when I met the sun

he was loud and bold

and when he walked in the room

everyone couldnt help but notice him

he was the life of the party

and he always had a joke to tell

when he left me in the evening

I didn't know what to do

I was broken out of a spell

skin burnt, eyes blinded

I didn't know what to do

when I met the moon

he was beautiful to look at

he spoke in hushed tones and

he learnt the workings of my mind

he stayed silent when we were tired

he spoke of us when he was happy

he spoke of us when he was upset

when he left me in the morning

I didn't know what to do

but wait for his presence again

the silver sparkle blinding my eye

I didn't know what to do

when i met you

you were loud and bold

you were beautiful to look at

and within seconds I was sold

the idea of your hushed whispers

and the thought of your warm touch

i was seeking the best parts

of a love long disappeared

snatching from your nest

that was built for someone else

i didn't know what to do

there's a hollow space in my chest

from where your love has vanished

i still don't know what to do
