My mum sighs and ushers me to sit down at the table. "I am". He says. "Who told you?". Mum asked. "Aunt Haru". I answered. "Of course she did". Mum shakes his head. "I'm a God wolf too!". I yelped. "I know". Mum said. "You... Know?". I blinked. "How do you know?". I asked. "Your father and I saw your eyes when you were a baby". Mum says. "Why didn't you tell me?". I asked.
"Cause that was the last time we seen your eyes change". Mum said. "Why are you asking now?". Mum looks at me. "Cause God wolves are forbidden wolves". I said. "Forbidden". Mum spat the word out coldly. "We are very rare wolves that was damn near wiped out by hunters cause of how we look". Mum said. "Where the hell did you learn that God wolves are forbidden?". Mum asked.
"Umm... School?". I gave mum a nervous grin. "How can a wolf be forbidden? Did that question go through your mind?". Mum asked and I shook my head. "Why are you so interested in God wolves now?". Mum asked and I looked down. "Joowon". Mum hissed my name and I shivered. "I've... Been having pain in my eyes lately". I said and mum grabs my face to make me look at him.
"And you're saying something now!?!". Mum yelled. "I...". "How long?". Mum interrupts me. "Um...". "Don't make me ask again". Mum glares. "Since I was eight". I told him. "Are you serious?". Mum lets my face go. "And you couldn't tell me!?!". Mum shouted. "I thought it was just headaches!". I yelled. "It could have been a scratch! You're still supposed to tell me when you're in pain!". Mum yells in tears.

"Mum". I hugged him. "Don't cry, I'm sorry". I said. "I was a stupid kid ok? Please don't cry". I hugged him tighter. "You can help me now, I'm tired of these eye pains". I said. "Don't hide things from me". Mum sniffs. "I won't, I promise". I said. "Please calm down, I don't want dad to kill me". I said and mum giggles. "I'm ok". Mum says and I let him go. "Thank god". I sighed.
I made some tea as a apology and told him what Aunt Haru told me. "Your eyes are different?". Mum tilts his head. "That's what Aunt Haru said". I told him. "She didn't tell you how, did she?". Mum says and I shook my head. "Umm... How did you and Aunt Haru met?". I asked and mum chuckles. "She just appeared". Mum said. "She was also my protector and she still is". Mum said.
"So that's why dad was yelling at her when she helped you with those thugs". I nodded. "Yeah... They still don't like each other". Mum said. "They are going to kill each other". I said. "I think they're cute". Mum giggles. "So... Do I have a protector too?". I asked. "I'm... Not sure". Mum taps his chin. "Every God wolf has one". I jumped at Haru's voice behind me.
"Can you please stop doing that!". I shouted. "No one told you to jump". Haru says. "You scared me!". I told her. "Your wolf senses are terrible". Haru huffs. "Hello Haru". Mum greets. "Your Holyness". Haru bows. "Are you ever going stop doing that?". Mum asked. "And disrespect you? Never". Haru scoffs. "How's Mr. Suho?". I asked. "Alive". Haru answered. "Not the answer I expected". I said.
"Meh". Haru shrugs. "Oh yeah". Haru smacks me in the back of my head. "Ow! What was that for!?!". I shouted. "Making your mother cry and not telling him about your life". Haru hissed. "I...". "I glanced at dad. "H-hi d...". "Get out of my face". Dad spat. "I understand". I said.
And ran to my room.

What Was Lost Outside Time
What happens to a mind, subjected to an infinite span of time? What remains, when it is taken out again? This is the story of an individual reborn after such time has passed that nothing remains of what it was; an individual who must learn once again what it is to be, beginning with awareness of the idea of awareness, and growing from there; from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to awareness of society, and on. This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.

The Pugilist
Vincent Roy Salazar has never been your common folk. He climbed any mountain he found in front of him. From a bright young student to an accomplished professor, his life can be described as a continuous race to the top of his chosen fields. Patriarch of a loving family, proud father of three already grown siblings, Roy realizes that his life is the perfect picture of what the average man strives for, and for that he is truly grateful. But happiness is a difficult-to-reach goal, and as he lies in a pool of his own blood, his fist cracked, a young lady crying while cradling his head, he remembers what really gave sense to his youth. Pure Unadulterated Violence The Pugilist wants to be a different take on isekai shenanigans. What would happen if instead of a moronic idiot, a depressed high schooler, or a wannabe hero the one to get his do-over is a fully grown man that has already seen what life has to offer in full? Someone who conformed himself to society, but has always craved something different? In a journey of self-discovery, academy building, god-slaying, and absolutely no harem we follow someone driven by logic, experience, and a smokey goal: to fuck shit up, have fun while doing so, and maybe resume his career as a professor for those strange, magic-wielding, unstable youths that seems to never get enough of his presence. Guys, a few notes, first of all, this is my first time writing long-form fiction. I have a background in psychology, and my main income comes from writing dreary financial articles on SEO blogs. But after a bad break-up, and finding myself falling asleep only while thinking of deus ex machina for stories on this site (and for APGTE) I decided to try my hand at this web series thingy. I'm confident in my grammar, but that's it. Everything else will be a first time, and as such any constructive criticism is encouraged and gratefully accepted. Now, on the story. Romance will be introduced once my little heart is mended, if you are scared of LGBT you may be turned off by the fact that I plan to have no taboo of any kind in my universe, but I won't ever write detailed sex scenes for any characters so don't worry too much. The litRPG part is very light and will take place later in the novel, but it's a key component nonetheless, for world-building and storyline reasons. I already have everything big planned out, so I won't drop it outta nowhere, and I hope you won't find too many flaws in how things pan out. I plan to make The Pugilist an interactive story, with secondary characters created by my audience and introduced after tweaks and careful planning. The main reason I'm writing this is that I want to build a community for myself in this time of isolation. I discovered that exercising, playing the piano or video games means jack-shit when you are utterly miserable, so I hope to give some value to my readers in exchange for praise, fame, money, and companionship. I give full props to anyone who has read this whole mess of a synopsis: I hope to not disappoint too much, now let's write some more steaming garbage that will be in dire need of editing later on.

A Long Refrain
September, in the Continuate: For most students living in the Third Division, the month's arrival usually means the start of a new school year. But not so for one particular freshman, whose first month at college seems to never end—literally. Set during the 20th year of the nation's Rectification Era, A Long Refrain follows Melody Quick’s attempts to escape from the month-long time loop she's found herself trapped in. Her journey, which starts in the capital city of Somnhaven, will take her across the vast expanse of land once known as Circadia, whose forgotten histories, ancient secrets and eccentric inhabitants could hold the key to discovering the true nature of the loop and the role she herself plays within it. However, the more she learns, the more cruel truths she must face: Will she really be able to handle the awful reality behind the loop, and all that it entails? And will those very same answers she's found be enough to not only break her free from the loop, but to also protect the people she holds dear? (A-and from what, exactly ...?)

Ferrian's Winter
Ferrian has been running his whole life. Running, because he has no choice. Wherever he goes, Winter follows. Wherever he sleeps, frost creeps at his door. From town to town he hastens, frightened, tired; forever trying to keep one step ahead of the cold, the snow and the devastating storms. It is a kind of curse, and Ferrian has no idea what it means. Only someone with a knowledge of magic might be able to to help him, but sorcerers are nearly extinct in the world. Two brothers remain, however; the last of their once-noble kind, holed up in a secluded valley, waging their own private and very personal war. Ferrian, captured by the local law enforcers, finds himself unexpectedly amongst friends sympathetic to his cause, and together they set out on an adventure-filled quest to find the last sorcerers. * * * * * This is a completed, self-published novel, over two volumes, that I am serialising for Royal Road.
