《The Toys of the Fool》Vol.4 Epilogue - The End of a 6 Month Trip

“Right. We're finally here after 6 months of travel” said Viv when they began to get nearer to a large city that was located on open plains with a large river crossing it's side.
“Lily City, one of the larger and more rich city in the game.”
“Wow...”
The group looking at the city even from afar knew that it was extremely beautiful. It was a mixture of white and green with the city being separated into two levels...on near the roots and one on amongst the trees.
It was a city that was built around a giant tree that was hundreds of metres large. It resembled more of an elf city than a human one.
“How did they build it? And how strong must the wood be to support all of that weight?” Miriel wondered.
“Ah, that tree is artificial you know. It's made of a certain magic stone that closely resembles wood. A very interesting material to use and the architects were very happy to work with it in the making of this city” Viv explained.
“Anyway since we're here, I should release you all from your seals.”
A flicker with his staff and the marks on Serena and Miriel's wrist disappeared.
Viv then threw Lyndis her sword but said to Raven, “Unfortunately I don't have a spare shield to give you since your one broke. However you are near the level to use that shield you have brought before. Hopefully it isn't too much trouble to just use a spear a little longer.”
“New shield” Raven said holding up the shield that the death knight used. While it's defence was for the most part weaker, it was still a good shield to use as a substitute at least.
Raven nodded in response. It looked like he had gotten over it already.

'It's good to see that he's a bit more cheerful than before...'
“Anyway make sure to continue practising your skills. Don't be an Eden and not do anything for months only to realise that your friends are much stronger than you know and are forcing you to train” advised Viv.
“Did that really happen?” asked Lyndis with a laugh. Considering that something that lasted 6 months was about to end, she was as expected cheerful.
“Oh yeah, where are we going from now on?” asked Sain, “The trip here is about to end but we still have no idea what to do next.”
“Hmm...”
Viv thought about it.
“Well that's for Alena to decide.”
“Who's Alena?”
“Someone important to the guild. A branch manager if you will...she will fill you up with what to know later on. But for now...enjoy the scene before you” Viv said relaxing.
Seeing the city, Sain strangely had a calm feeling about everything, like it was going to be fine.

Elsewhere....at a place that no living creature would currently dare to come near.
A man marched alone donned with pure white armour and a sword sheathed in gold that glowed with hope and dreams.
Click Click Click...
The man who had the greatest resolve continued to walk...to the centre of continent from a faraway land that no longer exist except in history and legends.
Click Click Click...
However the man who with his old age and white hair stopped. He touched his large scar on his face, made from the strike from his own child and looked...to the one who stopped him.
“Yo oh fallen king” this other person said. With black hair and a figure of a woman...despite being a man in all but name, great power poured out of his very existence.

“You are?” the man asked taking a stance to draw his sword.
The other person laughed and said, “I'm Eden, no need to be so stiff! I'm not going to hurt you...yet.”
The man felt a pressure unlike he had...no, he had felt this kind of pressure before in his younger days. The pressure of a dragon. Like a rabbit to be caught by prey, that was the kind of feeling he was still having despite being so old and yet so far from being mere prey.
“You stop me?” the man asked.
“Yes I will stop you no matter what” said Eden, “I will make sure the Trial of the Emperor will be finished smoothly. That was what I was requested by that stubborn and cheap man after all. Plus now he owes me a favour!”
Eden laughed at the idea of Weed owing him one which caused the man to have even more tension as he knew not when to draw and strike. To be in the mist of battle and yet acting like this...and still giving off no openings was certainly impressive.
“Get out of my way or be struck down” said the man no longer willing to deal with this kind of conversation.
He draw his sword to revealed a silvery white sword with great power.
“Ohhh....so this is the famed sword of legend. Excalibur, the sword of promised victory and the sword of the King of Knights...well former King of Knights now isn't it? Or should I call you the King of Ghosts now?” said Eden flapping his mouth off.
“You...”
The man swintered his eyes onto Eden. He thought that this being needed to be slain if he knew that much. A new kingdom needed to be formed and can only be revealed when he had enough numbers.
“Will die here...”
The man let out all of his battle instincts and pressure from his body at once and so did Eden to a lesser extent.
“Hmp! Not much of a talker eh, Dragonic Release!” said Eden giving off the illusion that a great dragon was in front of the man with the sheer quantity of power coming from his body.
The man's battle aura activated while Eden's body was covered in blue flames were could devour even souls.
“Come! And fall beneath my resolve Dragon!”
“Don't think I will spare even ashes when I'm done with you!”
The man's blade and Eden's flames clashed with each other.
BANG!
The two clashed with everything on the line.
The Trial of the Emperor is only just beginning...
The once yet Warrior King had yet to descend onto the world...
To plunge the new Emperor and his kingdom into chaos...

Dream of the Abyss
Elisa Mary Grant died in a hospital bed after being stuck in it for six months, and like any other, her soul drifted away from her husk when she passed. For her, death was a release. It merely meant that she no longer have to wake up in pain, breathing through tubes and have doctors flood her veins with dubious chemicals for “experimental treatment”. Free from her mortal constraints and useless body, she felt… at peace, serene, even. Death is bliss, after all, when objectively living sucked to the point of extreme. Therefore, there was no reason to mourn at all and she knew she definitely didn't. ... That was until, on her way for a proper reincarnation, she found herself rudely interrupted and left stranded in the great NoWhere. “Wonderful,” she remarked as she floated in the [Beyond], “Just when I thought that suicide is the answer.” Author's note: Updates every Tuesday-Wednesday, probably some time in between. ... P.S Notes: Contains existential questions and nihilistic themes, rather philosophical. Will be rather sluggish until the MC gets her shit together. P.SS Notes: Story takes time to develop. And maybe uncomfortable. It's not gonna be action-packed or filled with battles, I think. Anyway, it is kinda unusual. P. SSS Notes: It is not LitRpg. Don't be fooled.

Travelers [DROPPED]
DROPPED. The story focuses less on dungeon building than on the why of dungeons and how they fit into the universal order. While I am working from a grand plot, the writing is going slice of life style because I need to do that to work out how things progress into that grand plot. The original story seed idea / synopsis is below. The Grand Tapestry protects Rhofhir from Primal Chaos by imposing Order via patterns. However, the patterns grow stiff, stagnant, and so the Tapestry is nearing a time of Unraveling. Evidence of past civilizations wiped out during previous Unravelings foreshadow the apocalyptic catastrophe looming over the world. The mages of the Arcane Asylum reach out across dimensions, searching for some way to prevent, or at least stall, the coming Unraveling. Among the many voices they find is a gifted graduate student researching machine-assisted telepathy -- and his gaming group. Lena never expected that the chance to play DnD with telepathy would result in her becoming an actual Dungeon Master, nor that her friends could become the bosses of her dungeon. This is, in many ways, her dream come true, but there's a catch: What happened to Brad, the creator of that telepathy machine?

Where Giants Fall
A fantasy LitRPG about traversing through worlds and slaying giants with nothing but a wooden suit and an army of treants. Nicholas Atkins didn't expect to wake up naked in the glowing woods. What he did expect was waking up to a hangover after last night's party- fortunately, that wasn't the case. Unfortunately though, he had worse problems to take care of than a headache. At first he blamed it on the alcohol; from what he recalled in Biology, glowing flowers didn't exactly exist in the realm of reality. However he was as sober as he could be, so next he blamed the drugs, but there was a problem- he didn't have the money to do drugs in the first place. When the fairies came, things became even weirder. Talks of climbing towers, magic tricks, and dinner were all on the table. Of course, dinner was the priority, but so was getting back home. However slowly, Nico realized that he might actually want to stay in this fantasy world. After all, he's had enough listening to Professor Paul's lecture on calculus- the swords and sorceries were just an added bonus. Still, staying in this new world has its own costs- and money is but one thing on that long, long list. Updated everyday except Saturday GMT+8 (Specific time varies by around 30 minutes). Star Wars Episode 7: A Corpse Through Which the Force Speaks
The fall of the Empire heralds dark times for humanity. As the New Republic concedes much of the galaxy to alien rule, a group of special forces stormtroopers must find a way to survive the "new normal". This fanfiction sets an alternate course of events in response to general dissatisfaction with the sequel trilogy. In terms of continuity, this story only takes into account the events of the first six movies and Rogue One. Please note: This story comes from the school of thought that the purpose of art is to provoke thought, rather than distract us from reality. I hope that the disturbing parts of this story do just that! This story is COMPLETE.
