His name was Kanya Bun Ma.

Kanya meaning; the girl, a virgin, and woman of youth. Kanya was all of those, but he was also a boy...at least that's what he fonder to narrate himself. He fonder to himself ritualistically, quotation like a religion, a prayer , a testament. He was a disciple. Within those milliseconds, hours, days, weeks, and years he still fond.

When his Mæ̀, P'Thai conveyed him in a holm clear as a crystalline, wet as a cows tongue, she knew in that moment that whoever was in the seat of her stomach was her rubie. For she has never seen the earths water so clear, and mother natures ground wet of such moisture that was monied. It was a miracle that she experienced first hand, with screams and ravishing pains as her orchestra. The moon sitting right on top of the curve that structured her belly vividly, rubbing. As the woman beneath the moon, like bread and butter, spread her legs, knifed the abdomen, and dispatched the egg that swole her whole, and the yolk fresh of wine swam into the sea. She yelled one final time, a yell that was not a painful one, but a yell that signified not only a birthing of a child but as a mother as well. P'Thai laidback on the damp infested monied grass, with thick eyelids and wondering breathes that flew in the cold wind like flies. She half openly counted the stars that dimmed the nights tint with a drugged expression of a new high. A soft voice spoke , "P' Thai." P'Thai was latched in a bliss of yonder, she was aligned with the rotation of the earth and the resonance of the colors that quilted her scenery. Dark moon blue, dusted white undertone, sandy grey, and hot wine all intertwined in that holm. So she couldn't dare hear her name being termed, as she was away with the earth. Then suddenly what felt like a crack in her hypnosis, was a scream that sounded like a carol. P'Thai followed the scream that lured her like a possession wilting eagerly, to what presented itself , a baby. A baby with 10 fingers, 10 toes, 2 indigo eyes fresh like saltwater, one freshly plumped lip, 2 elf liked ears, 1 mouth, a stomach, and harvested heart. But, what stood out effortlessly was not the blood that sopped the baby, nor the blues eyes, but the head full of obsidian hair, and the white streak in the very middle that outshined all the others, perfectly.

This baby was a rubie, P'Thai's rubie, along with her other 6. Although the baby was a rubie, it was hard corroborating the sex of the baby. The rubie had a facade of a girl, but had the genitalia of a man and woman. What was this miracle? The holm was endured with stillness of inquisitiveness, each soul that surrounded that rubie wanted an answer, a bible to lead them into good judgement. Dao, the oldest sister spoke with a tone of conundrum, " what is it?", "hey", P'Kob Sook said sternly to Dao. P'Kob Sook was the father of this new rubie, a shy man with a soft heart and good charms that swept P'Thai right off her feet. He was the man of the home, for he was the only man that was in the life of his 6 girls, maybe 7 and his wife. He never seemed to worry, and he never did, even in this situation of disorientation. P'Kob Sook had no worries at all and calmly took his wife's hand into his, he looked into her dark brown optics as he give her a look of amenity. P'Thai holding P'Kob Sook's hand soaking it with anxiety, fear, content and a globe with so many more abominable sentiments. Her looking into P'Kob Sook eyes goosed her, her lips crumbling and drying like dead leaves from the kiss of the cold puff of wind, finally spoke, "cut it". The 2 words thundered Mali, the second oldest sister, she feared. Dao just stared at her sisters face with no expression, no thoughts she was brain fogged, she just stared and spit at her. What came after the spit was a palm to Mali's face. Mali's body overcame with pain and silence, and not once did she look at Dao's face or cursed at her..she knew Dao was fearing too. Mali just kept looking straightforward silent and numb hoping this moment would disappear with the wind. P'Thai felt motionless and sick, she memorized the looks of her scared children that tried so hard not to be and her poor husband that was willing to do anything she said. P'Thai felt pathetic even with a hand holding hers, she was tired. And, then she brought her attention to her new rubie, she collected and touched her baby with emotion and gratitude like a pearl. The crying she did not so long ago that stuffed her nose and rotted her throat stopped suddenly when the waves crying stopped as well. P'Thai was a woman of great stench and strength, as she looked at her rubie, she looked with eyes of a warrior, a sacrifice that she would have to preform. A power took over P'Thai in that holm that night, a great power a evil source that stole her.

P'Thai pulled the knife from beneath her and swung it into the sky like a soldier and his sword, and what came down from the heavens, a thunder that striked the tip of that knife like a sloppy kiss consummating every inch of it. A view below P'Thai that drank her attention clean was her rubie. The Rubies eyes shined so cold and bitter, it bit shivers down P'Thai's scalp. P' Thai looking with contrite...

She cut.

The whole world was quiet. There was no screams, no gasps, no movement not even the waves moved. There was just 6 girls, one husband, one wife, and one baby. All quiet, still, cold, and tired. P'Thai threw the male genitalia into the hungry waves with no halting, and saluted rubie to the sky and pronounced the baby as a girl. A girl. "Welcome, my girl to earth". Dao couldn't keep her eyes off the waves, as the remembrance of her sibling's genitalia was in there somewhere abandoned, alone and scared. The vision killed her and began eating her alive, she wanted to perish. She wanted to dig herself a grave, and wanted everyone in this holm to watch as she did, even the sea. She was resentful and so so so hate, she couldn't reason with her mothers sudden actions and she didn't want to..she hated her. Mali watching Dao hurt her more than the scene that unfolded right in front of her. Mali screamed, not because her sibling's genitalia was cut off and thrown, or because Dao's face stained her, but because she was lost, lost in the stages of freight and confusion. The other sibling's were too young to function at these series of unfortunate events, one was clapping, the other stuffing her hand in another siblings mouth. They were all babies, innocent and clueless. P'Kob Sook wanted the best for his family, so he stayed quiet as usual, after all he was just a father. The closing line for that night that rang the ears of many, "I'm going to call you Kanya, Kanya Bun Ma, the girl".

As the night closed in, so did the eyes of the family that scattered around that holm cold, traumatized, scared, quiet, innocent and tired.

And ever since that night, that Kanya's genitals were threw into the bottom of that holm, he was forever one with water and the spirits that ate earnestly.
