve damage in my left arm, rendering me unable to write effectively, and as such this story is on hold until it is healed. I am so sorry, and I promise to get back to writing as soon as possible. In the latter half of the 3rd millennium CE, humanity has spread across the stars, inhabiting close to five-hundred worlds across the Orion Arm. Earth has become irrelevant, a historical has-been. The galactic map is dominated by two mega-factions, both controlling vast amounts of territories either through direct control or through their many allies and treaty signatories. The Kingdom of Aurora is the political and economic hegemon despite consisting of only seven inhabited worlds; their strength lies in the Royal Union, an interstellar commonwealth composing an internal market and a common defence pact. These member worlds are myriad and varied, culturally as well as politically, but they all flock to the same banner. The Independent Systems Alliance, spearheaded by the Republic of Elysium, is the ascendant challenger to Aurora and the Union. A pseudo-federal multi-system polity, the Alliance economy and military is rapidly expanding, but at the cost of effective democratic and meritocratic involvement by its people. However, with two superpowers as this, chafing along a common border, and with a constant clamour of polemics, both sides have become convinced the other is constantly preparing for war and are on the look-out for any perceived weakness in their opponent. The predictable result is a huge arms race and a cold war spreading across the stars, requiring only a spark to set the galaxy aflame. Drawn into this game of high stakes are ordinary men and women, their peaceful lives, hopes, and aspirations swallowed by the vortex of conflict and distrust. This is their story. Cover art by Rhodex Designs (FB). Hope you like long chapters and adjectives. Note: English is not my first language. Another story set in the same universe, written by a good friend

Hero
Kuren is just your average boy. He's just been asleep for one thousand years. Heroes and grand epics. Kuren doesn't have the time to think about things like that, nor does he really care. Join Kuren as he wanders the fantasy land of Alurca in search of his lost memories and the reasons behind his lengthy slumber. This is sort of a reboot of Anomaly, the first novel I tried to write. I gave up Anomaly after going to college. I thought about going back to it, but... when I look at it now, it's not very good. It was very edgy and not much substance behind that edge. The story wasn't quite going anywhere since I hadn't given the main character a goal. I had planned out a story, but I forgot to to plan out the details between the beginning and end. So this one's for real. Hopefully you won't be disappointed.
