《Battle Hardened》Epilogue and Spoilers

Whats below is an epilogue for the first book that would have concluded at the end of the first invasion of earth
[Is this him?] a buzzing monotone voice sounded from
A tall lean man wearing an outdated military dress uniform, covered in awards and honors. His face a map of scars, one of his hands is metallic and soft whir of aged motors can be heard as he steps up to the wall of the plexiglas holding cell. “I'm here, alien.”
[I'm glad you came. I want you to witness my last statements]
Murphy stared at the giant alien larva in front of him. “They said you wanted to make an offer. You should know us well enough to understand that nothing you say here will save your life.”
[I am ware.]
“Then why do you want to address me directly?”
Despite having no eyes the alien worm oriented its pale translucent face to look at Murphy through the glass.
[I wish to behold one who has defied a hundred thousand eons of data, every predictive model. I wish to tell you what is to come, and I wish to ask you for two things, if you agree I will unlock the encryption on our database and command our programs to serve your kind, and your kind only]
“Why make this offer now? Why not during your trial?”
The aliens head begins bobbing in a sign of agitation or humor. [Trial.] Its whole body started vibrating and twitching. [If it were not for my lack of necessary organs I would laugh. Yes, it was conducted fairly. The idea of a trial for a criminal is ridiculous to us. Were it not for the last two years I would think you too soft as a species to survive.]

[We… I, learned something From your species. Spite is not unique in the universe, but your kind carries it to depths where no civilized race can follow. Few species even have a word for it. Its illogical nature so unpredictable that, like you Murphy, it defies statistical certainty.]
The alien pauses as the coils of its body shift around the cell to coil under its head. It had almost tripled in length since its capture, now almost twenty feet of maggot colored flesh with a crest of oily black hair.
[I am the last, no other of my kind live on your world. I know this because full control of our systems has passed to me. I have given instructions to the remaining smart software. Upon my execution they will decrypt our database and transfer control exclusively to humans.]
The doors behind murphy locked with an audible clang mechanically driven steel rods slammed into place. The plexiglass wall separating the human and alien began to recede into the floor.
Murphy reached into his dress uniform jacket and pulled out an older style of high caliber pistol, while his metallic hand sprouted spikes along the knuckles and arcs electric current. “you think trapping me in here with you gives you an advantage?”
[No. I know you can kill me, even without your weapon or metal limbs you would still crush me. I want you to know that I accept this punishment and I want you to know why. I am guilty of the crimes you accused me of, the trail was fair, the conclusion clear. I would do it all again to see one of the Immortals proven wrong. But I want you to remember, when you see my race amongst the stars, we are not all monsters, we have some honor left to us, please remember my final acts and show them mercy.]

Murphy held his weapon steady on the alien, not wavering or flinching, “If we can, we will follow our laws of war, but I cannot make a commitment for all mankind.”
The plexiglas wall started raising back into place as the door slowly unlocked behind murphy.
[That is acceptable, Anomaly]
Murphy lowered his sidearm once the barrio was back in place, but did not return it to his holster, “and what is the other thing you want?”
[We were the first to make planet fall, but a battle in the deep has raged for decades. Others contend for control of the routes into your system. Many others. We thought to steal your world and sell it to the highest bitter. With an army of compliant slave soldiers, or billions of terror drones, and intact infrastructure and biosphere. We would have not been able to hold it, but we could have been wealthy beyond measure.]
[There will by many others after us, many plots and manipulations, wars and invasions. Inside the information that will rereleased upon my death are technologies that can make your kind virtually immortal. I want you to use them, guard your world, prevent infiltration, survive as a species and crush all those that would use you]
“We were already planning on doing that.” Murphy flexed his robotic arm, causing his hand to glow a bright blue.
[I do not mean all of your people, you specifically must agree. You must undergo a system conversion and make an endless war. Never relend, show the universe to fear you as my kind now does.]

Synergy
Dear Inspector, Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from being a Player. Hey! Laugh all you want, but I had to try. With no rules down here, who's to say that I can't resign? Anyway, my reasons are simple: I'm neither a gamer nor a hero. You got the wrong person for the job. Sure, the pay is decent and I could pretty much live like a king if, you know, I wasn't so busy trying to survive. I have major concerns about the demonic dagger bound to my soul too. Come to think of it, I've never asked to be transported to this fantasy land either and would like you to return me home, thank you very much. I don't want supernatural powers, I don't want to complete quests after quests, and I don't want to be your test subject anymore. What? I'm not whining, you're whining. Stop making excuses and let me leave already. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you'll find a better replacement after I'm gone for good. Sincerely,Randel, the Mad Painter What to expect from Synergy: --> Some GameLit elements are presented subversively. If you want the protagonist to “play the game” properly, this might not be the story for you.--> No filler chapters; the story's structure is already plotted out. It's going to have six story arcs.--> Character development happens slowly, over many chapters. Don't expect a perfect protagonist right off the bat.--> Some romance, but it will never be the main focus.--> Humor and dark elements in equal measure, but not to the extent that I’d label this story as “Comedy” or “Grimdark”. ... and lots and lots of Author's Notes. See you on the other side of the portal!

However, he awakens in an unfamiliar new world filled with high magic, Lovecraftian secrets, and a system eerily reminiscent of a video game. Zed is given a set of three quests and sets about completing them... perhaps a bit too easily. Almost as if the world is bending to his will. He meets up with a high priestess who introduces him to the world and the monastic order's way of life. On planet Jita, he quickly discovers that morality here is just a little bit twisted. Dark is light and heavenly beings have horns, not wings. And... he's supposed to be the hero? His actions soon garner the attention of an enigmatic eldritch horror, and things are about to take a turn. Strange Aeons – In which immortality does not equal invulnerability.
