Ps: I would really appreciate it if you guys rated and reviewed this fiction of mine. Thanks
On this day, Dusk was seated on a mat on the floor of his bedroom; he was now five years old. Beside him was Stream who had really advanced over these past two years. The current her was 25 centimeters long and her strength had advanced all the way to the peak of the upper C rank. Her white fur was still as white as ever but had grown to become mere smooth and silky. Her tail, which was still three times longer than her body, had also become exceedingly soft and plushy.
As for Dusk himself, he had really changed too. As of now, he was just a bit shorter than a regular five year old. His white hair, which had originally grown to reach his ankles, was still that long. On his arms were two white bangles, which were the pressure bracelets, and on his body was a white gown with silver linings.
Within his right hand was a bamboo cane almost ¾ times as tall as himself and on his feet were white sandals. Coupled with his calm and serene aura, he looked like an immortal that had already obtained ascension.
His abilities too had not been left behind as over the past two years he had managed to push the limit of his radar all the way to fifty kilometers. At the moment it was such that he would detect anything within a fifty-kilometer radius around him.
His strength had increased a whole lot too. With his pressure bracelets on, he could carry a load of up to 300 kilograms. He estimated that with the bracelets off, he would be able to push this limit all the way to 600 kilograms. His palm martial arts had also already been practiced to perfection.
Since he noticed that he would be walking around with a cane often, he decided to train himself on how to use the cane as a weapon. While it had not really been successful at first, towards the end of his fourth year, he had successfully managed to incorporate the cane into his palm martial arts making it seem like an extension of his body.
On this day Dusk was really happy as it was finally the day that he would finally take off the pressure bracelets. Why would he take them off? Simple, it was in preparation for the awakening of his attribute. The previous night he had had a conversation with his mother about this very topic.
“Dusk, baby, I want to talk to you about something please come here?” Dusk heard his mother’s voice from a different room.
“Yes mom, what is it? I’m ready to listen.” Dusk replied. Over the years Dusk had grown up and thus in as much as he still acted a bit immature in front of his mom, he had long since stopped referring to himself in third person.

“What do you know about magic attributes?” Jade asked.
“I know a lot actually.” Dusk replied.
“Ooh, is that so? Well that makes things easier then. Since you already know all that then I guess there’s nothing much to talk about. Just make sure you take those pressure bracelets off as soon as possible, it will be best if you experience the awakening while your body is in its optimum condition.”
“Yes mom.” Once Jade finished speaking, she walked over to Dusk, kissed him on the forehead and then lead him to bed where she tucked him in to sleep.
Dusk really appreciated that advice and that was why he was here today, removing the pressure bracelets. As soon as both bracelets fell to the ground, Dusk felt so light that it was as though his body was weightless. This feeling was one of utter bliss.
The reason Dusk decided to remove his bracelets at this moment was because he had a gnawing feeling within him that kept telling him that his day of awakening was going to be today.
As he did not want to take any chances, he decided to get ready and wait. And so, at this moment, he was seating on the floor waiting for his epiphany.
After waiting for an hour, he finally felt something. This was not a normal feeling. He felt as though he were floating in the air. Below him was vast grassland. On this grassland, animals were playing and the grass was swaying back and forth. The air here was really fresh and as it brushed up against his skin, Dusk felt really comfortable. This was a really beautiful sight to behold.
Unfortunately before he was even able to fully appreciate the beauty of the land, the view in front of him changed into one where he was hovering above a volcano. Within the crater of this volcano, lava was bubbling and every once in a while some yellow gas would be released into the surroundings.
The air in this place was so hot that Dusk’s skin had become lobster red. This place was just too dangerous because once that yellow gas touches you even a little; your skin would be corroded.
Fortunately, before Dusk was put into any mortal danger, he was transported into a new location. In this new location he was floating above a huge ocean. From where he was floating, Dusk could see that this ocean trailed on endlessly.
Within this ocean, a being that resembled a flood dragon and a giant shark were battling. This scene was just so surreal. As Dusk noticed that the two species had not spotted him, he decided to keep on watching.
As the battle played on, although the flood dragon had an upper hand at first due to its prowess in long distance fighting using its water bullets, once the giant shark caught up to it, it was left with little choice and was pushed into a corner.

The giant shark, being an expert in speed and close combat due to its sharp teeth, easily defeated the flood dragon. As Dusk watched this, his eyes almost popped out. In as much as the flood dragon was not the strongest of dragons, it was not the weakest either. For there to be a creature that could so easily defeat it was something that Dusk found unbelievable. If the place that he had just seen was a real one, then he did not want to be there, ever!
Once the battle ended, Dusk was taken to many different places all in which he saw very wondrous things. There was a humongous desert, a forest with trees that were high enough to touch the sky, a sandy beach that went on endlessly. There was even a cave with no hint of light whatsoever.
After Dusk went through all those things he finally found himself back in his room. While all that he had witnessed had really surprised him, he decided to ignore it because he could feel that within his body was something new. Once he focused his mind to see what it was, he was really surprised. He had surprisingly gained an affinity for space, an element that was so rarely acquired, it was barely seen even once every ten years.
Just as he stood up and was about to run to his mother to inform her the good news, he was suddenly hit by a strong headache, and before he even could control himself, he found himself sprawled on the ground in pain. Before he could black out, however, Dusk could sense Stream on top of him trying to get him to respond with tears in her eyes.
As soon as he blacked out, he found himself in a very familiar place; this place was the grassland where he had been before. This time, however, there was something different. While the last time he was floating in the air, this time he was seated on the ground. It was not that he wanted to sit; it was just that he could not move an inch.
In front of him, cut off from the rest of the vast grassland was a small patch of land, almost one meter in diameter upon which no grass was growing. On this land, the only thing that existed was soil.
As Dusk felt that there was a secret to be uncovered within this patch of land, he decided to stare at it and see what it would bring forth. After looking for almost seven days straight, he found that he could not turn his head away.
After those seven days, what had appeared before him was a small sapling. This sapling looked so weak, in fact, that Dusk felt as though it could be overturned by a minor wind. However, as he was unable to move, he could only watch.
Hours turned to days and days turned to months. Time continued to go forth as Dusk continued to look towards the sapling that had now grown into a short tree. As time continued to pass so did the tree continue to grow.
After so long a time had passed that Dusk had already lost count of how many months, years, decades, centuries it had been, the tree finally stopped growing at a height of 500 meters..
Over the next months as the tree continued to stand firm once it had stopped growing, it started to shed leaves. It started with one, two, three; very soon all of the leaves had fallen off.
Once all the leaves fell off, the tree itself started to decay. Year after year, it continued to decay and become smaller and smaller until one day, an eternity later when the last speck of the tree had disappeared, Dusk heard a voice in his head.
As this voice had broke his eternal monotony, Dusk knew that he would forever remember the following words come rain come sunshine
“Observe the nature of life, feel the flow of time. Life is ephemeral time is eternal. Grasp time and you have grasped life”
Once the last word played within Dusk’s mind, he could feel himself regaining consciousness from an eternity of monotony. As soon as he came to, the first thing that he noticed was that he was on his mother’s lap with Stream lying beside him.
The second thing that he noticed was that in as much as all that time had passed in that world, in this world he felt that not even tem minutes had passed. This was really strange. Before he could even finish that train of thought, however, Dusk noticed that within him was the power of…time?
“But how could this be? In mother’s memories, they had not once mentioned the affinity of time.” Dusk thought to himself. However, once he thought about it again, he came to a realization. Affinities choose someone based on their state of mind at birth. As Dusk had been able to go against time and get born as a baby once more, he must have naturally instigated the powers of time.
The more Dusk thought about it, the more it made sense. At this moment, he could not help but think back to the experience of that eternity. “Then was that the awakening of the power of time? Wow, that was really something I would not like to go through again.” Dusk thought to himself.
Now that he had managed to come to a conclusion, Dusk was able to put his mind at ease. Before he could even relax, however, he noticed something disturbing. As of now he could feel something on his forehead and this something was… the silver linings?
To Dusks surprise, the silver linings that were once beneath his eye had disappeared and had now appeared around his head in a manner similar to a crown. This was really weird. Was it because of the awakening? Dusk asked himself.

The Supernormal
In a world where fantasy has become everyday, one man stands against absurdity. The local Tower stomps through the streets. Any hedge could contain a witch. Walls regularly crumble, though none more often than the fourth. In the magical city of Blackpool, all ridiculousness is possible, and it takes everything for Jack Of All Trades to survive. Badly, at that. Perpetually late with his rent, he'll take up arms for any paying customer in order to fulfill his quest. His obstacles include polka-loving ghosts, card-game playing vampires, and the most vicious monsters of all: copyright lawyers. When he's joined by an arrogant magus and an insecure vampire, his life gets even more complicated, but no matter what kind of infuriating choose-your-own-adventure he finds himself on, one constant remains—his rent is due at the end of the month. On second thoughts, maybe he should stay in bed. The Supernormal isn't your average web-novel. It's an urban fantasy parody that saunters through a world full of the absurd, delighting in poking fun at popular media, widely-accepted ideas, and often itself. Story arcs only loosely connect through the characters, who are themselves slowly fleshed out as the story continues. Think of Discworld meets The Dresden Files meets Gintama. This novel won't be for everyone, but if it is for you, you're in for a hell of a ride.

Clearly, there must be some dark secret behind the success of these newcomers, and it’s up to the city’s true artists to find out what it is and expose the conspiracy!
