《(Discontinued) Aevitas - Not an NPC [unfinished]》Readers input and suggestion (important after CHP2 but redundant after CHP4)

This thread is primarily for talking about how I will proceed after chapter 2
Originally, I had a plan for what happened to Tobi and why he ended up trapped inside Aevitas.
However, I am worried that many readers will not like the route I planned.
Since the end of chapter 2, you will be aware that it is unknown what will happen to Tobi if he dies inside the game.
There is a possibility that he will actually die... that his brain will believe he really died and real death will be the result.
Whether or not that is what will happen, I will not share.
Or maybe I don't yet know myself. I am still at a stage where certain things can be changed. His death in the game might really be the end of his life - maybe it won't ^_^
That is later though; this is where you come in:
What reason would you have for Tobi being stuck in the game?
What reason would you dislike for Tobi being stuck in the game?
Should I just write the way I had originally intended no matter whether the larger larger portion of the readers like it or not?
You can really go any way you like with this and take any option into consideration:
Tobi dead in real life? - I can do that.
Tobi's machine malfunctioned? - I can do that too.
I can write in almost any scenario at this moment in time. There are some that I won't consider, but for the time being I will at least read all suggestions and maybe I will be swayed into using a scenario I had previously ruled out.
I will not be using a scenario that may change how the story progresses. Like I said, I can write in 'almost' any scenario for why he is trapped - stress on the word 'almost'. The story already has a set plan for progression. I can't deviate from that at this point ^_^
Looking forward to any and all comments.
