Author’s corner: HELLO HELLO! The adventures of your least favorite draconid… Why am I even writing this anyway?
ANYWAY, as promised, here is the sides-story telling about how one of the future members of Collection got his class. And this is NOT all, there will be a few more chapters.
ALSO, I’m still open for recommendations, you know? Feel free to post your characters on the comments, and I might add them on a future SS, extra, or might even go and put him in the main story! No guarantee of when, thought, might do immediately, or a few weeks in the future, as they at least have to fit the story. Here is an example on how to post your character:
Name and Nickname: Wargon (Gondorrer Dogsbane.)
Gender: Male || Race: Golem || Class tree: Mage/rogue || Class: Spell sword (not actually his class in the future, still a secret)
Equipment: Scale mail chest, rest Chain mail. Sword and shield.
Brief description: Vivid brown rock skin, cool (creepy) green shining eyes, green body-tatoo glow.
Brief playstyle: Easy rage tank.
Brief personality: An idiot.
ALSO(2), no ETA for the next SS chapter, since I do these when I still feel like writing after finishing a main chapter, so don’t expect much. Also, feel free to tell me what you think of these sidestories.
ALSO(3), Congratulations to Mataneloro and Clauriet whose characters appear here. When I saw that your character were so similar to Incarnus (his character was defined before the story even began!) , I just knew I had to put the three togheter and see what would happen!
Have a good read!

“Here you go!” Said Incarnus as he handed seven Screeching Hawks talons to the old farmer.
“Thank you, youngling. Here, I know this isn’t much, but take these boots of mine from when I was a soldier!” The old man answered while taking a pair of plate greaves from an old chest in the back of his house.
Incarnus gladly took the boots and readily equipped them before walking away happily. Although he lost a bit of strength, these new boots compensated on high agility and two points in vitality, so all was well.
However the most important reward he got from the quest was the window that popped right after he completed it. He had gotten to level 10, now, it was time for him to go and get himself a class! However, one thing still weighted his mind.
What class should he get? To tell the truth, he was completely at loss on this one specific detail of his character ever since he created it. Rather, even before the game was launched, he didn’t know what to do. He always liked to play in the front lines, being the damage dealer and standing right in the middle of the fight, where all the thrill was found.

Then, there was the fact that this was a VR, he also wanted to see how it feels to use magic. To make the very laws of nature bend at your will, to see fire and thunder sprout from your fingers and attack your enemies.
So, as he leveled, he took a try at both. Always making sure to carry equipment with both strength and intellect, he ended up being fairly squishy, and did not have much defensive capacities.
But he ended up liking doing both. Being a mage and a warrior, so he was now at loss on how he should proceed.
Without even noticing, his feet had already carried him towards the entrance to the capital he currently called home. Ezoria Argus.
The city itself was majestic, remembering him of one of those magical cities you would see in manga and books, with stone buildings, towers and a huge castle at it’s middle. However, what truly marked this city as different from anything else he had ever seen, was the fact that the whole city stood above a humongous bridge. When he asked the citizens, they told that the bridge was a gift given to them by the goddess.
When he looked around, he noticed an object that looked like a horseless carriage just standing there. These were the methods of transports used to travel around the city. There were also some tele transportation magic circles, but these only worked on fixed times of the day and were severely limited to where they could send you, so these carriages were the mainstream here.
He quickly got into a familiar red with shining blue stripes carriage, and greeted the driver, a small and energetic goblin.
“Oh! Aallon! Glad to see you again!” Said the goblin happily.
“Glutwack. I knew it was you!” Replied Incarnus. He still wasn’t used to the NPCs calling him by that name.
“To the guild like always?” The goblin asked while turning back, revealing his little ugly face with a large nose. But he frowned when he saw his client. “What’s up? Is something bothering you?”
Incarnus was a bit at loss on how to answer, but finally he sighed and told him his situation. The goblin looked at him surprised before letting a shrilly laughter.
“Hey! No need to laugh…” He said downhearted.
“Sorry, sorry!” The goblin said without meaning it. “If you don’t know whether to use one style or the other, why not both?” The goblins answered him happily. “We are in Ezoria Argus of all places! This is the city of magic!”
“You have a point. Do you have a recommendation then?”
“Of course!” Said the goblin while turning back to the front of the carriage and putting his hands in some kind of crystal orb. A soft hum echoed as the magical apparatus came to life. “You like to use lots of different magics. But prefer to use your weapons when fighting, then, there is one place that is perfect for you in this city!”

…
After some time, Glutwack left Incarnus in the door of what looked the middle term between a school and a fort. With it’s huge wooden gates inviting him inside, he almost forgot to pay the poor driver, who had to remind him kindly with a knife to his throat.
Goblins take their gold seriously.
He walked towards the entrance, and found himself in the front of a huge patio with dozens of knights sparring here and there. He could see some words forming in thin air and then incorporating to their weapons before they would suddenly burst into a random element or effect.
He gulped in expectation and asked a nearby free knight where he could find the register.
Following the exhausted knights direction, he found himself within the castle, and there was a desk where a high elf woman was working on some books. He approached her calmly and got her attention with a slight clearing of his throat.
He clenched tightly his glaive when a look colder than the north glaciers pierced him. Gladly it passed quickly, as the elf seemed to notice him and quickly apologized, saying that she thought he was another person.
After a quick talk, he had to register himself in a few papers and he was enrolled into the rune warriors academy. Then she pointed towards a door to his right, and said for him to wait there for a moment, as the academy master would soon appear to give a talk to the newcomers.
Newcomers? He thought surprised. As in plural?
He didn’t bother too much with it, and went towards the appointed door.
What was behind it was something akin to a classroom, with various desks and a blackboard.
There were already two other people inside. One was a half-drow half-human, he had a grey skin with a slight brownish tint to it and purple vertical-slit eyes. His equipment was a full chain mail set, a small buckler and a spear.
The second on… he wasn’t exactly sure what was his race, but he looked exactly like a 10 years old child wearing a heavy chain-mail armor with a headband. His weapon was a heavy looking halberd.
The two of them also examined him for some time, then the first one clicked his tongue while the kid sighed annoyed.
Incarnus was a bit at loss on how to react to that.
Finally, he sighed and sat on one of the desks. With another look he quickly confirmed that there was a name floating above their heads, meaning they were players. The half-drow had the nickname Let while the kid was called Chouhi.
Still, it truly was one hell of a coincidence that the three of them had almost the same equipment. Wearing medium-to-heavy armor and a pole-weapon. What were the chances. However, for some reason this fact only served to make the three of them feel even more annoyed at each other.
After some time of glaring silently at each other, the door finally opened again, and in came a Construct. He was tall, having one and eighty something meters, and had long red hair. In the middle of his forehead was a red gem surrounded by a strange metal plate, as well as the usual antenna-like ears.
“Hmm.. Three new attendees today. Good, good.” He nodded happily. “Glad to meet you. I’m My name is Issak, and my rank is captain. Well, let’s cut the chatter, shall we? Okay. All three of you are now officially enrolled into the Rune-warriors academy. But before we begin our training, I want the three of you to tell me. What is the most important thing a Rune warrior should have? Lephtys?” he looked towards the drow.
“Of course it’s power.” The dark elf said in a matter-of-factly. However…
“Nope. Next.” The construct shot him down mercilessly almost stunning the elf. “Zhang?” he turned to the kid.
“Magic, clearly!” Said the kid with energy.
“Still nope. Next.” He turned to Incarnus. “Aallon?”
“Versatility?”
“Nope.” The Construct said with a smile, then he took a step back towards the blackboard. “What you must know the best as a rune warrior, is grammar! How to write your runes, how to read them, that kind of thing! And that’s what we are going to study!”
He said with pride. But the three students weren’t very pleased with his answer, and Chouhi quickly slammed on his desk while standing up, almost breaking it.
“That damned blacksmith said nothing about this! I’m getting out of here. I came to learn how to fight, not to read.”
But before he could even leave his desk, Issak smiled and said.
“That door, is sealed with a very strong magic.” He pointed to the exit door. “And the only way to open it is to write ‘Open this passage immediately’ in runic.” The three of them looked surprised at him as he took a book from a shelf and a chalk from his pocket. “Now, I hope you guys have brought your notebooks, because this isn’t very easy.”
At that time, three heads slammed into their desks in unison.
