《Creating a world can't be that difficult, right?》Chapter 168

As soon as the three cultivators heard the message, they stood still without knowing what to do.
What they heard was a message from Heaven, and as members of Sacro, they must do their best to carry it out.
"I think we have to talk with the higher-ups," Nathan said as he stood up from his desk.
Soon after, a meeting was arranged to discuss how to approach their new goal. They didn't know when the archway would open, so it would be best to prepare the army as soon as possible so they would be able to react when the time arrived.
The first thing they did was to call the top fighters of Sacro to return to Castelo before sending messages to the three tribes to ask for help.
Only the Sacro's members had heard Heaven's message, but thanks to Sacro's influence, it didn't take any effort to convince the three tribes about what happened, and when they knew about the quest, they sent large amounts of resources and materials so Sacro's army could become even stronger than before.
In a few weeks, the collective effort of Axel's world created the strongest force ever seen by it. With three groups of ten cultivators above the sixth stage and led by an eighth-stage cultivator each, the army was ready to cross the archway whenever the tunnel opened.
While they waited for the time to come, they continued polishing their skills and increasing their cultivation to be in the best condition possible.
Nathan, being one of the strongest cultivators inside Sacro, also continued training, and with the help of all the resources they were receiving, he felt that he was nearing the breakthrough for which he had been aiming for years.
Being an important figure within a large faction had many advantages, one of which was having a large personal area where one could do whatever one wanted. At that moment, Nathan and his two companions were in his personal tower discussing the current situation.

"I'm there. I just need a little push," Nathan complained to his friends.
"Man, you are about to reach the ninth stage. Do you know how many people have reached it? And I don't mean people that have reached it and are alive right now. I mean in the whole history. The ninth stage is the realm of legends. You can't expect it to be easy to reach." Travis said.
"That's right. You are still young, barely reaching your forties. Even if you stay with us in the eighth stage for a few more years, nothing bad is going to happen." Marianne tried to reassure Nathan.
"Yeah, you said that, but anytime soon, we are going to cross the sacred archway. Every person that has returned from that place has seen wonders and nightmares that words cannot explain. We can't know what we are going to face, so we need to be as strong as possible." Nathan said seriously. "That's why I can't give up. Imagine what would have happened if the legendary Uno hadn't cultivated all day since he was three years old. When his time to fight the seven-tailed devil fox arrived, he wouldn't have attained enlightenment and would have died without passing us his heavenly knowledge."
"I mean, yes, you may be right. But maybe comparing yourself with a legendary figure like Uno may be a little bit excessive." Travis said while laughing.
"I'm not comparing myself with Uno. I'm just saying that if we can extract something from his tale is that we always have to cultivate to be as strong as possible." Nathan said.
"Whatever, man. Good luck with your cultivation. I need to continue working on my next invention." Travis said before leaving the room.
"Me too. I have to supervise a few projects, so see you later." Marianne said before leaving the room.

Finding himself alone, Nathan decided to continue cultivating.
He knew that he wasn't far from his breakthrough. In this kind of situation, people usually focus on just one body part at a time and realize a breakthrough at a time, but Nathan had cultivated everything at the same time years ago, so he decided to continue like that.
Before starting his cultivation session, he ate food prepared with the meat of magical beasts and magical plants of the highest quality until his stomach was full, and then he grabbed a handful of energy coins.
He sat in the center of his room and focused on absorbing all the energy in his surroundings, in the energy coins, and in his stomach.
He stayed in that position for hours until suddenly a sharp pain appeared on his whole body, followed by his dantian and sea of consciousness condensing and losing most of their size.
At that moment, Nathan managed to break through to the ninth stage.

Penance's Pursuit
This future sci-fi fantasy follows the progression of a few main characters as they navigate their unique spheres of life in the year 2242. The story focuses heavily on themes of guilt, personal failing, and penance. The conflict revolves around two main concepts: Man vs. Himself (Internal conflict) and Man vs Man (External conflict). The internal conflicts focus on many of the characters' inner demons and how each of them deal with the scars of the past. The external conflict centers around a mysterious criminal organization called Nexus that conducts human trafficking. There are three groups of main characters. The first group belong to a vigilante mercenary organization called Ab Aeterno. Titus, Venna, and Benjamin are Achilles team. This team is a part of Ab Aeterno's special forces branch which is designated Demon Stalkers. Their goal and mission is to perform assassinations, abductions, and destabilization operations on criminal organizations throughout the solar system. Their current mission places them directly in the path of Nexus. Titus interacted with them in his past and they seem to have unlimited reach, resources, and power. As the team faces this threat, old wounds will surface and dangerous connections to the past will emerge. The second group of characters are on the Mars colony. Randal Page is an analyst for a talent scout company on Mars. He is faced with the reality that the company he thought he was working for is in fact Nexus. His story centers around his coming to realize the duplicity of the company he works for and then his response to the startling realization of his own ignorant involvement. Also on Mars is a woman named FaRarra Njokko. She is a Nexus sex slave in a brothel on Mars and is known by the stage name of Stardust. She is striving to escape when her path crosses with Randal. The final main character is Preston Coretel. He is a monk with a mysterious and shady past. He is on the run from Nexus in more ways than one. He is seeking sanctuary on an abandoned monastery space station in order to avoid agents of Nexus and to atone for his previous involvement with Nexus.

Killstealer
Unfinished - Apologies to anyone who was reading but I have no current intentions to revisit this story Alex was stuck in a rut: He was nearing thirty, and his career seemed to be going no-where; He used to have plenty of friends at university, but had gradually lost touch with them. He had recently started using a dating site, but truthfully he never quite got over his ex. It could be worse; he didn't spend his nights wallowing in self pity. However, he had a sinking feeling that his life was going no-where fast. When Alex decided to take up an old hobby all he really was looking for was something fun to do on friday nights. Thrust into another world by a mad mage Alex must adapt quickly to survive. Unfortunately, Alex showed up late to game night and ends up stuck with a pretty mediocre character in this game like reality. Alex must learn to survive in this new world; just because it all seems like a giant game doesn't make death any less terrifying. This will be my first attempt at writing litrpg. I wanted to set myself the challenge of writing every week and I think knowing people might be reading it will motivate me. I've always worked much better with external deadlines. FAQ Why should I read this LitRPG? I am writing because I enjoy it and you should read it if you enjoy it. If I had to make an elevator pitch I would start off by saying my MC is a rogue type character, which seems a relatively uncommon character at least based on what I have read. I also strive to make the supporting cast three dimensional characters, and not just caricatures. Finally, I can't forget that this is a LitRPG so I have tried to make a RPG system with depth, and one that makes sense. How often will you release chapters? At least once a week is my goal. I am a nurse with a baby at home, so between my hospital and my baby I won't have time for more unless something dramatically changes. Will there be romance? I won't rule it out as I try to let my characters write their own stories. However, there will NEVER be a harem, it just isn't something I am interested in. Gore, Profanity, and Traumatising Content? I don't intend to have any of these present at obscene levels, but my tolerance might be different to yours. The tags are mostly there to cover me. BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.
