Elizabeth stared at the unconscious body of her friend. With the help of a very confused Mike, Allison had placed Markus on a sofa in the common room. Elizabeth was still processing the fact that Markus could see her and the other ghosts, and if it's not just Allison, are there other people that can see ghosts? She recalled how the other ghosts had said that they'd never seen anything like it before when Allison first arrived to the house, so how rare is it?

Elizabeth exhaled loudly, planting her face in her palms. She needed to take her mind off of this. "Hey Allison, I'm going to go for a walk. Will you come get me when Markus wakes up?".

Allison nodded, "Sure, I think Thomas is in the garden if you want to go see him".

Elizabeth gave a thankful smile and set off in search for her poet. Thomas had been such a massive help during this stressful process. Whenever she needed a break, or if she needed cheering up, he'd be there, waiting with open arms to lift her spirits.

She eventually spotted him sitting by the lake, lost in his thoughts. A smile spread across her face as she snuck up behind him, wrapping her arms around him from the back.

He flinched slightly, but almost immediately relaxed as he recognised who it was.

Elizabeth rested her head on his shoulder, snuggling her face into his neck. "Hey" she sighed, sitting down to better cuddle the poet.

Thomas smiled, putting an arm around her. "Hello my love. Are you alright?" he asked, placing a hand on her head.

Elizabeth groaned, shifting herself slightly so she could be heard. "It's just crazy. I haven't seen Markus in such a long time, and now he's here...knocked out on the sofa. I just don't know if I'm ready to revisit this part of my past so soon."

Thomas hummed in acknowledgment, moving himself to look at Elizabeth. "Darling, listen to me. This process has been unbelievably hard on you. As someone who's been dead for two centuries I can confirm that revisiting the sensitive parts of your past is Unfathomably difficult, but I had time, You did not. I believe you are ready. Because you are The strongest woman I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. And I will do everything in my power to help you".

A large appreciative grin spread across Elizabeth's face. Taking the poet's face in her hands, she kissed him warmly, letting her hands tangle themselves in his hair. They broke apart, foreheads pressed together. "Thank you." She whispered.

Back in the house, The Captain and Pat had been tasked with watching Markus.

"Wow, it's just so mad isn't it?" Pat chuckled.

The Captain wasn't paying attention. He was staring at Markus. The last time The Captain had seen him, he distinctly remembered how he felt him, similar to how he felt when he saw Mike for the first time.

Pat repeated himself, finally getting The Captain's attention.

"I'm sorry, what's 'mad'?" He asked.

"Well another living person can see us! This proves Alison isn't a special case! There's more people like this out there!" Pat said excitedly.

The Captain nodded in agreement. "Yes, I suppose it is interesting to consider" he answered bluntly.

Suddenly, Markus began to stir, groaning and raising a hand to his head. "Nghh...w-what happened?". He opened his eyes slowly and sat upright, turning his head and freezing when he saw the two ghosts.

"J-jesus Christ...I'm going insane" he stuttered, shuffling as far back into the sofa as he could.

Pat stood, making Markus flinch. "Actually you're not! Easy mistake to make I know but I can ensure that-"

"THEY FUCKING TALK TOO?" Markus screamed, cutting off Pat.

"Now now, let's ease down the language." Pat chided, turning to the Captain "go get Elizabeth" he whispered. The Captain nodded and gave Markus an awkward smile before leaving.

"Elizabeth!" The Captain yelled, running into the garden.

Elizabeth turned around, seeing him running towards her was admittedly quite funny to watch.

"What is it Cap?" She asked, standing up.

"He's awake, Pat's up there now attempting to calm him down" he explained.

Elizabeth turned to Thomas, who took her hand in support. She sighed. "Time to go visit the past".
