Cindy(before arrival)

I sat there looking at the destruction.I figured when Ash didn't show he was planning to hide.I never thought he would fight back.Even if he did fight back this level of destruction is just ridicules!Did War toy with him?

I scan the graveyard and find some patches of blood.

"Arnarra can you find out whose blood this is?"I turn and ask one of the members of my new team.

Arnarra Arara is an elf.One of the many races hidden by the veil.At first I was surprised that elves were real,but then again when you find out that Santa Clause is the world's worst criminal when your 7 years old, its not that much of a stretch really.

I see Arnarra's eyes widen."Th-this blood...All of its War's!"She yells

My eyes almost pop out of their sockets.How?Ash actually hurt her!?He can't even take the Mega force without almost dying and yet he hurt War?

"To think he was strong enough to put up that much of a fight.This kitsune you wanted on the team must have been quite powerful."Arnarra says.

"Powerful!?Hell my mother can't even touch her let alone make her bleed.This kitsune must've used some tricks.It's too bad he is dead."Karzi our Nephilim says with a sigh.

"It'd be nice ta have another male on this team.I mean ya lass's are nice an all but men need ah drinkin partner."Garth Brittlestone our dwarf and last member chimes and looks about dejected.

"Sorry there were supposed to be more but not a lot of people on the other side of the veil are willing to trust War.We tried the vampires,weres,all of the fae,the drakonians,and demi-gods.At that point asking any others just wasn't worth it.We could tell that this team wasn't something they were happy about.Although we may get a Were panther.But its a girl as well so sorry again Garth."I say

He snorts a little and plays with his beard.He was a little down at the prospect of another woman on the team.Aren't most guys supposed to be happy to be surrounded by a bunch of beautiful girls?Then again he is married and from what I know dwarves are incredibly loyal to their mates.

I sigh and look at my team."Guys im going to have to go and tell his family."

They look at me in confusion but then Arnarra looks at me and speaks up."Are you sure?From what I can tell they most definitely will blame you.He also seems to have some pretty good connections.I mean Laverna herself came to his rescue along with what looks to be the last generations Laverna sisters.Even in the supernatural world they are top of the line thieves and from my clans intel its an entire family that is descended from the goddess herself.If thats the case they have been stealing for thousands of years.They must have some powerful artifacts that would most definitely kill you."

"Aye the elf speaks true lass.My clan fear them.No matter what security we setup that damn family is able to get away with our stuff.Me father had his favorite sword stolen by one of um."Garth says

I shook my head at them."From what I can tell he pulled a job with Laverna at the tower and he saved her.To repay the favor she helped him.When it comes to thieves none like to owe a debt."I tell them

At that they all nod their heads.

"Also Rogues family are good people.He himself was as well in his own way.He just got dealt a bad hand.I wanted him on this team to prove his potential but it seems he was truly against the idea."

"I don't think that was the problem."Karzi says

I look at her puzzled.

"She means that the lad was a man.He would rather die than be forced into slavery."Garth explains

"Slavery!?I had no intention of doing anything even remotely like that!"

Karzi,Garth,and Arnarra all share a look.Then Arnarra turns to me."We know your intentions were good but like it or not this is Wars team plain and simple.We all had a choice but honestly he didn't.War hates competition more than anything.When he took down the Mega Force at one tail he made himself a target.War most likely wanted to keep an eye on him to make sure his power didn't get to high to become a threat otherwise she would have just killed him."

"The crazed woman has done it before lass.She make sure no one gets strong enough to challenge her.If someone even get half her strength she keeps an eye.When they hit 3/4 they are stamped down with all her power.Tis the case with that prison ye heros had on the moon.She made sure that they lost all sanctions from the U.N. makeing absolutely sure they couldn't put anyone there that was too strong.If they convinced enough villains with thee right set o gifts then she be fucked."Garth says

I look at them in shock,then my face starts to pale at the realization.We are just War's puppets.Our real purpose will probably be to stop the rise of powers that could challenge her.

"I am going to go now."I take to the air and slowly fly toward Ash's house with tears in my eyes.

"Don't be sad.It's not something you can help.War is just that powerful."Arnarra catches up with me and says.

"Why are you comeing with and thanks?"

"Your welcome and I wish to meet this kitsune clan and offer my condolences."

"They aren't kitsune they are human."

She looks at me in shock."How is that possible!?Kitsune would never let their males get away like that!He must've been adopted."

"No I knew him for a while.Originally he was human,but when his powers awakened somehow he became a kitsune.Mysticism was working on it before he took her memories."

"My goddess he could manipulate the mind!?This kitsune was strange indeed.Its a good thing the others didn't come with otherwise their clans would be all over this."She says

We land at his house.I try to look inside but for some reason its blocked.Ash must've set up some protection of some kind.

I ring the door bell and wait.In less than a minute Ash's mom answers the door.

"Mrs.Falls I'm sorry to tell you this but your son has been killed by War."

When I heard that sentence immediately a plan formed in my mind.I turn to Cir and Lesley as they seem to be the best partners in crime.I put on a Cheshire smile."You two play along."The other girls look at me confused but Cir seems to get I want to do something while Lesley just smiles and sighs.

I use my illusion abilities and ignore the strain.I get up and look in the mirror and smile this will work.I made myself look exactly like a soul pure white and see through with a blue orb in the center.Not everyone's is blue but most are.Mine is multi-colored but Alita modified it to show the common type.

Then I go up behind mom and whisper in her ear.

"Play along ma"

After I said that Ash's mom goes quiet.She just stares at me and Arnarra.

"What do you mean my son is dead?"She asks her voice quivering.

"Mrs.Falls your son Ash was the super known as Rogue and today at the cemetery on the other side of town he fought with War and I don't need to tell how that went."I tell her gently

"If thats the case wheres his bo-body."Her voice starts to crack and there's tears in her eyes.

My heart starts to hurt.This woman obviously loves her son immensely.I have trouble responding.Arnarra seeing my struggle speaks up.

"Maam first let me offer my condolences.Im sorry to say as is much the case with War a body is rarely found and even if it is the body is beyond recognizable."

I see tears start to flow down her face and her hand on the door starts to tremble.I get ready to try and comfort her and offer my services in any way but my words immediately get stuck in my throat.As I see a white head with fluffy ears pop up behind her shoulder.

I stare at Cindy and I want to smile however I see she is not alone.Now im a little pissed she told someone who the fuck I was.I mean I know im supposed to be dead but come on!........Wait a minute is she....

Holy shit its an elf!She is a little short probably about 5^5 with short green hair that slightly covers her brown eyes.What drew the most attention though is she wasn't your typical washboard elf.No it was the opposite hers were comparable to Rhea's!She looked young probably 14-15 but if lore is even somewhat right she was probably much older.I mean I have a 1400 year old loli vampire in my house that looks like a young teen.

I have to stomp down my inner nerd as he was salivating at the prospect of an elf.Meeting gods,angels,kitsunes,vampires, and mages is one thing but every nerd needs to meet an elf its just a priority.

I see both of their shocked expressions then I loo at mom she seems to be playing her part well.

"Can you two please not upset my mother?"

Both their jaws drop upon hearing me.

"Yo-you are a-a"Cindy tries

"A ghost yea.What did you expect I did just fight War.Bitch is way to op."I say with a shrug

Both of them stand there stunned.

"What is the matter with you two explain to me what happened right now!If this is ome sort of joke I will find a way to make you sorry!"Mom says still playing along.Man I love her.

They both look at me then my mother.

"Um well-

"Auntie whats wrong why are you crying?"Lesley walks up

"Mother-in-law whats the issue."Cir follows

Mother in law?What the hell?Hey no no going off script here!You are going to get me in some deep shit here!

I see mom twitch slightly at the mother in law comment.But she ignores and keeps the joke going.Her eyes on the other hand drift past me and for a brief moment promise something that makes me sweat.

"These two are saying Ash is dead."Mom says

Both of them look at mom in mock shock.

"But I only stuck my tongue down his throat once."Cir says

Moms eyes flash and then she starts kicking my ass.Whelp there goes my plan.

"Oww oww shit mom cool it Im still hurt here!"

She isn't holding back she rebroke a few ribs.

"You will not be some male whore that sleeps with a lot of different women!We are going to have a talk about this when your father gets home!"She finishes with a kick to my balls and I almost black out and star foaming at the mouth.

"You two get in my house now!"Mom yells at the new arrivals

Damn you Cir Im going to get you for this as god as my wit-(whip crack)I fly across the room and slam into the wall.

"My...bad..."

Everyone just stares at me wondering what the fuck just happened.

"Don't...pay it...any mind.It...was... my fault."

All the women even the elf nod like that seems to be the case.It hurts the lack of love.

I focus on healing my now rebroken ribs so I can speak okay.Cindy and her friend look around at the company.The elf speaks up.

"The blood witch Little Bloody Red,the necromancer The White Witch,two vampires and from the looks of it both of you are enhanced at least."The elf says while looking at each in turn.

The girls look at her with a little surprise but shrug it off.Then she turns to me.

"How are you alive?With Wars strength I don't think even a nine tail could fight her easily.In fact its rumored she killed 3 of them to keep your kind in line."The elf asks

"Simple I cheated."

She looked at me then her gaze drifted around the room."So you set a trap using the people here and defeated her.You didn't kill her as you dont have enough fire power between you but a trap is your kinds specialty after assasination."

I raised my eye at that.This chick..

Cindy was stunned when she heard this."How!?Nothing can hold her even the gods tried and failed and your telling me he managed something even gods couldn't do!?"

"He is kitsune.When it comes to screwing with the live of people they surpass all even vampires who are known for their manipulation.I would like to know though how sure are you she wont be coming back?"The elf says

I look at her and narrow my eyes.This girl is ridiculously smart.She can tell that War is not dead and she can tell that we weren't all that had a hand in the plan.While she didn't outright say it I knew she knew.

"About 80% its kinda gamble. At first it was 95% but something was said that dropped it."

"That was?"

"Not important for now."

I think back to the words Rhea said."I don't care who your father is!"I really hope that doesn't bite me in the ass.

The elf narrows her eyes but nods her head.

"Now on to other business we would like you to join the team also nice to meet you my name is Arnarra Arara 2nd princess of the House of Spring."

"Are you insane I just risked my goddam life-fuuuuuuuuuuucccccckkk!!!!"I grab my head in agony.I turned off my pain damn you!

Arnarra and the others raise their eyes but Clare figures it out."It seems the rumors are true your goddess is the jealous type."

All the girls go ahhh except Cindy who is just standing there confused but the elf explains it to her then she understands.

"You know its rude not to introduce yourself and your clan when meeting another?"Arnarra chides

"Ash Falls of uh the house of my mother?"

She raises her brow at that."Are you saying your not part of a clan?"

"Yea no if I join some clan or cult my mother would kick my ass then drag me home as a bloody mess."

My mother smirks at this while all the other girls give her an appraising look.Lesley just nod.

"But you are kitsune yes?"

I nod.

"Hmm interesting.No wonder the clans are looking for you in force but no worries your secret is safe with me.However I do need to stress the importance of you joining the team because of this."She says

"Great so your threatening me too?"My tone goes dark and all the girls tense up.

She looks at me calmly and replies."No I told you I would keep your secret however working with us will provide you some protection.The kitsune will think twice if you are under my protection."

I look at her with a little doubt."Look thanks for the offer but-

"All you need to do is help us with the tougher targets!"Cindy throws in.

"Targets?"Sam speaks

Cindy looks at her and narrows her eyes."Yes targets.Too many criminals and supernaturals get away with far too much.So I made this team with the purpose of putting them down."

"Wait so you made a super black ops team!?"I say in surprise

"In a sense yes.People like those two have taken far to many lives and are a problem for the earth.I know for a fact that you agree with this fact Ash as that human trafficker is evidence enough."

Everyone looks at her then me.My eyes turn dark.

"They were scum and if you lay a hand on those two I will end you."My voice promised death.

Cindy flinches back at my tone."They aren't targets now.Only if they try killing a large amount of people.Even though they already have but I can let it go if-"She doesn't finish the sentence as my glare stops her cold.

Arnarra gives her a disapproving look.Then turns to me."They wont be targets however they will need to be under your watch if so.Please help us with your strength we can stop some real problems.Also im sure you have a directive from your goddess this way you should be able to work towards it."

"Do it Ash.This girl is sincere and you may need their help in the future."I hear Rhea chime in my head.

The fuck I thought gods couldn't see or contact me?

"I'm in your head this looked like a good show and when you messed up I decided to stay for a bit."

"ok first while I love to talk further I really dont like people in my head so shoo."

"Did you just shoo me?"

..............no..........

"Right answer."

"Are you done talking to your goddess?"Arnarra asks

Everyone looks at her in shock.

"How?"

"My people have our ways."Was all she said.

"Fine.Heres the thing though I will not train with you,nor will I go on every damn mission.I decide what missions I take and I will not target any people im close with.That includes these two and the two vampires."

The girls smile at his and each have a strange look in their eyes that I couldn't place.But it seemed somewhat possessive.

"Thats fine!We will contact you at a later time!"Cindy was positively glowing.

Then her and the elf left.

"Somehow I think im going to regret this."I say aloud

"Thats beside the point what I want to know is who has done sexual things with my son."I hear mom say.

Oh no....Before I try to bolt Lesley grabs me and holds me down.

"Traitor!"

She give me an apologetic smile.So do all the other girls as they raise their hands.

"OHHH."Moms face goes dark.

"Mrs.Falls don't be to mad Ash didn't go all the way just a bit of blood and tongue."Cir says and Angelica nods.

Moms face lightens a bit.I almost sigh in relief but..

"Really?Thats it?Sam and I have been fucking him quite a bit."

"Hey Rhea you think you can lend me a hand here?"

I see moms face slow turn toward me.

"Yea didn't think so."

That was my last thought before I was beaten unconscious.

Fun fact.I toyed with the idea that Ash really did die in the fight and had half the chapter written before I changed my mind.As i would need to kill of Alita and Inari too.
