Puppies are hard to train at first
As they grow up their height and growth make them look like they want to burst
Are loyal friends
They stick with us and wait for the new
adventure around the bend
They sit by your feet
Some are mean and others are sweet
They watch and guard as we sleep
When someone break in they growl and get ready to leap
They run around
and then look for scraps of food on the ground
When they get old and start to move slow
We sit by their side and we know
That our loyal friend will be going for their last ride
Up in heaven where the angels reside
