《The Making of a God Slayer》Chapter 4: New Companion

(1.710 years until the summoning day, Akatsuki's POV)
90 years. It has been already 90 years, and I've already surpassed the normal lifespan of a human...
Well, not that I have something against it, though. I jump and spin in the air, throwing a cutting wave of energy in the direction of the dragon, cutting off one of its wings, making it roar in pain. I land on the ground and jump forward, kicking the belly of the dragon. Oh, I felt the scales crack this time! Seriously, dragon scales are a real bother. They're very hard to break.
Taking the chance, I begin a fast sequence of straight punches and kicks, destroying the body of the dragon. Blood begins to flow. The dragon roars again and tries to bite me. I move energy to my feet and use it to jump while in the air, avoiding the dragon's mouth. Oh, and it's a giant ass one at it. I mean, he's around 70 meters tall and is more than 300 meters long.
No, I didn’t go to face this guy, he came to me. I was on my new mountain, resting a bit when this bitch came trying to kill me. So I decided to kick its ass and sent it back to the hole from where it came. Well, it was my original plan, but this thing is incredibly persistent. So I have no option besides killing it for good.
I jump again, getting to the side of its head. Then, I charge a large amount of energy on my right leg and kick it, cracking its scales and stunning it. Dammit, I've become a real monster...
Facing something like this 30 years ago would be suicide, but now, it's easy peasy. I spun in the air, gathering energy on my leg and did a drop kick to the dragon's neck, decapitating it. Phew, time to skin it and eat.

Again, I repeated the boring process of taking out the organs, bones, meat and core. I ate the core without thinking twice. It's big, alright, around two meters tall and one and half meters of diameter. Small for the size of the dragon, actually. I killed smaller creatures that had a bigger core. Well, if it's smaller than normal, it must mean that has a better quality.
It quite a common pattern around here. I'm still far from the core of the continent, but that's not a problem. I still have time to get stronger.
After eating, I go back to my mountain to sleep a bit.
(1.700 years until the day of the summoning, AkatsukI's POV)
A hundred years already. Well, I'm not bored, though, since the frequency that the monsters are coming to challenge me has become ridiculously high. Anyway, I'm stronger now, since I've been eating a lot of cores everyday. Today isn't different. I'm sitting on a stone while enjoying the last bits of a core that I took from an enormous, winged tiger.
It's quite tasty. Also, in those last years, I've become better at manipulating the nature. I can make wood grow from the ground even if there isn't any wood or land around. I'm quite happy, actually. It means that my revenge is closer. Suddenly, I feel something coming from behind me. I look over my shoulder. Well, "look" isn't the right word, I just turned my head by instinct.
I can clearly "see" what is following me even without turning around. Oh, it's a slime. Well, the only thing that I can see is a semi-transparent blob of jelly, so I think that's a slime. It has been following me since the last month, scavenging the organs of the monsters that I don't eat. What does it want? I can still feel that some pieces of the organs of the tiger floating inside it.

it's not big, around one and half meter in diameter and one meter high. Every slime that I saw before died in less than one month, so I guess that this guy is quite lucky? It slowly comes near me and spit something at my feet. What is this? I bent over and touch it. With my powers, I have an absurd perception, to the point that if I touch a living creature, I can feel what they are feeling, like what happened with me and the goddess at the beach.
I touch what the slime spat at my feet. Oh, it's a metal. It's filled with energy that's the same as mine. Every metal that I saw before had mana inside it, so was useless to me. With this, I may be able to do something useful. I grip it with the tips of my fingers with all my strength. Dammit, it's not breaking... wow! I found something useful for real! I'll probably be able to make a good sword with this!
Every sword that I made before was useless, since the metal was weak and broke after some use. I look at the slime. It's waiting near me. I extend my free hand and touch it. Oh, it's a bit afraid. Also, it seems that the slime wants to serve me. Alright, no problem, having a slime can be useful one day. I channel some feelings to him, making him understand that I will allow him to serve me.
He trembled with happiness. Kuku, how cute.
