《Ragnarök》Chapter 41 : Death's Busy Day.

Anddddd everywhere was complete chaos yet again
After Loki killed Freyja, all the valkyries disappeared because they were unsummoned back to the Valhalla. Now the fight was overwhelmingly in our favour. Their lead summoner was gone while we were able to keep up the massive amount of monsters as well as Carnivalists to pressure the other side. The basic rule of war is “Numbers will always win.”
However, the fight wasn't going to end just like that. The skies split open again and this time, more valkyries, most of which were of an even higher level came from the heavens yet again. I looked over to Cheeballs who was Freyja's disciple. No. She wasn't the one summoning the Valkyries. Nope. Horse was directly behind her now with two knives getting ready to rip apart her throat and any other part of her body. I said a quick prayer for her. I tried to identify where the mana was coming from and I found it shortly after my vision went majorly red with blood splurting out from another headless body.
Genesis.
Plus with the ring he had, his summons would be unable to switch factions. Beathoven had a song that could take ownership of other people's summons but they would not work on this guy. I could not even drain his mana because of that stupid ring of his. I had to think fast.
-Meanwhile-
Soup was in a complete rage because of Fenrir's death a moment ago. He was thrashing around in his giga form which was the same size as the gods now. Units near him instantly died now whenever he as much as touched him and he just wanted blood. Especially Morgan The Strong's blood.
Macaroni was extremely concerned about Soup so she quickly ran over to him lest he does somethign stupid in his fury.
Soup was finding his way towards Morgan The Strong but someone stood in his way. MidandFeed
“Move. I have no business with you.” He said.
“Yes you do. Morgan is my best brother. I love him. Thou shall die at my hands.” MidandFeed said.
“You do realise what you just said can come across as a little, no. Very gay right?” Soup replied.
“We have spent countless nights together there is nothing stronger than our bond.”
“Bondage you mean.... But I'm not gonna let you tie me up. Nuh uh. You're going down.”
Soup charged at him instantly, using all the buffs he had including howl which meant that he had a whopping plus 1300% attack rating or something now.
Midandfeed swung his blade at Soup in an attempt to counter and before the blade made contact with his throat, Soup equipped his wolf form armour which made him look like a machina concept badass wolf sent to destroy earth from outer space or something.
The blade stopped in it's path and Soup swiped his front claw across Midandfeed's face.
“NEIN! MAI BEAUUUTIFUL FACE! What if Moggy doesn't love me no more... NEIN! You big big smelly pussy I'll rape you.” Midandfeed said.
My god how fucked up can this guy get.
But then the blade changed. It grew longer, sharper, more menacing and exuded an aura alot more threatening.
MidandFeed was a blade master and this was no ordinary blade. This was Freyr's magical blade that had a life of it's own.
Freyr was watching from a distance and he finally came to join the fight, after seeing his disciple getting five straight lines drew neatly across his face that made him look kinda like those picture books where you can flip different rows of the book to change how a face looks.

“You're strong. You're a threat. You're going down.” Freyr said as he stepped towards Soup with MidandFeed.
“Did someone say down?” A voice appeared all of a sudden from directly above Freyr. A huge flaming fireball of chaos and devastation slammed his fists down on Freyr's head.
“Master!” Shouted Macaroni.
“I could feel your troubles disciple. I'll handle the god. You two, take down this gay son of a bitch.” Surtr said.
“I'm not gay! I'm bisexual. Your disciple is kinda hot though. AND MY MOMMA'S NOT A BITCH!” MidandFeed said before lunging at Soup.
Soup was expecting it so he was preparing to use his armour to parry the blow but the sword sliced neatly through the armour, drawing blood even though he was supposed to be protected.
“WHAT?!” Soup shouted in pain.
“Haha who's the female dog now~” Taunted MidandFeed.
“Are you alright???!” Macaroni asked Soup.
“Yeah I'm fine the cut wasn't deep. My Wolf's Regeneration will heal this up in seconds. However now we have a problem. He can slice through my armour like it's nothing.” Soup said.
“It's alright I have an idea for that.” Macaroni said.
“Flame guard.” Macaroni said.
Soup's armour glowed for a few seconds before exploding into an inferno.
“WHAT? I DON'T LIKE FIRE HELLLOOO!” Soup shouted and frantically jumped around, trying to put out the flames before he realised.... The fire was lukewarm, kind of nice and rather energizing.
“Don't worry dear. This flame guard is a sacred spell passed on only to the people with relations to Surtr. It'll feel warm like a blanket on you but trust me. Anyone who is even 1km away from you will be able to feel the heat from this baby. It's perfect for close quarter combat which is the only thing you know how to do.” She said.
“Aww thanks. And I'm not your dear.” Soup said before he engaged on MidandFeed again.
-Back to Jinx-
It was an amazing sight to see. The Macaroni Soup combo. I was hungry just thinking about it.
A blazing fireball of a gigantic wolf was pouncing on a stupid gay faggot who could only keep screaming nein which was no in german due to some idiotic issues I guess and he got thoroughly raped by the combo. I mean. Fighting someone encased in an inferno in close quarters was pure torture. Plus I could vouch for the intensity of the fire mana in that spell. It was no joke. In some cases, mana purity can go higher than 100% and I'm pretty sure that was one of the cases. I could copy the spell but it's effectiveness would definitely not be anywhere close to that.
It just proves that if one just concentrated really hard, really really hard on one affinity to nature, he or she would eventually be able to exceed 100% of that affinity. In Surtr's disciple's case, it was obvious that she would be able to do it.
Meanwhile, the master himself was proving that his famed name which spread far and wide was not for show. He wasn't exactly a god with a church and followers and all that but he was known as a god. Even the higher gods like Odin and Freyja feared him and for good reason. He was treating Freyr like he was a 7 foot basketball player playing with a kid.
Freyr's swordplay was supposed to be the best in the world, legendary, mesmerizing and beautiful. But all I could see now is desperation, madeness and much, much, pain.

Surtr himself was enclosed in his own flame guard which was even more ridiculous than Macaroni's one. Close combat opponents would no doubt be losing thousands of hit points per second just by standing near him and the fact that Surtr was using his legendary sword, Infernal, which burnt as bright as the sun on it's own was of no help. Freyr lent his blade to MidandFeed which was now confiscated by Soup upon destruction of the poor faggot.
Surtr slowly burnt Freyr to the extent where his skin was already charred black in some places and it was amazing the he could even fend off another god which had a much better sword than him for so long. If I was the one fighting Surtr.. Well I'm pretty sure it would be over in seconds and Freyr had already lasted for minutes close to the hour. If he had his own magical blade, it could've been a different story but too bad. It wasn't. Soup was busy using his blade as his own personal toothpick now.
I looked at Genesis. He was still summoning valkyries from the skies to put us under pressure. I knew I had to stop him but engaging him on a one on one was reckless. If any of us died, we would be out for 24 real life hours. The fight would've been settled by then. Deep down I knew, this opponent wasn't the one to fight now. He was the last boss. He would always be the last one standing in our way. Despite wanting to fight, with my new title and skills, I had to make the correct decisions. My master also said right I was supposed to be the calm and composed one.
I teleported away from Genesis, deciding to leave him for the last where the remaining members would slowly whittle him down but with one douby in my mind.
Who would be the remaining members?
I looked at the remaining gods.
Odin was killed by Fenrir.
Magni was killed by Horse.
Skadi was killed by Me.
Njord was killed by Skadi. (LOL)
Freyja was killed by Loki.
Thor was killed by Jormungandr.
Freyr was killed by Surtr.
Then I realised.
HOLY SHIT ALL THEIR GODS ARE DEAD! WE WON BOYS
But then, reality struck. A blue bolt unlike the size of anything else I've seen struck down. It was like a pillar of lightning with the radius of a fucking gigantic tornado. And the target was definitely, Hel. I could only think of one possibility. Mjollnir.
I sensed where it was and saw the wielder, FireFireFire holding it high above his head, staring straight at the huge lightning bolt he summoned onto Hel.
All of us waited, waited for Hel to come out from the place which was now smoking heavily, saving herself by maybe summoning giants directly above her to thwart the blast but this was war. There would be casualties. And Hel just became one of the fatalities.
“NOOOOOOOOO!” Beathoven screamed in a ear piercing screech.
He looked towards FireFireFire with a look that I recognised as mine just three chapters ago.
Surtr was also unsummoned because Hel was now dead. Surtr was now bounded only to Beathoven since he would be the one inheriting the contracts she had. Which meant Beathoven now had the abilities Hel once had. The ability to summon the undead from her castle. The ability to summon Surtr indefinitely. If played right, I believed he could defeat FireFireFire easily. However, an angry man doesn't think clearly and everyone knows that. Beathoven used metamorphosis and this time, it was apparent that he clearly inherited something from Hel.
His metamorphosis now wasn't the same one that we saw moments ago. Instead of the demonlike form which was completely dark with horns and red eyes, it was something very very different. It was ironic really. He looked humanlike. He looked just like himself, wearing something similar to Hel's.
He was draped in a long black cloak, wearing a black and red shirt with black long pants, looking seemingly normal, just maybe a bit pale. But I could sense the amount of darkness aura coming out of him and it was no joke. To my mana intuition, Beathoven now was darker than any black thing that existed in the universe. He was like a black hole of dark mana.
He immediately shot a dark arrow made out of that mana at FireFireFire. Firecube (I'll use this now because it's easier to type fuck my friend's name it's so long) swiped it away with Mjollnir but apparently, even for Mjollnir, he had to parry the blow for about half a second which was ages in terms of combat time just to deflect the arrow. He had a shocked look on his face. Followed by his jaw dropping about maybe 3 inches from the ground when he saw what was coming next.
Beathoven shot 10 more arrows simultaneously at him.
Firecube had to turn tail and run, flying away while trying to throttle down the 10 dark arrows which now I realised were homing. Holy fack. Furthermore after that huge lightning bolt, he shouldn't have much strength, stamina nor mana left.
However, when all of us were preoccupied with what was happening between Firecube, Hel and Beathoven, something even more ridiculous was happening outside of our attention.
Genesis was making his move. And the first move was already a power play which needed balls the size of steel.
He went to engage Loki and Loki used Game on on him obviously but this time, it was not a long entertaining skirmish to the death.
“Old maid. 100%.”
“WAIT WHAT?! This is the first time someone went all in on the first game don't you want to test the water first? No one tests the water with both feet?” Loki said.
“I'm not testing the water alright. With you beneath my feet.”
Loki and Genesis played old maid. The rules were simple, have a deck of cards, remove the three queens and the last queen will be the old maid. Split the cards evenly between both of them and start laying down pairs. Then, each turn, one will take a card away from the other player and see if the card makes a pair with his own cards so he can place them down. Eventually, all of the cards will be paired except for the lone queen, the old maid. The player holding onto that card will lose the game.
Genesis identified that game as his sure win game simply becuase of that one annoying property of his. That fucked up ring of his. No one can take away anything that was his. And as the game was approaching till there were only three cards left, one on Loki, two on Genesis, Genesis declared that one card was his so due to the property of the ring, Loki could not take that card out of his hand. Abilities still worked in Game On mode. Just as Loki used shapeshift, he was unable to stop that ability of the ring. So he knew he would be taking the queen. And Genesis took the other card which was the pair.
Blue lightning struck Loki and sure enough, on his 101thgame, he lost.
All of us only noticed after the blue lightning crashed down on Loki and the TV screen showing the replay happened. By this time however, Beathoven annihilated Firecube already with he dark arrows as well as a teleport skill he inherited from Hel which only could be used in metamorphosis mode I guess.
Beathoven just raped the life out of Firecube by teleporting over the him, opening a dark portal directly underneath his feet which bound him to the portal. Kind of like a jail he was unable to escape from. Then, he let loose a barrage of dark arrows so strong and so fast that it was really an unpleasant sight to see. Only Horse was excited to see it and she was saying that it was one of the best kills she has ever seen to date. Death by impaled by hundreds of dark arrows. The corpse was a holey corpse. (Bad pun intended.)
While all that was happening, Trina which was Skadi's disciple was getting her ass handed to her by Macaroni which was obviously a bad mismatch. High purity ice mana versus extremely high purity fire mana. I can't even write about a situation that happened because lets face it. Macaroni just used Surtr's Infernal and killed the fuck out of Trina. Like she got fucked so bad I can't even think of a valid fight where Trina might have gotten a chance somewhere. Nope. She just got charred and burnt down like a level 100 Charizard fighting against a level 10 Swinub (My favourite ice type pokemon because it's so cute.) So as it was, all the gods were dead just as Ragnarök promised, the BOTs were still left standing, against Genesis. Just like I predicted.
Until just moments later, where his Gungnir pierces two people at once yet again. Beathoven and Macaroni.

A woman wakes up in a forest, naked, alone, and injured. She has nothing but a strange, black dagger and mysterious, floating, blue boxes to aid her. Can she find food and water? She doesn't even understand the language, yet. If you see any maths mistakes or strange story decisions, leave a comment and I will either fix it or consider changing it. This is also, essentially, a first draft. That means I will edit older chapters and nothing is final, including numbers. Any major changes are listed in the changelog below each chapter. Since this is a first draft, the start is noticably bad and inconsistent compared to the more recent chapters so you will have to endure that to get to the good stuff. The carnomancer
Jackson was but a normal american just looking to get by in life. unfortunately for him life had other plans as a terrorist bombing took place in the air port in london where he was getting off at. The resulting explosion killed him instantly, and now he has been reincarnated into the world of Rokna. In this new world of magic, monsters, and conflict join him under his new identity Adimir freelancer the adventurer half-elf as he seeks a way to live out an exciting life of researching new and creative ways of combining magic and science. But with a tyrannical empire beginning to prepare for a bloody war the signs of turmoil begin to loom on the horizon. Adimir will face numerous challenges. Both challenges to those native to this world, and against other people have come from earth. Author's comment: I'll be uprfont with you on the entire war thing that the description hints at. Yes it will eventually happen, and many of the strange and out of place things in the beginning will tie into that. Not that it will be explained until much later in the novel. In fact the first 100 or 200 chapters will be spent on the main character growing stronger as an adventurer before the entire war even begins to start rearing its ugly head. So for those eager for the war to kick off sorry, but there won't be a big explosive war so early. At least not with the empire (although if you read carefully you may be able to pick up signs of how close the war is with what happens in the story). But the wait (I hope) will be worth it as it will be diving into some of the stuff a otherworlder in a significant position of power could do with the right knowledge. With that little warning over with I hope you enjoy this novel of mine. Its my first actual attempt at writing a story for people to read so please keep that in mind. If you have any criticism please tell me. I'd love to read them and will be using them to help me in improving my writing quality as time goes on. Experience is the best teacher after all.
