《Insania Online》HIATUS ANNOUNCEMENT
Advertisement
THIS POST WILL BE PUT UP ON ALL OF MY STORIES.
Well, it has come to this in the end. *sighs*
Well, some of you might have noticed, but I haven’t made many uploads on RRL recently, and while I believe a few of you might already suspect this, I thought that it might be better to make this official.
I’M STARTING AN HIATUS OF UNDETERMINATED DURATION HERE ON RRL.
And yes. RRL, not Insania online, not (Re)install, not Spiritsmith, but RRL as a whole. The reason is fairly simple, I’m completely burnt out on writing. I can’t even bring myself to look at the word file I have on my folder with 2k words of Insania already written, even though leaving an unfinished chapter usually would bother the hell out of me. That’s how badly burnt out I am.
Just to be specific, this isn’t a writer’s block, as I already know where each of my stories are heading next and what I will write, I just can’t bring myself to write at all for RRL. Recent tests on college and a Long, LONG time writing pretty much frequently have finally taken its toll and made me unable to even think about writing things for the site.
What’s even worse is that , a couple of weeks ago, IO finally reached its first anniversary. A whole whopping YEAR since I started, and while I was ridiculously happy for achieving such unprecedent milestone, I just couldn’t put myself to write.
Now, this doesn’t mean that any of my works here will be dropped. Hell, by me I will never drop these stories midway without giving them at least a satisfactory ending. However, I feel that I need a break from such “workly” writing. Once again, just to be clear, I don’t dislike writing, and in fact don’t think I will ever stop writing, hiatus or no hiatus, but having to write a quality story under (rather vague) deadlines is something that I personally can’t say that I find relaxing.

On more individual notes, the stories, when they come out from hiatus, will probably come indepently. By the way things are going, I feel that (Re)install and Spiritmisth will probably be the first ones to return sooner, while IO might be the longest lasting one, seeing how it’s the one that have been putting me under most “pressure” to say. For those who follow my writer’s corner and comments, you might have noticed how I personally don’t find IO as great of a story as my other two, and that might possibly be the reason, but I can’t say for sure.
Well, for that, I’m sorry as I know many of you rather enjoy my stories and lookf forward for their updates, but I’d rather stop updating for some time and come back when I’m more willing to write than keep writing and see the quality of my stories drop thanks to lack of motivation.
However, this doesn’t mean that I will stop frequenting RRL altogether, so if any of you have questions or comments you want to leave, do know that I WILL read them, so feel free to leave them here, in their corresponding chapters or send me a PM. I may also upload the random ideas/status on my wordpress page, and for those who still want a bit of Warhawx-style storytelling, you might want to check there, as I will probably start uploading my casual ideas there.
With that said, once again, I’m sorry for doing this without previous notice (though some of you probably already expected this…) and would like to once again thank you all for following me up to here in this journey.
Status as of the writing of this sorry excuse of a hiatus:
Cult of Cygnas: 3017 followers
Beepers: 1373 beeps
Spiritsmith: 1139 (Need some kind of fancy/quirky naming here…)
People angry/disappointed/annoyed/sad with Warhawx: All of the above.

The Glyph Queen
When Winnie was thirteen, her settlement taught her how to fire a rifle. Her school practiced drills in case raiders came, and the town grew crops in their greenhouse-adapted homes, which were the only places warm enough during the worldwide nuclear winter. The Lakiran empire invades—a corporate-born nation overseen by their corporate-born queen, Victoria Paladino. They ride silent planes whose repulsion field veered bullets away. Three years of occupation later, an exemplar visits—a member of Victoria’s oversight committee rumored to read minds. He tells Winnie that she may have a unique mental power, or a flair. At the empire’s capital, the queen herself tutors Winnie to help her reach the full potential of whatever power she may have. Meanwhile, in post-war Nigeria, a streetwise teenager named Naema sees a different side of the empire. Between corruption and oppression, everyone lives in squaller. People fight over assembled food pastes. She too is told she has a unique flair, not by the empire, but by a fugitive woman who is the last vestige of an ancient witch coven, and she knows a dark secret about what the exemplars do to people like Winnie and Naema. Updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The most recent chapters of The Glyph Queen are available on its main website.

What Was Lost Outside Time
What happens to a mind, subjected to an infinite span of time? What remains, when it is taken out again? This is the story of an individual reborn after such time has passed that nothing remains of what it was; an individual who must learn once again what it is to be, beginning with awareness of the idea of awareness, and growing from there; from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to awareness of society, and on. This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.

Each day, they would remind him of it, until the final moment came. He transcended into a true knight. The fort he called home would soon kick him out after a few scant lessons. With his guard, a dishonored knight like was soon to be, and Mother Melissa, kindness personified, they destined him to roam the lands aimlessly, hoping beyond hope someone would accept him. But suddenly the entire world collapsed around him. The Count of Teralis died? All his children slain? How? Without warning, he was the last living male child of the Teralis line.
