"Alison? Are you up here?" Elizabeth called. She'd been searching for Alison for a while now, Robin was due to give his talk on spear making and Alison had said she'd wanted to watch.

"Ah, Elizabeth! Searching for Alison I see?" It was the Captain, holding his swagger stick under his arm tightly. "If you have a minute, there's something I wanted to talk to you about."

"Of course Cap, what do you need?" Elizabeth and the Captain had become quite close, Elizabeth seeing the Captain as a sort of farther figure, while the Captain saw her as a strong young woman worthy of respect.

"I've been hearing...rumours, that you and somebody else in this house have gotten...closer to say the least" he stated, straightening his back.

Elizabeth swallowed thickly, hiding her hands in her pockets to avoid her picking at them nervously. "I'm not sure what you're talking about Cap, who did you hear this from?"

"Oh that doesn't matter, what does matter is that you think about this Elizabeth, you're so young, and devotion is a very large responsibility" he said, his voice rather hushed.

Elizabeth crossed her arms, furrowing her brows. "Cap, I'm a 27 year old woman, I'm capable of making my own decisions. I'm not sure what you're insinuating but if I did have a relationship with someone here I would be more than sure about it!"

She let out a long sigh, looking down to the floor. "What's gotten into you Cap? Something has clearly happened. You're normally not this...concerned."

The Captain cleared his throat, turning his head away from Elizabeth. "I'm sorry, Elizabeth. If I'm being honest, I've come to value you over the years you've been here. You're a bright young woman after all, and I suppose I've grown fond of your company."

Elizabeth felt a smile stretch across her face. "Oh Cap, I value you too. So you're telling me you're apposed to my relationship with Thomas because you're worried you won't see me as much?"

"Ahah! So you admit it! You and Thorne are in a relationship!" The Captain declared proudly, feeling as though he'd cracked a case.

Elizabeth rolled her eyes, laughing quietly. "Well I suppose it couldn't stay hidden forever. Look Cap, what you think means a lot to me, but this is my choice. All I ask is that you respect that, and don't tell the others for the time being" she asked.

The Captain nodded, a small smile on his face. "Alright." He replied simply.

Elizabeth gave him a smile and left to find Alison, continuing her yelling as she ascended the stairs.

The Captain watched, letting out a brief sigh. He hoped the girl would be wise about this.

Thomas was sat in the common room with the others, looking impatiently at the door. Lizzy had been gone for a while, and he was starting to consider going to look for her.

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late" Alison smiled as she entered the room, Elizabeth following behind.

Elizabeth took a seat next to Thomas, and Alison sat next to her. "Remind me why you wanted to come and watch this talk out of all the other activities we do?" Elizabeth whispered to Alison.

"I just want to see what you get up to! You told me these are usually interesting"

"Yes when I'm giving them!" She giggled, looking back to Robin who had taken his place in front of the rest of the group.

Robin's talks were usually the same. He'd go on a rant about bears or mammoths, and how much he missed food.

Thomas turned to Lizzy, whispering in her ear. "Are you alright? You took a long time to find Alison."

Elizabeth turned to him. "I'm fine Tommy, I just ran into the Captain. He found out about us and was worried I was making the wrong choice"

Thomas frowned slightly, confusion etching over his face. "What do you mean? Do you think you're making the wrong choice?"

"What? No! Not at all Tommy." She replied, a sincere smile on her face. "Listen, I know it hasn't been long since I said it, but maybe we should just tell everyone. They'll find out one way or another and I want to make sure they hear it from us"

Thomas nodded, looking around before planting a light kiss on her cheek. "Alright my Lark, we can do it no if you'd like. Robin has almost finished speaking"

Elizabeth nodded. She waited for Robin to finish his sentence before standing up and clearing her throat. "Excuse me! Me and Thomas have something to say!"

Thomas blushed as she pulled him up. "Y-yes! The last few days have been very eventful for me and Lizzy, and, well, we're courting! Just thought you should know" he finished, sitting back down and trying to hide the red on his face.

"WHAT?" The ghosts said in unison, Alison too.

"Oh how wonderful! A real romance in the house! Oh how exciting" Kitty swooned, her lips curled in a huge grin.

"Good for you two! I hope something good comes from it" Pat rejoiced.

Alison gives Thomas a 'well done' smile, which he responded to by mouthing "thank you".

Elizabeth giggled at the way everyone was reacting. She was glad that it was overwhelmingly positive, even Lady B gave her an approving smile.

She sat back down next to Thomas as the ghosts started to leave. "That went well" she laughed, taking his hands in her's.

Thomas laughed too, bringing her hands to his lips and kissing them lightly. "Indeed, my love"
