《Magus Of Darkness》Chapter 96: Finished potion

Time flew by quickly, Adrius worked hard the past month. He has been preparing the potion. The Soul eating potion. He worked days on end without sleep to perfect it. After all, he was using two powerful rank 3 magus apprentices’ souls in the potion. And if he makes even the slightest mistake then everything, he made will be unusable.
So, for 1 month, Adrius didn’t interact with anyone, he didn’t go out, except when he had a lesson. And even in lessons he didn’t speak, he used the same technique as Oliver the Mouthless, he is in no need of magical stones anymore so he bought the spell Oliver used to speak with his mind. It was very cheap as it was not a big spell. It was only a rank 0 spell.
He didn’t speak with his student, as for why, then the answer is clear. He didn’t want to waste his precious energy to speak with those ants. It may be extreme but he has his principles after all. And those little shits gave him a shit in a vial and called it poison. They clearly didn’t respect poison; thus, they didn’t respect him. Because poison is his life, it is the thing he does best.
The month went out without a problem, no one bothered him and he was thankful for that. Croft showed him again that he was in fact crazy. As he started talking about the blood sacrifice and told Adrius to use his yet to be born kid. Even though he threatened him that if he touches a hair out of his ‘grandchild’s’ head then he will kill him.
Adrius didn’t know how to deal with Croft, the man who is a madness incarnate. He doesn’t stay true to his words and sometimes he forgets his words. Like when Adrius came back after annihilating Valaq, Croft raged at him and threatened to kill him. But now he congratulated Adrius and complimented him on his act.

“You are a true magus.” He told him times and times over.
He doesn’t hate his professor. But sometimes he wishes that his professor would be killed, so he can get some peace.
But thank the universe that Croft didn’t visit him much, because Adrius wasn’t sure if he could hold himself from murdering the magus if Croft changed his mind again.
It was tiresome!
Adrius cleared his mind and looked at the cauldron in front of him, it was filled with a light blue substance. The substance boiled; steam rose from the cauldron. The steam smelled of roses, weirdly.
A mere sniff of the cauldron can make mortals lose all sense of reality and live in their own fantasy. But Adrius was not a mortal, he was a rank 3 magus apprentice. Thus, making him immune to such illusions. The illusion is the product of using Infinite Dream rose. It is a magical plant that has very strong illusionary powers. If prepared right and with the right ingredients then it can put an official magus in a dream-like state until they take an antidote.
“Good, the potion is done.” Adrius sighed a sigh of relief. This past month has been hell. But it will be worth it, if he can get closer to his goal of becoming a magus then he will lay down a thousand years of his life and not just a month.
What is time compared to the ultimate power? So, what if he has infinite time to live, but he is weak. Where is the meaning in that. True immortality is not living forever, but it is being the strongest in existence and achieving the power that makes Death itself afraid of coming for you. That is true immortality.
Adrius started to move his magic and started chanting in Xyron. “The soul is the core of it all, the soul is the life of it all. By these words may the universe hear me and complete this potion.” His voice while using Xyron is like two stones rubbing against each other. It makes the skin crawl and hairs stand on ends.

Also, him using Xyron has affected his own voice. It became deeper and more gruffy than it was when he transmigrated.
He has squeezed the souls already and added them to the mix, so he was only waiting for magic to complete the potion. He moved his magic inside the potion and made it roam every milliliter of the potion, marking the individual drops as his.
Suddenly the mixture turned its light blue color to a very dark violet! The smell stayed the same but it got stronger. Now it contains some kind of spice.
Then like death a skull formed on the mixture’s surface. The skull looked at Adrius with its empty eye sockets and uttered with a voice made out of gravel. “We curse you, Adrius Caseo, you may never find peace in life.” The voice was like two people speaking at the same time. It will make the toughest person shudder hearing it. But Adrius was used to such things, he has made several experiments on souls and such things are normal.
“Yeah, whatever. It is not like I seek peace.” Adrius rolled his eyes. Always with the same curse: You may never find peace. It is like they can’t be more original. Where are: I curse 9 generation of your family. I curse your lineage. And such good curses. It is always: You may never find peace.
The skull then disappeared like it was never there in the first place. The violet potion was all clear now and no foaming skull was there to disrupt its peace.
Seeing this Adrius was satisfied, he was ready to put it in a vial to drink it then shut himself in his room to cultivate and process all the power he would get pumped into his body.
He was preparing the tools he needed to extract the potion from the cauldron and put it in a vial when a panicked knocking came at his door.
Adrius cussed out loud, he immediately summoned his mask and wore it. He opened the door to see a terrified beastkin with a wolf characteristic.
The beastkin started speaking before Adrius could ask what was happening.
“Your Highness, you maid Mary. She…she is giving birth!”
