robin arellano was taken three weeks ago by the kidnapper known as 'the grabber', making him his/her sixth victim. not much is known in this case other than the 'grabbers' previous five victims. more news to come
☏︎
zach frustratingly paced along the upstairs hallway, the other boys standing by the top of the stairs watching him,
"he's not back yet! why isn't he back yet?!" he abruptly stopped walking stomping his foot hard on the floor,
"hey hey hey calm down," 'bruce' said calmly walking over to the stressed boy
"calm down?! he's been gone for over 4 hours! 4 HOURS!! what the fuck is a man with no social life doing outside for 4 fucking hours?!" zach began raising his voice as the other boys just stared at each other with a knowing expression,
"grocery shopping..?" the smallest of the boys said making zach glare at him, "okay okay sorry, not funny,"
just then they heard the sound of the 'grabbers' van being parked outside, followed by the back being opened, all the boys rushed downstairs only to see the man carrying a boy into the house, his arm all bloody from a very visible cut on it
"well fuck," mumbled 'bruce' as they watched the man carry the boy into the basement
"GOD DAMMIT!" yelled zach as he kicked a wall in frustration, walking over to the couch and angrily sitting down.
the 5 boys just stood there (🧍🏻) not really sure of what to do.
ever since the grabber had taken robin, zach had been considerably more irritable, and none of the boys had seen him this angry before,
"i'll go," whispered robin before he walked over to his friend taking a seat beside him. zach—who was now bouncing his leg and biting his nails—looked at robin as a way of asking him what he was doing

"you okay?" robin asked before wrapping an arm around his friend, waiting to be pushed off only to be met by two arms wrapping around him tightly, as if being scared to let go.
"i hate him," zach whispered, his voice cracking as angry tears threatened to spill out,
"i know, we all do,"
the boys all made their way down the stairs, one by one entering that damned basement to take a look at the new boy. as per usual they gathered around the mattress and studied his face,
"he looks—," zach begins but is quickly cut off by a terrifyed sounding robin
"finn, no no no no," he backed away slowly, his hand over his mouth in pure shock as his back hit the wall and he slowly slid down, not blinking, just staring at the unconscious boy on the mattress,
"what happened?"
"it's finn. zach you don't remember him?" zach pondered on that name, finn, it had been a while since he'd heard it but there was no mistaking it
"finney blake?!" he raised his voice in agony and robin nodded, confirming his nightmare. everyone else in the room looked extremely confused, looking back and forth between robin, zach and this so called finney.
"you guys know him?"
"he's—was our friend," robin said, finally snapping out of his trance and looking at the other boys, who all just stared at him and zach
"i-i know him too, i played a baseball game against him" 'bruce' said, everyone looked at him as he just stared at finney in disbelief.
"jesus," paperboy whispered once he saw the bloody rocket ship in finneys hand,
"guess we know what happened to the grabbers arm," 'bruce' concluded with a shocked expression.

"try the phone," zach told the boy as they both stood near that creepy looking black phone that had given them all false hope.
"okay," he said and walked over to the phone, he picked it up.
finney looked at the phone with a puzzled expression, the cable was cut, but he still heard ringing. nonetheless he walked over to the phone and picked it up.
"hello?"
shocked, the ghost boy quickly hung it up and turned around to see an equally shocked zach,
"holy shit," zach exclaimed before they both ran up the stairs looking for the othe boys to tell them their shocking discovery,
"he what?!"
"he heard the phone! he picked it up, we heard his voice in the phone!"
"so why didnt you say anything?"
"i–i got scared and hung up..." the boy whispered while looking down in shame.
"hey, it's okay, at least we know he hears it now," said 'bruce'
"we can help him," zach said in satisfaction
finally, they could help somebody get out of this mess.

Incursions
This blurb concerns Incursions book 1: Incarceration. If you could buy superhuman abilities, but they might kill you—or worse—would you do it? Ten years ago, in a world not so different from our own, people with powerful abilities appeared. The new powers were dangerous, dangerous to acquire—dangerous to have—dangerous to wield. World governments raced to find and eradicate the abilities and those who possess them while using the media to rule by fear. Whereas corporations sought to exploit the abilities for profit. Raz Owens was living the dream - a rising star at a job he enjoys, a girlfriend he loves, but it all comes crashing down when Raz disregards his late father's advice. He is pulled into a chaotic underworld of clandestine labs, shadow organizations, and super-powered criminals. Used as a human test subject in a place where few survive the day, he must last long enough to escape. His only advantage? A power that seems nearly useless—a heads-up display. Contains: monsters, violence, death, dismemberment, gamelit, superpowers, superpower consequences, good guys, bad guys, good guys who might be bad guys, bad guys who think they are good guys, good guys that might go bad, bad guys that might turn good, guns for hire, competence, incompetence, continence, incontinence, conspiracies, and some of what I just said wasn't true. This story is written in third person limited POV. That means you can expect to know many of the thoughts and inner dialog of one character, and only see the actions of other characters. This POV does include scenes without the main character, and thus the reader can and will know things the main character does not. Further, this means characters act on what they know, which is almost always less than the reader knows. Something else to know. These books do not hold your hand. If you're reading it and thinking "Gosh, why aren't 'they' doing some 'obvious' thing." Bad news. You probably missed something that explains exactly that. If you're seeking a light read that doesn't ask much of you as the reader, you're invited and very welcome to come on in, but this might not be the story for you.
8 145Savage Hunters
Giant monsters roam the land Civilization is frozen in a savage age. For the beast slayer Alden, power and survival are one and the same. The ancient evil that once ravaged his village and murdered his ancestors has returned. At the same time, politics hurls Alden and his crew into gladiator pit battles for control of the throne. When Alden takes possession of a cursed sword promising untold power, the hunter is determined to save his people by slaying every giant monster standing between him and the throne. But the angry ghost trapped inside the blade has other ideas. Buckle up for the brutal LitRPG ride of a lifetime Savage Hunters is an alternate-world neolothic fantasy. Characters grow their powers with explicit stat blocks presented right in the text, including levels, attribute scores, and unlockable skill trees. Experience is accumulated by battling enormous monsters the size of buildings. Political intrigue and romance elements ramp up as the series progresses. I originally wrote this story after playing Monster Hunter with my niece. She was 12 at the time, already an avid reader, and wanted to read my other published books. I'm a licensed psychotherapist specializing in severe trauma so I tend toward darker fiction. I told her my usual books are too brutal for her but I'd write her something special. The result was this series, which has been praised by both teens and adults for its depth and universal appeal. It begins with an emphasis on cultural elements because I consulted with a trained anthropologist to craft this neolithic setting down to exacting social detail. After these opening chapters, it rapidly shifts to an action-packed adventure. The first 3 books are fully written as of November 2020, totalling approximately 69 chapters. The first book has been professionally edited already. The following two books require some editing which I'll do on a chapter-by-chapter basis as releases progress. I welcome reviews and comments. Writing is a passion, and reader engagement makes my labor all the sweeter.
