Hello!

If you've read Poetry Jar in the past month or so, it's most likely that you did it because of this:

or because of Poetry Jar ranking pretty high in some popular categories, like #1 in Poetry and Poems both [ y i k e s ]

And to all of you who voted, commented, added it to your library, or followed me because of it, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your absolute support, even if I feel unworthy of it all * insert sobbing emoji *

I first started writing poetry when I was 15, only scribbling random words down in the back of my school notebook, never making sense or rhyme to anything. None of it is what I've been particularly proud of, I mean, no one wanted to hear about the eulogy I wrote for my first tricycle, right?

In September 2019, I went through one of the biggest heartbreaks of my life. Being this rubble left behind after an earthquake was never something I had in mind when I walked into our relationship, but life often throws wildcards at us that we can't fathom, and we just gotta rise. It was during October that I started writing poems that echoed my emotions, and I'm sorry a few of you cried reading some of my poems. Let's Meet Again was the first poem I wrote after my break up, when I hoped and begged and wished for him to come back, and When I say I love You was written sometime in November 2020, where I think you can see what a radical shift my thoughts have been through in this one year.

I mean, if a boy sees you crying and still deems it fit to answer a casual phone call from his ex.... Just get the fuck out of there, amirite?

ANYWAY

I'm long over it, and we're more focused on self growth and positivity these days, so I am leaving Poetry Jar behind for now, with the small thought of perhaps expanding the collection one day long enough to publish, maybe?

The GOOD NEWS is that I am starting a new collection of my poems called MOONCHILD: Conversations with the Moon. I've published the first part, so you can check it on my profile!

So go ahead and add it to your libraries!

Love ya,

Pari C.
