“I just thought I should check in with you. I have ordered that all Rearguard Beagles leave Flight Cruiser Lexonus, if we don’t rescue this situation it will be destroyed anyway. Over, ruff.”

“Thanks for the update. I wish you luck in battle Captain.”

“We will need it. Thank you.”

“I just have one more question, Captain. Who on Earth came up with the battle plan you followed?”

“It was Eric Smythe. Eric Smythe from FOG.”

“Eric Smythe?!” Captain Scheider had a look of horror on his face. “Eric Smythe is a traitor?!”

Captain Scheider ended the communications with the Rearguard Beagles and looked at Ivan.

“This is serious. Eric Smythe is one of the most senior people in the Outer Galaxies. If he truly is a traitor there is no end of damage he could have wrought.”

Ivan didn’t know what to say. “Sir, is there anything I should do?”
