05/03/18: peaceful as rainstorms that hammer at windows

doubt overwhelms me when i am told

the universe denies what the heart wants to hold

for its plans work better for the future of my soul

but what's better than you to make me whole?

but perhaps it's time i face the truth:

my care and love are both refused

for what it takes for you to fall

is not be me, and that is all.

my heart mourns when yours are nearby

though i mind not one bit, for it serves to remind:

my heart may break with your every stride,

but still it exists, and with me it resides.

hearts shall heal and grow stronger with time;

time shall cure this heartbreak of mine.

as with evenings all shall rest their eyes,

then so shall my heart, my words, my sighs.

my love for you burns like the sun,

but dusk shall arrive, all will be done.
