I was going to spend some time with my friend Kate, but something happened in her family now I'm walking through the doors of mine, my boyfriends, and two of his friends new house. They were expecting me to be gone until late afternoon tomorrow, so when I walk into the kitchen with my backpack Kian and Ricky look surprised.
"Something came up in Kate's family so we re-scheduled for sometime next weekend." I say dropping my bag onto the floor and lifting myself onto the counter. "Where's Jc?" I ask not seeing him anywhere.
"In his room I think." Ricky replies looking at Kian with a weird look on his face.
"Okay." I say hopping off the counter and walking up the stairs and stop when I hear moaning from inside Jc's room. I don't want to see anything. I think as I slowly open his door with my eyes covered. "Jc? Something came up in Kate's family-" I stop myself when I hear a feminine voice curse and I slowly uncover my eyes, revealing a horrifying scene, to me at least.
Jc is walking out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist, and the girl is laying in his bed in lingerie on trying to cover herself.
"J-J-Jc?" I stutter out.
"London, you were never supposed to find out..." He says running his hand through his wet hair.
"Not supposed to find out what?" I raise my voice, "That you were cheating on me?! Well, good thing, you can date whoever this is, because we are through!" I yell, tears wanting to fall. I turn on my heel and walk out slamming the door.
I walk into the living room to a shocked Kian and Ricky, past them and into the back yard, tears still spilling out of my eyes. I sit at the edge of the pool, taking off my dark blue converse, putting my feet in the water. Thinking.

How long has he been cheating on me? Where will I live? I cannot go back to Texas. Do Kian and Ricky know? All of these questions go through my head as I stare into the water, letting my tears fall. Did he cheat in Texas? Jc and I have been dating for almost 3 years now, but he ruined it.
I hear the door close, and I whip my head to the noise, seeing Kian standing there.
"What.." I ask, my voice soft and wiping my tears quickly.
"How are you..?" He asked, his voice also soft. I look at him with the 'is that really the best question right now' look. "Sorry. I don't know what to say. Jc is so stupid." He says and sits next to me.
"I don't have anywhere else, Kian. I don't want to go back to Texas." I say, and start crying harder. I feel his arm around my torso, as he slids me closer to him so he's hugging me.
"But you don't." He said. I give him a questionable look, and he says "You can stay in my room, with me until you figure things out." He says smiling.
"Kian, are you sure?" I ask, and he nods. "Awh, thank you, I really appreciate it..." I say hugging him fully, then thinking I need to get all of my clothes from Jc's room. But I don't want to go in there.
"Okay, I can grab them for you." Kian says startling me. "Just so you know, sometimes you say your thoughts." He says chuckling at me, standing up, and putting his hand out to help me up. I take this offer, and get up. Not letting go of his hand as he leads me into the house, and into his room, where we can hear faint moans from Jc's room, but play music to drown it out.

Player Killer
In the world of New Dawn, the citizens seem to be suffering a divine punishment of some sort. The monsters that plague them are worse then devils, demons, or depraved criminals. The devils have their own twisted morality, demons are not intrinsically bad—they're just above humans in the food chain—and depraved criminals can at least be killed. The undying, capricious monsters kill anything and everything, devouring all in their sights like a swarm of locusts. What's more, the lords and kings who should be protecting them seem to be working with these monsters. When all seems lost, it falls to a young boy to save his people from these monsters… from the players. … In the players' eyes, he is a hidden boss—possibly even the final boss! In the developers' eyes… what the heck is this bug?!
8 218A Queen of Ruins
Some people just want to watch the world burn. I'm not one of those people. Some people see the world as something to be saved, and brought to heights never before imagined. Again, not me. What kind of person am I? I'm a Queen, plain and simple. Lots of people, noble and commoner alike, often complain about life being a cruel mistress, or something similar. When I hear those complaints, I can only laugh, or look at them in contempt. Life is simple, you only need to let yourself take the path you are meant for. Me, I was born a bastard, lived with my mostly sadistic half-siblings, among people who thought I was naturally inferior. And look at me now. *********** I do not claim ownership of the picture
8 164Amie, Android
Ely Brennan. A rising star in the world of architecture, thirty-five years old, well-to-do… and more than a little technophobic. In the year 2251, circumstances have paired this opinionated exponent of a vanishing world with the android Amie, but is there a happy ending in store for this unlikeliest of couples? An experimental story “co-written” with GPT-3, a cutting-edge neural network; much of the android’s dialogue is written by an actual artificial intelligence. Can you tell the difference between human writing and that of a machine?

My name was ordinary. My face was ordinary. My body was ordinary. My live up till now was nothing but ordinary. My everyday routine was nothing but ordinary. I lived a truly ordinary life. My job was ordinary. My ambitions and goal for the future were also ordinary. My skills and knowledge were ordinary. I was nothing but ordinary. But one day I did something out of ordinary which changed my life. I died and was brought to another world. This world was nothing like the fantasy worlds I had always read about. It was truly a harsh world. And in this world I've promised myself to do everything but ordinary. I shall do the extraordinary, I shall resolve me heart and dare to do the impossible. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Author's note: Writing a story is like giving birth to a child. Even though it was your work that brought the child to this world but you will never know the end of that child. Even if you're the one who teaches him, molds him and make his personality but that child will still learn some things on his own. That child will still form his own personality and thoughts. Similarly, I might right this story but eventually the story will move on its own and I would merely write it down. The rules that would be created of this world I shall create will be of its own which myself as a write, I cannot change. I hope you stay with us till the end of this journey.
